Disappointed with the service that Airtron has provided since we personally contracted then sales person, Richard Mogridge with Airtron to install two AC units in 2010 in our Custom Built home. A few months in our home and our downstairs unit froze over.Airtron came out. We were told by the technician that came out that we may have a leak and we might need to "tear up walls" to find it. This is not something you want to hear when you have just constructed your home. The technician even recommended that we get a home warranty service so that we could possibly get the issue resolved. The tech succeeded in keeping us off their backs, with that comment, just long enough so that the next time we had an issue, the units (now both ac units) were not cooling properly as a result of low Freon levels . The person I spoke with at the office recommended I call Lennox to complain about my issue because I insisted that our units were too new to be having these kinds of problems. When I called Lennox, I discovered that Airtron had not registered our systems after they installed them so we were not under warranty that would force them to take care of the problem. I have since spoken to several AC companies, and as a courtesy, they register your systems for you at installation so that you can have a full 10 years. It's not a huge deal for them because they already have all the info needed. If they weren't going to do it, they could have informed us that it needed to be done. Our builder did not contract them, we did because they were recommended so they should have spoken with us directly about registering our systems. As a first-time new build homeowner you don't always know about these kinds of things. After much going back and forth, it was determined that we had the faulty coils that Lennox was being sued over for malfunction. The head person over at the Airtron agreed to replace the coils in both units in approx 2016 because Lennox was in the process of replacing faulty coils for so many Lennox customers. Just after the installation, we began noticing a foul odor coming out of the vents upstairs and downstairs. I had called on a couple of occasions but the woman answering was so rude that I preferred to look for other companies that might be able to help. Still, I would periodically call to see if the company would show some responsibility and try to remedy our situation. Airtron kept saying it wasn't anything that went wrong with the install, "Sometimes you just get a unit that develops that dirty sock smell and it's just aesthetic, not damaging to the system." So for us TWO UNITS again with the same problem!? I would hardly call that a coincidence. Airtron sent someone out in Feb 2018 and again Feb 2019 for the same exact smell we had been complaining about. In this time we've had to refill our units with Freon because they stop cooling. Sometimes one and other times BOTH. Airtron just came out in February to deodorize the coils to "address" the smell and "search" for a leak.At first the tech couldn't find a leak.After being here for an hour or so and going through the house with the leak detector, he made it make a loud beeping sound to give us the impression that there was a leak near the attic space in an upstairs bedroom.We told him to go ahead and add Freon to the unit and then we followed him to the room where the loud detection noise had come from originally and there was NOTHING.He had nothing to say except he wasn't sure why it wasn't detecting now that we were in there listening with him.THREE WEEKS AGO the downstairs unit stopped cooling.We don't trust Airtron because they just try to buy time and band-aid situations so we called another company to come out and give us an opinion and refill the UNIT(S)AGAIN.Today we needed another refill and now the upstairs unit was low like it was several months ago. The owner/tech of this other company said we needed to have a leak detection test done.We asked him to do one for us. In 5-10 minutes he found one valve leak outside for the upstairs unit which he says has to have happened at installation.The other unit is leaking in the coil in the attic. This is the fastest Freon has ever leaked from the units so the problem is getting worse. I called Dee at Airtron because their tech couldn't find anything that we could witness in February. The leaks didn't magically appear! She said I'd get a call from the service manager and I haven't heard back yet. Some responsibility would be nice. We paid Airtron A LOT of money for terrible units and bad service.When I called Lennox about the possibility of a coil leaking, they told me that even though they were replaced in 2016, the warranty goes back to the original date of unit installation and BECAUSE our units WERE NOT REGISTERED, we were NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. I normally don't post reviews but ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Leaks/Odors throughout 9 years of the units' existence. Unacceptable. Unprofessional. UPDATE 6/19/19: Richard Fulghum, Sales Manager for the Bingle Rd. location out of Dallas replied to a Google Review that I posted. It is the same review I've posted here. UPDATE on my previous review on this site: Mr. Fulghum contacted us about 6 days ago and when he looked for us in the system, he could not locate any calls after 2012. He requested I send him anything I had after 2012 to show I had contacted them. I complied. My husband has attempted to call him back and when we reached his office , my husband left him a voicemail message to make sure he received the information I sent and to see if he had any information in regards to a resolution. My husband called again today 6-19-19 and he was told Mr. Fulghum was not available. Meanwhile, we are sitting in a very HOT home with both AC units in non-working condition and we cannot get him to contact us.

Installers arrived on time. They were professional and courteous. They removed the old AC and installed a new unit. It took 2-3 hrs. They cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell they had been there. I will definitely use them in the future.

Left multiple messages, no call back. I am willing to pay someone to fix them, but I would at least like to know if it is even possible before I pay $75 to have someone come all the way to my house. Seems like they aren't willing to even talk to me if they aren't being paid. Keep in mind, these are the folks who installed my system, so it's not like I'm a random customer on the street. I am moving on to another company.
Description of Work: Called multiple times to talk to a technician about switching out our Carrier Edge thermostats with Z wave compatible controllers.

Description of Work: I had an annual A/C maintenance service done. He told me I had a leak in my evap coil?? I chose not to replace the coil but to have him refill whatever liquid that had leaked out. It worked fine after that. Airtron service technicians are always prompt or early. They are courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, not to mention patient. They were booties over their shoes which makes me happy. They look neat and clean and professional in their uniform. Being in the military, I feel like if you take pride in your appearance, you probably take pride in your work. I have been using AIRTRON since I moved into my brand new house 7 years ago and I have always been happy and would recommend them to any home owner.

Airtone Sterling Air Conditioning responded to my call in a prompt manner. I needed someone to get my air conditioning unit back up and running quickly and they were able to do it. The serviceman who came out identified the problem and let me know what it would cost. The work was done that day and my unit was running. The guy was very polite and I could tell he was very professional and trustworthy. I have not had any problems with my air conditioning since.
Description of Work: They repaired the compressor on my air conditioner.

Air Tron Sterling did a good job for us. They were professional and employ skilled people. They knew what to do when I told them the problem I was having. They wore uniforms and drove a company truck to my house. They were able to get the job done quickly.

They came out after Hurricane Rita to fix my air conditioner. They were timely and professional and overall thy did a great job. They guarantee their products and work, as well as having great prices. Airtron is a good company.

They did excellent work. I signed a contract to have them come out to do yearly service. I used 2 companies before this one and wasn't happy with their work one bit. The system cools like a dream. They replaced the cooling compressor, coils, and blower fan on the unit in no time flat. I highly recommend them to everyone I talk to. They stand by their work.
