(DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! PERIOD!) We had dealt with this company in the past over about the last 8 years several times. When we contacted them Mark spoke with a Lady in this office and she scheduled an Electrician a employee of Alpha Electric to come on 4/26/2013. The man called the day of the appointment and was lost and was about 30 min late. When he arrived he appeared to be very jumpy. He told my partner Mark that he had just been chewed out by his boss. This was the First thing he did wrong. I (Clyde) was unaware of this until later. We had purchased all the Electrical Components needed for the Job. We had everything laid out at each location where a Dimmer or New Light Switch was to be installed. The first thing the Electrician did was to take his Electrical Meter Testing Device Case and set it on one of our Antiques , A Hall Phone Bench with a White material Seat. We had laid blankets at each location for whom ever the Electrician was to be so that they could set their tools on these blankets rather than on our White Carpet or Furniture. So the Second thing this man did wrong was to not be careful and sat his tools on our Antique Furniture. The first location(we were to have him fix) had exposed wires that I had put tape on to keep us alert not to touch those wires. We did this as we needed that circuit still turned on (as it was also the circuit for our Hall Smoke Detectors as well as the Hall Lights). He was to install a Dimmer Switch for the Lights in that location. The Final thing he did wrong was to start a diatribe about the wiring, the device that was to be installed and he became very jumpy and we both were unable to converse with him and to get him to get to the job at hand which was to install our Electrical Components. We were to have dimmers in place of the old light switches and then 2 faulty light switches replaced. By this time we new we could not communicate or work with this Electrician. He was asked to leave at this point and ran out the house and drove off in a fast hurry. We were a bit stunned since we had dealt with Alpha Electric in the past with good results . At this point decided to drive to their office , which is several miles away and speak to the man we normally deal with , Bo Parish, who is their Vice President of Operations at Alpha Electric Co. When we arrived Bo was unaware of this problem. We brought one of the Electrical Components to him to show him what we needed his Electrician to do. We explained what happened and he agreed that his employee was careless about he furniture but could not understand why the man was so jumpy. Bo seemed to understand that we had a conflict in dealing with his Below Par Electrician that was sent out. He claimed he would call us the next day which was Friday 4/26/2013 to reschedule another Electrician for the following week. Well, Bo Parish did not call. Mark called later in the morning and his office staff said that Bo was out of the office all day. Bo also did not call the following Monday 4/29/2013. Bo did not apologize for not calling Mark on the past Friday. We decided again to try with Alpha Electric. Bo said that they were all busy and did not have anyone available and that he would call later in the week. We explained that under no circumstances was he to send the original Electrician back to our house. We explained we needed a calmer more personable Electrician to come out. Well since that time Bo did call back and promised us an electrician (For Friday May 3, 2013). Then Bo called back and later said the Electrician would be late. Then the Electrician called and said he could not come at all. This electrician claimed he would have Bo call us back, he did not. This week starting on 5/7/2013 Monday Clyde called for Bo , they said he was in a Meeting, The week before they told Mark he was at Lunch (Taking 1 1/2 hours for lunch). Clyde also did not get a call back from Bo, but Clyde called back in an Hour during Lunch time and did get Bo . Bo then promised to call Clyde today on Tuesday 5/7/2013. When Clyde spoke to Bo the day before on Monday, Bo explained that the original Electrician was normally the one that he sent out on Jobs like ours. This was complete Hog Wash as I had dealt with other Electricians of his and they never were this man or like this man behaved. So at this point we have determined that Bo Parish is a Liar and is giving us the run around. So we shall now use another Electrical company with proper Electricians that can do our job with the proper qualifications. Clyde Johnstone and Mark Sykes
Description of Work: We contacted this company to install 3 Dimmer Switches where existing light switches are. And we also wanted 2 defective light switches replaced. This work was not performed. We asked the Electrician to leave after several problems with him. We determined that he was not suited for our job. We drove down and spoke to the Vice President of Operations for this company, Bo Parish. He assured us that he would resolve this problem to date he has not (May 7, 2013). We are now searching for another Electrical Company to do our job. (DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!) Clyde Johnstone and Mark Sykes
