Our construction was delayed by several weeks due to previous work loads that were scheduled prior to ours. Other than the delayed start, the project went smoothly once it began.

Beautiful backyard patio. It is 14 feet diameter of a circle. Doesn't get hot when the sun is beating down on it. Not slippery when wet.

They came on time. They stuck with their estimate. The product looks good. I have a little bit of a followup issue. I have a couple of things that need to be touched up. I still have to follow up with them on that. It's nothing major. They were a little sloppy.

They are very nice people. They gave us a couple of homes to go look at to see what their stuff looks like because we got some mixed reviews online. So we asked for some places that we could go and see. They have been good people so far. They are yet to do the work. The quote amount is about $8000. We liked what their product looked like when we saw it. The people were personable enough and were decent. Their work looked pretty good when we saw it. So we went with them. The price seemed a little bit pricey.

It was a good experience. They did the work that was requested to be done. One of the things that I have read earlier about them was making sure that there is a worker there that spoke English, and yes, there was this someone who was here that spoke English but the main worker did not, so there was a little bit of miscommunication between the exact color that I wanted off of the finished product and what I got. The work itself was good and we liked it. The colors were not exactly what I wanted but I think that that was just because of the miscommunication between the main person that was doing the coloring and not speaking English and the translation of what I had wanted. The people I came in contact with were very courteous and good workers. The finish itself as far as not the color but the texture was exactly what I wanted. They did that well and they cleaned up afterwards. There was no problem that way. They were here on time and they finished when they said that they would finish.

We did not use them and looked them up on the Better Business Bureau where you can see whether they had any complaints with the Better Business Bureau and they had quite a few complaints but the young man that came out was very nice. He offered to not even charge us until all the work was done because we didn’t want it to be a scam where we paid a certain amount down and they did the work or didn’t do the work. So we chose not to use them. We wished we could use them as they are well advertised here and they have beautiful persons that come out. Eventually down the road we might consider suing them but speaking to them personally over the phone and in person they did a great job. They were very meticulous with what they were doing and they were trying to work with us but we were just weary because of what was on the business bureau. If we hadn’t looked upon the better business bureau we would have definitely gone with them based upon the vouchers that they sent out in the home magazine and based on how they reacted. We thought that the price was a little high.

My wife and I have been planning to re-do our pool and replace our deck for quite some time. I knew that the concrete overlay we wanted would be the most expensive part of the project, so I called several concrete companies in June 2013 for estimates on work to begin in September. Allied was not the cheapest or most expensive, but thier product impressed me the most and they were quite professional. Matt came to the house at the scheduled time and measured everything. Came back inside and was able to give me a quote on the spot. I explained that his would be the last part of our project after the deck and pool were complete. That worked for him because their calendar was full through the end of summer. Had the deck and pool done by other companies Once the pool and deck were complete, I called Matt back and we set a date. Started a week late due to shower activity in Houston, but I agreed that concrete work should not be done in the rain. When they started, the crew always arrived on time and were very professional. The new concrete was poured first and allowed to dry for a week. This crew also installed a drain line since the project was big. When the overlay crew came out, they seemed to really know what they were doing. They first prepped the concrete with a pressure wash, then poured a special concrete, which they would then carve into stones by hand. After that dried, they mixed together several colors to apply to the indivicually carved "stones". Once it was finished, they applied grout between the stones. Final piece was to apply a sealant to the new surface. The finished product met my highest expectations. The project looked great. Again, they were not the cheapest, but I think that this is one of those things that you get what you pay for, so, well worth the money.

They gave us a quote on March 4. They were very cooperative and professional.

I think they did a good job overall and my patio looks much better than it did before. My only complaint is they hand carved a compass which is not done very nice. Lines are crooked, the actual compass itself isn't pointing exactly to NSEW (off by just a little bit), and it's just too big. So I don't recommend doing something like that, just stick with the overlay.

From cradle to grave the project went off without a hitch. They were on time for the estimate and they quickly quoted and explained all the services. How they explained it was exactly the outcome of the service and very happy with the result. They were professional and completed in the time they allotted. We are very happy with the work they provided and would highly recommend them to others.

Called & they were very insightful with estimated plans & costs. My project included laying pavers to expand my existing concrete patio & to convert the concrete into a stamped look. They were also helpful with adding an outdoor fireplace & concrete bench in a horseshoe shape. Unfortunately our budget didn't allow the job, but when we are able we will definitely use them.

It went well. We were happy with the product and the service. The product was what we were looking for.

I am very happy with them. They communicated very well. They were very punctual.

The final result is beautiful but there were "bumps" along the way. Allied refers all customer questions and concerns to their sub contractors which caused us a lot of trouble. We contracted with and paid Allied, not their subs. The construction schedule was constantly changing which is normal, but we were not kept informed. We frequently waited all day for a promised crew and they didn't show up. It seemed that our life was not important to the Carvestone folks. Our underground sprinkler system was broken by the concrete people. They came out twice to repair it, but I had to finally spend two days fixing it myself.

While the people were very polite, the main reason for my dissatisfaction is because they created a big mess, damaged the pool tile and coping, and when they requested payment our backyard was in shambles. For their part, they did replace the damaged coping they paint our coping to cover the stains they made, and they did send someone out to clean up the mess and get the yard looking more presentable. It was unfortunate that we had to stay on top of them to get this mess cleaned up.

The job went well. The contractors showed up on time and finished the job on time. The final finish looked as good as the showroom sample. The workers cleaned up after themselves when the job was finished.

After the finish of the project, my husband and I took off work to meet with Josh, the owner. We explained to him our disappointment with the crew that was assigned to us. The garbage left on our property, the unprofessionalism of the crew...etc. He listened, but did not offer anything other than to send the same crew to our home, which was unacceptable. We even had photos of their shoddy work, they sealed over an area of dirt!!!! Every time they did something on our property, it took at least 2 days to "fix" or "clean up" after them. He offered nothing, (other than to send the same crew) and actually said, "well, there will always be collateral damage" The reason for my review now.......only 6 months later.....cracks in one area, and ALL of the expansion joints are discolored. The expansion joints number over 12, and they, for some reason, look like a portion of them is wet, and a portion dry. Very noticeable, and in fact, there is grass growing out of the cracks on our pool deck....which has never happened before. Again, this is only 6 months after completion!!!!! I will contact Josh again, with pictures, and also would be glad to send anyone pics of the 6,000 dollar job we got. By the way....very small area.....a 3 foot section around a 16x30 pool!!!!

That worked really well. In fact, I have arranged for some clients to look at my property and I showed it to them and told them everything. I am sort of being a sales person for him but I do not get a commission.
