Description of Work: Had intermittent problems w/ clogged drains in 3-story townhome, master bath sinks stopped completely. . Company representatives were very helpful on the phone and arranged a mutually convenient time. Their repair person showed up within the specified time window and was able the fix the problem in about 20 minutes by cutting into the vent pipe in the attic. We haven't had a reoccurrence in the following 6 weeks. Having been a contractor my self (not home repairs) I know the challenges of having the right parts and equipment on hand as well as staffing competent people to respond in a timely manner (without having to pay much for people sitting on the bench between calls). Yes the price could have been better - that's always the case, but their person was able to get to me quickly and fix the problem. Highly recommended and will use again.

Description of Work: We called Abacus around 8:30am on Saturday 8, 2011. The technicians arrived at 1:30pm the same day . They repaired the pipes under our bathroom vanity in a timely manner & there was no mess left at all. The technicians were very courteous & professional.The cost was a little expensive for less than an hour, however plumbing repair is always pricey. I would recommend this company to my friends & family.

Description of Work: I was supposed to be a "gold customer". I was put at the end of the service day and estimated over $200 over what Home Depot quoted. Won't use them again

We contacted this customer and made arrangements to perform the work at a time that was convienient for her. We also performed the work at the price that she was quoted by H.D. which is something that we would not normally do. However we are serious about our 100% satisfaction policy. After completing the work our Operations manager contacted the customer and she stated that she was 100% satisfied with the work, and our performance. She told us that she would get back on Angies list and alter the report to reflect her satisfaction with our company. To date she has not done this, however we are confident that we have delivered the level of service that we pride ourselves on . Alan O'Neill President & CEO.

I think they are way over priced.
Description of Work: We had a gas leak close to our pool equipment and they were going to dig up the line and put new piping down. Their estimate was over $2000.00. I called the guy that did the installation of the pool and he referred me to someone who did the work for $300.00.

Dear Member; Thank you for taking time to leave feedback about a recent visit from Abacus Plumbing. If I may, I would like to respond by saying that I believe we are "not" over priced and that you must compare apples to apples, First our techinician came to your home and evaluated the problem and then gave you a 'Turn Key Price" that included everthing need to completly replace the gas line including permit,inspection and backfilling of the trench. He also gave you a price to "repair" Which might I add was below 1,000 dollars and it to included everything. The question I have is are the people you used liciensed, and would they warranty their work for one year as does Abacus and provide you with 24 hour service at no cost to you to cover your warranty And did they get the gas line inspected? You know that is the law. Secondly, even though we had time and money tied up in evaluating the problem, we never charged a cent. We may not always be within some peoples budget but our work is the best in Houston. You will always find someone to do something "cheaper" then others. Ron Bevins Operations Manager Abacus Plumbing
