We noticed our AC was not cooling below 78 degrees and reached out to All Star A/C & Heating Services to set up an appointment. All Star called us 30 minutes before our appointment and promptly showed up at our house to diagnose our AC problem. The technician, Zach, was incredibly professional, polite, and thorough. Zach quickly determined our AC drain line was clogged which in turn affected how the float switch regulated the temperature in the house. Zach took the time to explain to me how the parts worked, how it can happen, and how to self-diagnose the problem if it happens in the future. We will definitely use All Star in the future for regular AC checkups and repairs.

Everyone was great. They were here quickly when my a/c died and could have replaced it the same day if that had worked for me. They were here the next morning and installation was faster than I expected. I'm very happy with the results and the service I received.

Purchased service on Angie's List and call All Star Heating and Air Conditioning to make an appointment, and made appointment for about two weeks later. Got a call from All Star AC about over a week after I made the appointment, saying they are too busy to keep it, and get a refund from Angie's List. I told them I had already took time off work to make the appointment, and had to switch shifts to do so. They basically said "oh well" we are too busy, go get a refund. Not a good way to conduct business.

This was not the first time that we called Ed, even though we do have a home warranty company. The office manager was so responsive and helpful; she did set up an appointment for us for the very next day, which helped us a great deal in this unbearable hot weather. Actually, Ed was fully booked, but he did go out his way to help us by working overtime. More, Ed is so honest, upright, and reliable as he always explains everything clearly before his doing the actual repairs. We can always depend on him and his company. Our experience with All Star was just outstanding!! They really care about their customers and know how to strive continuously to serve them better. Great jobs guys!

We complained to him about the uneven cooling in the house and he looked at it for no additional charge. He found the issue and performed a temporary fix. Gave us a quote for fixing the problem and didn't try to pressure us into getting it done the same day. In fact, he recommended us to check with the A/C contractor who did the original installation to see if they'd do it for free. The guy was very helpful and polite. Highly recommend this service.

Diag problem, tested freon level he said that was all fine. The tech said everything was fine and that my transistor went out and needed to be replaced. He said that the transistor he had was a little too big and had to make some alterations to make sure it fits. He used the box that the transistor was in to install it it.

He replaced fan motor for the Air conditioner.

I called the morning of Sunday, May 30, and repairman/owner came out around 5 pm. He told me immediately after checking the unit that the problem was not major and did not try to charge me for expensive repairs. He was very professional, and I really appreciated that he came on a Sunday. I would most definitely use them again.

Zach, the technician from All Star A/C & Heating Services showed up on time and called ahead to let me know he was coming. He was professional, courteous and did an excellent job explaining the condition of my A/C system. The two most important things any homeowner can do to keep their A/C running smoothly is change their air filters every 3 months and have a professional HVAC technician inspect and tune up their system. I will definitely be contacting All Star A/C & Heating Services for all my future HVAC needs.

Small company that gives back to their community! They were wonderful and price as expected per estimate. They took care of the problems in the allotted space. They spent 20 hours researching to fix problems. The owners were excellent, and came out to make sure all parts were available when needed. They owners compliment each other very well. The techs were very engaging and knew how to deal with the problems, when unsure would consult each other.

It went great. I should have just used All Star this time instead of a competitor who showed up a week ago and told me a bunch of lies regarding my A/C system and furnace. While that competitor was here, All Star called offering a special price for an A/C inspection so I took them up on it to get a second opinion. So glad I did. All Star's technician Zach was just here and he gave my A/C system a clean bill of health. He also showed me how to clean my outside coil to make my system run even more efficiently. Nobody had ever done that before and I had always wondered how to clean it myself. Thank you, All Star !!

I had a problem with my AC and contacted 3 contractors before I decided to go with All Star A/C & Heating Services. They were the only one to actually diagnose my AC system. The first two, looked at it and decided it was too old and needed to be replaced. I admit my AC is an old unit that came with the house that was built in the 90's, but just the act of giving it a thorough assessment won me over. Their price was comparable to the other two. I highly recommend them.

In general it was okay. They checked the AC and they suggested to install the tempers and they did but it's quite expensive. When they came the second time they said they need to install more tempers and the price would be like $1,000 so that kind of scared me and I'm not sure that it's really necessary to have so may tempers. The second thing is that after the installation they said the supervisor will give me a follow up call to make sure that everything is fine but I don't think that I received any calls and nobody came to visit us.

Over the last 6-7 years All Star has repaired my a/c, replaced my furnace, replaced my 2nd a/c and now has repaired my pipe. When we first called htem out, years ago, the two owners were conducting service calls. Today the do call to coordinate but a pretty good size staff and company vehicles. I'm so impressed with how they have grown but have retained the same level of customer service. I recommend them to anyone who have heating and cooling needs. They are maintain a very clean workspace, never leaving a mess behind. They are polite and profession and communicate very clearly and in a manner I can understand. The prices are fair and they have always suggested all alternatives such as repairs or replacement, pros and cons of each and total cost. I have never paid more than was quoted.

Ed is a stand-up guy. There are not a lot of service professionals (particularly in this industry) that I would say I actually trust. He is one. After buying my 20-yr-old house, another A/C company told me that my furnaces were in dire straits: massive cracks, etc. And I had earmarked thousands of dollars to replace them. Several companies gave me bids to replace the furnaces. Ed was the ONLY one to say that they did NOT need to be replaced. In fact he argued with me (cordially) and insisted that they were absolutely fine. At my insistence he performed a pressure test to prove there were no cracks (there weren't any). Three years later, these furnaces are STILL working fine and my carbon monoxide dectectors (which I test) have not gone off once. Many of the components of my three A/Cs have gone out over the past three years, and Ed has (on short notice) repaired or replaced the various components using my manufacturer of choice (american standard). Every time he has sold me only the parts I needed (rather than a whole new system), and his price has been reasonable. So many smooth-talking service providers seem great when they're first hired, only to find out in the middle of a job that the contractor is incompetent/a crook/ does shoddy work and won't stand by it when things fall apart. Ed is the opposite and for me has stood the test of time. I hope that my A/C and furnaces hold up for the rest of the years that we live in this house, but if they don't I know that I'll call Ed.

