Description of Work: My A/C stopped working and I wasn't sure if it was the unit or thermostat that was malfunctioning. My husband bought a new thermostat and installed it. He is pretty handy and the unit turned on after he installed the thermostat, but the air was not cold. It was after 8pm and we were desperate as it is ungodly hot in Houston in July and the house was getting unbearable. I called someone on Angie's list and he was willing to come out for a larger fee as it was after 8pm. He wasn't sure if someone could come that night so I called Air Current A/C and spoke with the owner, Stan. Even though Stan was at dinner he stayed on the phone and walked my husband through wiring the thermostat as he had initially wired it incorrectly. Stan helped my husband do it right and the a/c worked! I was amazed and impressed that Stan was willing to help over the phone and not just come out and charge us for what was a simple fix. We paid absolutely nothing. AIR CURRENT A/C AND HEATING has earned my business for life and I will recommend them to all of my friends. Service like this is unheard of these days!!! THANK YOU,STAN.

Description of Work: I arrived home from work late on a Thursday evening to a hot house. Once I called, he answered the phone promptly and spent some time trying to help me analyze the problem. It was agreed he would arrive at 7am the next morning and he did. He was courtesy, friendly and explained each step of what he was checking out. He found a bad capacitor on blower motor. He took the time to show me why it was bad and how a functioning one looked. After replacing it he also took the time to clean the condenser and charge with freon. Before he left the house was cooling off. It was not a stressful negative experience as is dealing with most contractors. He also took the time to call later on in the day to see if everything was still ok. I would highly recommend this contractor.
