ACTION POOLS SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

The contractor emptied the pool, and did a poor job of cleaning the pool. There were plenty of stains left on the pool walls. I repeated asked them about this by email and I never received a response. They filled the pool with the garden hose using the house water. When I came by to inspect the pool several days after they started, the pool was overflowing, the front and back yards were completely flooded and water was running down the street. I told them about this and they said they gave some excuse why they forgot to turn the water off. After I paid for the entire job, they sent me another invoice for some plumbing valves that they installed. They said they forgot this on their original estimate. The estimate and contract clearly stated that the price included all plumbing and valve kits. I refused to pay for these valves as they were a part of the price. They continue to send me an invoice for these valves. This is a scam that others should avoid. They never removed the diving board stand despite charging me for it. I had in good faith paid them for the entire job without seeing it, because they were adamant that they get paid quieckly, and it is about a 1-hour drive one-way for me to visit the property. I objected for being charged for work that was not completed and after trying to argue with me about it, they took the charge off of their invoice. Along with asking for a price to clean up the pool, I asked for a quote to do ongoing pool maintanence. The request was made prior to my poor experience with them. I never received a quote, I never hired them to do pool maintanence. Nothwithstanding, they sent me an invoice for the pool maintanence. I refuse to pay this as I did not hire them. They took advantage of the fact that the house was vacant and that they had the lock code to enter the property without my permission and supposedly did some pool maintanence. They aparently did this so they could later charge me for work I never asked them to do.

Originally, Action came before we bought the house to review the pool and assure us that it was well built. The last time they came to fix the filter, we were very happy with their work and we've had no problems since.
