All Tops N Tubs

They did a good job. They completed the work in two days. I gave a 'B' for responsiveness because when I called the first time a lady gave me a different price than the second time I called and got the owner. The owner actually quoted me higher than the lady. I ended up paying the higher price, but the work was done well. They were late arriving for the appointment because they said they got lost.

I had thought about buying a new vanity top and bathroom bowl because of cracking and discoloration around the drain after 20+ years. The re-surfaced top looks like new and I saved a bundle. There were many choices of color and texture and the work was done quickly and very neatly. You cannot tell it is re-surfaced.

The area around the drain in the tub began to peel after less than one year. Now big strips of the refinishing product are peeling off the bottom of the tub, and it has been less than two years. The product was guarenteed to last for five years!!

I can't remember the exact dates (without getting my receipts) but within less than two years time the following has happened; we had our bath tub re-finished. After about 6 months it started to peel we had them come back out and were charged additional monies (when this is under a 5 yr warranty). A few months later it began to peel again, we called them back out and they spot patched it two peeling spots. VERY soon later it was peeling again in the same spot patched area and now in new areas. This last time we called and scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment the man didn't show or call. I called and left a message. About 30 minutes later he called back to say he was out of town and he forgot. (he hadn't even planned on calling me and I had taken off of work that day for this). Then he began to argue with me that my tub wasn't covered and their might be a charge. I asked him how peeling isn't covered when that is part of the warranty (it's not suppose to peel, crack, fade, rip, etc) and he hasn't even looked at what is peeling. He obviously did want to come do it and never planned on doing it. So after a lot of back in forth he said he'd come that next Saturday to "look and tell me if it was covered". The next appointment day came and 9:00am came and went (he was scheduled to come at 9:00am, Saturday 8/15/09). I called at 10:00am asking when they were coming and the man I spoke to said let me call and find out and I'll call you back. Another hour passed still no call. I called again leaving a message. Never heard from anyone. Now we are stuck with a peeling bath tub. They had also painted over the silver drain fixture, and that is one of the parts that continues to peel. I don't know why this wasn't removed before painted. The paint (or whatever the product is they use) obviously doesn't sick to metal. In one of the conversations he referred to this as "free work", I don't believe he ever planned on coming out, he was just going to blow me off and hope I went away. The man I spoke with was the Owner. Do not use they do not honor their warranty.
