We are the original owners of our home and have lived in Tempe, AZ for over 30 years. Our concrete patio and walkways were showing their age and we had some cracks to repair. After looking and talking to various vendors for solutions, we found the Carve Stone folks (Allied Outdoor Solutions). Their sales people were great and very knowledgeable. They listened to what we wanted to do to correct and recondition our concrete and gave us a detailed estimate and timeline. Their offering was a bit more expensive than the other estimates we had, but we felt that the promised product and look was worth the extra cost. We were correct. The work was done as promised and only mother nature altered the timeline. We live in the desert (Tempe, AZ) and there was rain in the forecast on the scheduled start date. They were flexible and adjusted the start date to fit the weather. Their crew (2 people) were on time and hard workers. There is a lot of handwork (labor) involved in their process. We were given samples and color choices and they worked with us as their “Artists did their Magic”. The final finish and look is fantastic and we would recommend them to anyone who needs to address a “Better Look” for their concrete.

My pool deck had gotten to a point where I refused to go in my backyard. I had Allied come out several years ago. I decided to wait and that was a huge mistake. I wish I could go back in time and have them do this work back then. The work is absolutely beautiful! It looks so good and I now go in my backyard daily. I can sit there and admire how beautiful it came out. The whole team was great. Matt, Austen and Francisco were all a pleasure to work with. Super respectful, great communication and Francisco is a true artist! They never cut corners and use quality products. They exceeded my expectations and I’m SUPER picky. I highly recommend them!

Patio Nightmare Beware of doing business with Allied Outdoor Solutions DBA Carvestone I had a really bad experience. On March 9th, 2019 contract was signed to remove tile from patio and redo with Carvestone overlay with an estimated 6-8 weeks completion date. After over 1 month and no scheduling call, the company was called and finally at the end of April a crew was sent out to demo the tile from the patio. Once demolition had been partially completed, leaving the tile mastic with trowel lines, the company then said it would be 2-3 months for a crew to come back out and finish the job. The patio has been left unsightly and a trip hazard for an 80 year old widow living alone. The company did allow cancellation of the contract due to the situation but did not refund the deposit.

Allied made my backyard enjoyable again! After a bad experience with a contractor who walked off my job, Allied came in to save the day! I now have a beautiful outdoor space. And they did everything in what I considered record time! Thank you Ryan, Angel, and Jordan!

We hired Allied Solutions to redo the plaster in our pool and redo our decking with carved pave stone and redo our sidewalks. We are so pleased with how the process went and the final results. They provided a phone number for our project manager who answered any concerns we had along the way. The payment options were helpful as well. They provided a line of credit, so we could get everything we wanted done at the same time.

To be honest, I was severely disappointed with the service Allied provided me. While the end product (stamped concrete slab) met my expectations, I had multiple issues with the project both before and during construction. I went with this company because they had stellar reviews, and seemed to take special pride in their customer service scores. I was willing to pay a bit more to work with a company that would ensure I was happy with the results. But my experience was that they may claim to be focused on customer satisfaction, they did not follow-through. In brief, the multiple problems I experienced were: Communication: Once I signed the contract and put down the down payment, it was many weeks before I heard back from my Project Manager on when my install date would be calendared. Granted, some of the delays were likely caused by the crazy amount of rain we received in Oct/Nov, but I never received a call/text explaining any of this. It was only when I proactively reached out that I got the updates I needed. Leaving equipment behind: On multiple instances, the construction crew left a utility 4-wheeler in my driveway overnight. Aside from partially blocking access to my garage, I feel that it also left me open to liability had it been stolen (it was clearly visible from the street). Fence damage: Apparently, in order to get the aforementioned 4-wheeler closer to the job area, the crew cut through my new 8' privacy wooden fence and removed/replaced this section as needed. Taking this action was NOT discussed with me ahead of time. While the fence section was put back, cutting through the horizontal supports as they did has weakened that entire area. In addition, the action of running the 4-wheeler through that area of lawn left significant grooves in the soil/grass - to the point where I now have to put bricks in the gap under the pickets so my dog does not see this as an escape route. Showing up in the evening with no warning: On at least one occasion, a crew member came back by in the early evening, at least a couple hours after everyone had gone home. Not sure what they were there to do, but the gentleman in question did not call or knock on the door - just walked through my back gate. Firstly, this is a dangerous thing for anyone to do, my live-in girlfriend stated to me that had she been alone at the time she would have been dialing 911 to report an intruder. The worst part of this is that there is a clear sign on both sides of the back gate stating that it MUST remain closed at all times. This is to prevent my dogs from getting out. Had I not noticed this person working in the area before my dogs did, they would have escaped out into the neighborhood to maybe be lost forever or hit by a vehicle. Cleanliness: Multiple days worth of empty soda bottles were left lying around. I even found one several weeks later tucked away in some equipment I had put aside. There were also two significant piles of concrete dust/stone/aggregate left in the grass to the side of the poured pad. I explained these things in my review of the job with my Project Manager, and that PMs boss. With both people, I do not feel like they were taking my significant concerns seriously. The damage to my fence was not repaired or paid for, and their excuse for their staff coming in after hours and leaving the gate open was basically "well, you cannot train good staff when paying construction prices for labor". This was especially infuriating since it involved the safety of my dogs. Maybe I am an outlier in all this, and Allied does a superior job most of the time. All I can say is that I feel like I not treated as expected, and would be VERY hesitant to hire them again for additional project work I have planned over the next few years.

Carlos Flores was our project manager and he was professional, courteous, and punctual. We could not have asked for a better person to work with. We are very pleased with the service and results.

Outstanding job!! High recommend Allied Outdoor Solutions!!

