Air Current AC and Heating

The experience was great. I liked how they deal with the issue and they explain it so I can understand it. There is nothing that they need to do better.

Excellent. Stan Villavaso (owner) took the time to see if my coil was still under warranty before he even talked about an estimate. It was still under warranty. The original vendor that sold the air system did not even bother to check the warranty. He was going to charge 3x as much.

It went great. The technician came to troubleshoot the problem. It was very refreshing that he told me exactly what was wrong and quoted me to fix that issue and not try to up sell for what I didn't need. He fixed the a/c and checked all of the other components to make sure they weren't effected. I am extremely happy with the service I received.

The service Technician was prompt. He was very professional and personable. He explained everything thoroughly and in laymans terms for me. He left area clean and orderly the way he found it. My A/C is now purring like a kitten. I would definitely use Air Current again. They did a Great Job!

They were prompt and made an effort to find the leak, which they eventually found in the condenser coil. They called and told me the condenser coil was still under warranty and a new one would be free. They gave me an estimate of $800 for 2 hours of labor and another $950 for draining and replacing the 10 lbs of freon, so after tax about $2,000. What they didn't know is that my brother is a construction program manager who knows how much home repairs should cost and what is involved. After a quick phone call hI learned that labor costs for this are about 3 time more than they should charge. Also, freon can be drained and then put back into the system, So, charging me for replacing the freon they drain is ridiculous. Summary- the employees know their stuff but they will try to overcharge and therefore cannot be trusted. Find another service.

Stan has good pre-service communication. He was punctual. He came with two workers, and all three were friendly and very competent. While much of the HVAC business looks to take advantage of customers' ignorance by suggesting superfluous services and outrageous pricing, Stan is a welcome exception in Houston. He answered all of my questions and remained at my disposal for further questions after the job was done.

They replaced a part that was under warranty and charged for it. When I told the owner about the warrantied part, he sent someone back to the house to check on it that day. He called soon after and said he would issue a check, which I received within the week. I was impressed because he immediately responded to my complaint and fixed it.

Fixed the problem. Replaced the AC Unit fan, condenser, fan motor and switch for the unit. System up and working in 2 hours.Washed the screens for all 3 units. Stan and his helper were very professional, honest and technically seemed to know exactly what to do. Better than most AC guys and companies I have worked with in the past.

Stan and James did an excellent job, quickly identifying and explaining the problems with my AC unit, getting it up and running again, and tuning it up for the summer. I'll be using them again for my next tune up. Punctual and professional. Highly recommend!

Stan and his colleague were very nice. They thoroughly checked the system and found an issue created by the builders original construction. If not for their persistence the issue would have not been found. I have had it checked by others for the last 4 years and the problem was not detected. Also, others tried to sell me repairs that were unnecessary. Stan is honest and can be trusted.

I couldn't be more pleased! I called about a drip that had started 2 days prior and was hoping it would just go away. But, alas, it didn't. Stan arrived during the time that he said that he could be here. Thankfully, it was a small problem that was easily remedied. Stan was very professional, courteous, kept me informed of what he had found. Quickly fixed the problem. I've added Air Current to my phone book in case we have any a/c or heating problems in the future. And will gladly recommend this company to any friend or neighbor that is experiencing a\c or heating problems.

I have been calling Stan for nearly 15 years now. Won't trust anyone else. You don't EVER have to worry that he is overstating a problem or recommending work that doesn't need doing. Stan always takes a conservative approach and will always help you find ways to save some money (like finding a sound reconditioned part for my furnace to avoid the cost of a new part.) One time my downstairs A/C unit broke in the middle of summer while I had a houseful of visiting family members. He could have made up any kind of story to do some expensive repair and I'd never know the difference. Nope. It was a service calls plus a $5 part. Yes, five bucks. Jim is one of his main techs who works with him. Jim always does fantastic work too. When the day comes that either of these units crap out, and I need a replacement, they will be the first people I call.

Stan responded within 10 minutes of call at 8:56am. Tech was at my door at 9:30 am Job was completed at 11:00pm.Who could ask for anything more. Tech. was supper nice listen to my bull and kept working all the while. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. Another, not to be mentioned company said they co have someone out between 11am and 3pm when I called to cancel they started to say it will be after 5pm. That's when I said again I am calling to cancel all I heard was oh and a hang up. Looks like I found a new service company. AIR-CURRENT My A+++ AC service company

I called for assistance at 6pm on a hot summer day, a tech arrived at 6:15, and the work was done by 7:30. He explained what he found, had parts available, replaced the part, performed additional maintenance on the unit, checked the air temperature differential, and offered to touch up a couple other things he noticed. Excellent communication at all stages, fair price, amazing availability and professionalism. I have no need to look elsewhere the next time I need HVAC assistance.

My AC went out on Sunday. I called Air Current AC and Heating. They had a full schedule and said they could come out at 9pm. We decided to sleep with the windows open and fans on. They came this morning- at the time they said they would. They did a thourough inspection/test. In the end, it was a faulty programming of our thermostat. Their equipment indicated additional problems....after more than one hour, the owner came and they discovered faulty test equipment of the technician. They did not bill me for the extra time they spent here and were honest about what happened. I know nothing about AC and could have easily been billed for their time and told of much more serious issues. The honesty of the owner and abilty to fix our problem is priceless to me.

Stan has been servicing my A/C and furnace since 2000. I don't trust anyone else. Never overstates the problem, never misleads a customer in order to run the charges up, and always offers the most conservative approach before recommending more expensive or drastic steps. I call him every year to service my old A/C unit which was installed in the mid 1990's. With Stan's servicing of the unit every year since 2000, the unit runs smoothly still 20 years later.

We can't say enough good things, the technincian, Florencio was courteous, arrived in the time window we agreed to and most importment kept us informed during the time in our home and kept the work areas neat and clean.

We called Air Current Staurday monring about 9. They requested model #, etc. of the unit. They us back to let us know that they would be there between noon and 1. They were there at 1, with the new fan motor in hand. Unfortunately it was the wrong one, they went immediately to get the right one and were back within 1 hour. Installed the new motor and all was working properly. They were unable to get the brand name motor because the dealer was closeed, but they gave us a 1 year warranty parts and labor. They were courteous, professional, reasonably priced; we will definately be using Air Current again.

They came out same day that I called. Very professional. At my bidding, they came back and installed a new programmable thermostat. I loved doing business with this company and can recommend them!