There were a few times we played phone tag but Tara( forgive me if I got your name wrong it's 1am right now. :))in the office, ED and Chris were great! All questions were asked and all were answered. They did a very nice job with my system and were very honest and upfront about everything. They were very accommodating with my work schedule and quickly started the installation. I hired them on one day and the next day 2 installers came to work. The inspection with Chris happened the following week and Chris decided it was best to come back and make some tweaks to the system. Chris made the arrangement to add some dampners to the system. It seemed to me like they care about the work they do. I did a lot of research on air conditioning systems, prices and I even tried to get a bit more educated about the entire process of installation. Educating myself was a guide about what to look for in an install. The bottom line is this; This is a good business with good people. I had a great experience with them and I'm very happy how my intstall and system looks. In addition, they did not try to sell me services or upgrades I didn't need. Honest and Fair. That's all I really look for in a contractor. Good luck!

Purchased 2 Big Deals for installing UV Germicidal Lights on both my AC systems. The price seemed competitive compared to other big deals on Angies List. The technician who performed the installation was very courteous and professional. He explained how to maintain the UV light and made sure to clean up after the install. There was a slight bit of a scheduling problem initially. On the day of the appointment, the technician wasn't able to make it during the time slot I had requested, but the company called in advance to ask if they could come at a later time. Since I was on vacation at the time anyways, it wasn't a big problem for me to reschedule. The product they had advertised on the Big Deal was an 18" Field Control UV light, but the actual light which they installed was a 16" Sanuvox Saber Magnet 24 Volt. When I asked why the brand was different than the Big Deal the technician said he didn't know, but this brand was what they were currently installing for customers. Since I found out after the lights were already put in, I didn't really have a choice, but I am hoping these are as good or better than the 18" Field Control ones, since it was one of the reasons I had jumped on their Big Deal instead of going with another provider which was offering the 18" Field Control lights for a slightly higher price.

I could smell gas when the heater kicked on, so I called the gas company for a free inspection. They investigated and showed me that gas was leaking out of a fitting on the heater. I called All-Star, and they were able to come out the next day, a Saturday (at no extra charge). Ed inspected the heater and found that it was leaking gas from several places, including the shut-off valve. He recommended that we replace the unit since it was 22 years old. I agreed since I didn't like the idea of putting hundreds of dollars of repair into a failing unit that is causing a safety hazard. I was quoted $2,400 for a 4 Ton Unit, which included all parts and labor. I did some online research and found that this is on the lower end of the national average. Of course, in Houston, we don't need a massive, expensive unit. On Monday morning, I received a call saying the crew was on its way. They arrived and installed the new unit in about 3 hours. After a few days, Ed came by to check the installation. He called before coming over to make sure it was convenient for him to arrive EARLY. I'm not sure I've ever had a service person arrive EARLY. Amazing. In his inspection, he noticed some things that needed to be improved, so they fixed it. I mentioned to Ed that my A/C drip pan was rusted. He said he would replace it at no charge. When he looked at it, he noticed the drain line also needed to be replaced. So, he replaced all of it at no extra charge. The materials aren't that expensive, but it is rare to have a service provider pass up an opportunity to charge us more. Also, I like that All-Star includes a Warranty for their parts and labor. IN SUMMARY: Honest, Punctual, Fair Price, Professional, Friendly, Thorough, and Great Warranty. I will definitely use All-Star for any future Heating and A/C needs.

Brazos Valley Services who had installed my heating unit 10 years ago had said that my heater needed $1500 in repairs and was leaking oil. This was 1 month after the warranty expired. The technician from All Star told me that was ridiculous. My heating unit looked and functioned like brand new (10 years old), that they don't typically wear out in mild weathered Texas and it should last me quite awhile longer. It didn't even use oil, so there was nothing to leak! For a $59 service call, they saved me $1500. I absolutely will be calling them from now on.

Just use this company! All good, their business plan is great. Get your estimates, and then go with this company. Only reason for the 4 rating is the installers did not arrive on time here in Houston Texas. Still, we are very pleased.

We got multiple quotes and everyone else did not take enough time to examine the system they just pushed for us getting a whole new system. Ed not only took the time to do the analysis correctly but showed us what he found, in doing so he showed one of the other companies had been lying to us about what needed replacing, we had not told him what they had said in advance but we told him after and this alone saved hundreds of dollars. He gave us a quote to fix the old one and a quote for a new system; we could not afford a new one at that time and went with the repair. Ed went above and beyond, even making a custom part so it would fit in the outside unit. He also made sure that the new equipment he installed in the attic would work not only with our old Freon unit but that when we did finally upgrade it would be compatible with the newer technology. Not would we recommend them to others and use them again ourselves, but we did two years later :) They gave us an excellent price on the new system install too.

The technician was on time and professional. He was very open about his diagnosis and did not suggest doing any more work than made sense. When the cooling stopped working the next day All Star sent the same person back immediately to correct the issue.

They were very responsive, arrived early for the job and completed it in a short amount of time. They also tried to help us troubleshoot over the phone in case we could fix it ourselves. Very impressed.
