 + 1 moreSee above. The foundation on the storage shed was laid improperly. Workers had to dig holes to lay foundation that wasn't done. This was discovered when the floor sagged in when entering the building. The two windows were installed upside down and windows didn't work so they had to be removed and installed properly. The door didn't close so the door had to be taken off and reshaped to fit the door opening. He agreed to build shelves inside the shed which he did not do. This had to be done by another contractor. The wood gate contracted to be done as part of the total price was not started. I had to pay another contractor to do the wood gate. When he abandoned the job I found nails, little shavings and wood pieces all over flowers and yard. He left it a mess which required a days work to clean up. Lumber and tools thrown down on rose bushes killed flowers. It was a mess.
Description of Work: Contracted to build a storage shed and a fence gate. Mr. Stiltner said the down payment (half) to proceed to complete the job ran out and had to spend on other priorities and he couldn't afford to buy the materials required to complete the work. The storage shed was 80% done and the fence wood gate has not been started. I paid the balance so he could buy materials. He abandoned the job and when contacted said he'd done enough work to justify the money he'd been paid. Very unprofessional attitude and of course he knew once he had the money my only recourse was to sue him and get someone else to finish the job. To complete the job started and abandoned by him, it cost another $1000 due to very poor quality work done on the part he and his workers did complete.