We needed to replace the driveway and sidewalk due to cracking. The quality of work is excellent!!! The communication with all workers throughout the project was awesome. This company does what they say. The workers cleaned up after themselves each day. It was smoothly run. They made sure we were pleased with every detail before they left on the last day. The new sidewalk and driveway really added curb appeal to our house. It looks wonderful.

We had to remove all our newly poured concrete deck done by another vendor. They had the deck grade towards the pool which continuously had dirt. Allied removed and poured a perfectly graded concrete deck with the addition of a carve stone design which was done with perfection. I strongly recommend Allied Outdoor Solutions. They showed professionalism, where actually ahead of schedule and showed up when they said they would. Just the fact they showed up when scheduled was enough to win my confidence.

Allied did an incredible job making our dream patio a reality. They were professional and helpful, and the crew was amazing! Our project manager was great with communication and we could not be happier! We will definitely be repeat customers!

Would recommend Allied Outdoor Solutions to anyone that asked. Carlos worked with us and explained, in detail, all the different options that were available. When we did not understand, he would go out of his way to send us pictures to help us understand the different techniques. During installation of the patio, Raul and his team were awesome. When I saw something that I did not think was correct, Raul stopped everything and called Carlos to make sure everyone had the correct understanding and then Carlos called me to let me know that everything was ok and then he came by to triple check and to make sure that I was at ease. Which I was because Raul was so kind. When it came to cleanup, Raul went behind his team several times just to make sure that nothing was left behind and there was no mess anywhere which is something else I very much appreciated.

Very well, only delay was city permit.

This company did exceptional work. There were a few hiccups with scheduling, but they made everything right. The work done was great and all of the staff was professional and courteous.

Work was done with no issues and it looks great. They assigned me a project manager (Carlos) and I also met someone on site (Raul). I didn't really have to spend a ton of time dealing with anyone, but I see that as a plus as they communicated quickly and easily when they would be there and when they would be done and the terms and such, but left me alone otherwise. All in all it looks great and I will be considering them when I get back around to covering my new patio.

Allied did a great job. They returned our calls quickly. Everyone I dealt with were very professional. The crew that did the concrete work were easy to deal with. We would hire them again.

Horrible. We first spoke with them in Dec of 2017 it is now 2/2019 and they are still not finished with the project. The patio was poured and they did a great job on that. The firepit has been absolutely horrible. they have had to replace the stone and rework several times, and we are not picky people the work has just been that bad! Despite a crazy timeline and the bad work, no discounts on price have been offered. Communication has been poor, but has gotten slightly better with our new project manager. I chose Allied for their superior portfolio despite their quote being higher than other companies. This has been a huge headache and I do not recommend them in the slightest.

We contracted Allied to help us improve our backyard living space for our home in The Woodlands. We are very happy with the result! They created a fantastic space that we use all the time and it has transformed how we use our backyard! We enjoyed working with Joey and Steven and they are backed by a company that values its clients and the relationships with them. Following the construction a large center-piece tree died and Allied very quickly accepted responsibility and worked to find a solution that further enhanced our property. We miss the tree but love what they did to reconcile. It was unfortunate turn of events but we were very impressed with how they worked to right a wrong and think it speaks loads of their integrity.

The project went well. Jonas was very detailed about what this company was all about. If it wasn't for the way he explained everything, we might have gone the wrong direction with another company. Carlos, the foreman, was an expert at getting this rolling for us once we chose Allied Outdoor Solutions for our driveway project. Raul knows what he is doing. He came in and removed the old cracked driveway and had forms set in only two days. He and his crew are professionals; they work great together. Carlos took care of all the required permits and HOA approvals. Overall the project went well, on time, and on budget. The initial meeting was scheduled and David came out to put together a proposal. David was great to work with and mentioned a 5 - 6 week lead time to get the work going. In reality, it took 10 weeks to get the job started. The second phase was supposed to start a few weeks after the completion of the first. It took another 8 weeks. The final product looked vaguely similar to the pictures, but not like what was expected

If you don't know what Carvestone is, go look it up! I had my small patio done to match the real flagstone boarder already in place. I watched the transformation and still can't stop staring at the finished product. You can't just learn how to do this...….. you have to be an artist to be able to pull it off, and Jose did it! It's unreal. Austen was on top of the project with every breath either by phone, text, pictures or in person with all involved. This is a great group of guys with incredible people skills and artistic talent. Everyone loves my new patio transformation and has to bend over and touch it to see how "real" it is! Oh, it's real all right......the real Carvestone deal!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING WORK! From the sales person (David) to the project Manager (Austen) to the three artists (yes, they truly are) that actually did the work, the project was flawless!!!! We had a lot of rain (surprise, surprise) which caused a few days delay but the project was finished in the timeframe promised as the team knew I was having a family gathering a few days after the project was completed. We had never heard of carve stone before so we were a little apprehensive at first, and now we tell everyone about it. Looks absolutely beautiful and we are so thankful for the excellent service and quality work that was done. We are telling all our friends and family about Allied Outdoor Solutions. If you are thinking of a project, please don't hesitate to call them. Again, we could not be more pleased about the entire process/outcome.

We signed on with Allied based on what the salesman recommended. Unfortunately, we didn't get it in writing, so we didn't get what we thought we were getting. It's was recommended that we get mastic instead of wood as wood rots over time, but they wanted another $950 to do the mastic once they started the work. Since we were already paying $9600 for the driveway we opted out. The driveway looks good overall, but there are trips hazards due to the wood being higher than the concrete. Since they haven't come out to fix it and haven't returned our calls, I don't suspect they'll come fix the problem. I wouldn't say don't use Allied, but I would strongly suggest that you get everything in writing and don't pay them until the job is done right.

Excellent, showed up on time, finished when they said they would. Very satisfied!
