Our tech, Kyle, came right on schedule and began work. It had been too long since we had anyone clean the outside units. When he checked the compressor inside, he found we had a part that was probably going to go out soon, We had him replace the part while he was here. He also came up with some ideas to maximize cooling that could be done in the future.

Tavin came during the time window given to me by the company. He called me when he was about 20 minutes away. He was extremely polite and easy to communicate with. Tavin made the repairs and added the hardstart kit to extend the life of our AC unit. Minimum charge for Angies list member to come out on the weekend would have been $149.00, but since we had repair work done, it was put towards the services.

I do feel that the price they charge for a service call to come out and diagnose the problem is very high - $129.00. They do apply the service call to the repair cost, it's not service call + repair cost. It really is a minimum cost to come out, diagnose and give an estimate if you don't use them for the repair. I trust them to diagnose and repair my A/C units properly without trying to sell me something I don't need.

They've been very good. We have a maintenance contract with them, they come every 6 months and replace our filters and check out our system. They're very prompt, timely, and affordable. They only let us know when something is wrong if it's really wrong- they don't try to take advantage of us. We actually found them on Angie's List because they had such good reviews. We've been using them for several years now.

The guy came out and did a very good job. He was very quick and thorough, he was knowledgeable and gave good advice. They were easy to schedule with and the guy called a half hour before showing up to make sure I was home. I will probably use them again next year for another tune up.

They were checked and a complete write up was done. Very professional. Will look at buying new units from them when needed and after comparing their quote to a couple of others.

Ovreall the service call went well. Michael displayed professionalism and patience. It turns out that the motor for the furnace had a bad capacitor. After multiple questions that Michael answered for me, I sided on the side of caution and had Michael change out the part. I question the cost of the part and the total cost of the repair. Michael took the time to explain the benefits of them doing the work. This included a 1 yr warranty. As a person that has to budget our money very closely, it was still difficult to pay an additional $264 for a part that is not that expensive and not very difficult to replace. I am hoping that our investment will keep our 20 year old unit working a little longer.

I wasn't here, it was my wife, but I did some very expensive services from them about two years ago, maybe about a year and a half ago. I put a new air handler in, it was about 6,500 bucks. They put in a new zone system so that I can have the temperature one setting upstairs and one setting downstairs where I can control it both ways. Ours is a perfect temperature both ways. They put in all new ducting up in the attic and a new system upstairs and a new system in the attic. So, they seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about what they were doing. We ask them to come out about twice a year just to change out the filter. I have a whole house filter and they change out the filter, and I don't like climbing up in there. They inspect the system, make sure it's not rusting or leaking or anything like that. If I call them and say it's time to come check my system, they come out, so I guess that's pretty responsive. We're using them ongoing. My wife said they spent a lot of time and checked a lot of things and washed the outside system. She said they did a lot more than what she was used to seeing the people do. They're very thorough.

They have an air condition check up special that they run every year. We used them last year and we used them this year. They read two houses on the property and checked the air conditioner in both units. They showed up on time. They are very professional, polite and when we called them up for a follow up, they were here that same day. They were equally professional, polite and thorough. An air conditioner tune up, if you can get it done for $75.00, that is as good as it gets. They were great. They were right on time. There was 2 people. The first person came out then for the follow up there was a different person. I don't know if they did that on purpose but there was two different people. They went up to the attic but they did not leave a mess on the first floor. They wore those little booties. There are two houses. The first trip, the guy was here for 2 1/2 hours. He spent a long time checking things out. The second trip, the guy was here for about an hour. We got almost 4 hours of technical stuff for $150.

Technician from Air Tech looked it over and said the blower fan motor was not working so he could not take all the readings he needed to diagnose if something else was wrong. He said I needed a new capacitor AND blower motor - Approx $688 and then he could tell me what else if anything needed attention. Seemed expensive and he did not even try to get the motor to work other than flipping the switch on the thermostat. I considered the service call for $129 a "sunk cost" and I declined and called someone else for a second opinion. Another technician came in from a different firm and tested the capacitor - said it was bad and replaced it on the spot. The motor worked fine and tested fine. Total cost for the service call of that technician, including the capacitor was $125. The suggested need for the repair that Air Tech made originally eventually came true.
