Great! The representative arrived within the hour of my initial call. Presented himself in a very professional manner and after we approve him to proceed. The gentleman rolled up his sleeves and got to work with an assistant. Project was all done in about 2 hours. Loved this experience not having to take-off work again to schedule the work to be done. The complete process all done within a few hours.

I called to make the appointment. They were here promptly the next day as I requested. The technician was professional, polite and very helpful. He answers all my questions ( and I had a lot of them) respectfully and in a way I could understand the issues.

I had a very good experience with Abacus Plumbing and Air. Conditioning I contacted Abacus after hours on Saturday and received an appointment the next day. I received a call to inform me the technician was on the way and he arrived on time. The technician (Les) was polite, professional and courteous. Shoe covers were worn when going in and out of my house and Les the technician answers all of my questions, and gave detailed information.. He identified the problem and the repair took approx 1 hour. I would definitely recommend Abacus Plumbing & Air Conditioning to everyone !!!!

The Abacus "technician" told us we needed a new capacitor ($385 charge), a new fan motor ($1,500 charge), probably a new coil and condenser and maybe a new compressor (total estimated charges nearing $9,000). He strongly advised us not to put any more money into this "old" system (it's a 13 year old unit) and to replace it instead at an estimated cost of between $9,000 and $11,000. While he was still there I called a friend of mine who is an AC repairman in a nearby town to ask what he charged for the listed items. He said he replaced capacitors for $135 (not the $385 Abacus quoted). He would replace the fan motor for $385 (not the $1,500 Abacus quoted). He would replace the entire system for $2,500 (not the $9,000-$11,000) estimated by Abacus. I told the Abacus guy to scram. My friend came by this morning and repaired the system by replacing the capacitor, a $135 charge. That is all that was broken. He also said a 13 year old unit is not old and should continue to run for years. Abacus charged us a $50 "service" fee. I've asked for my money back.

It went great. Their technician was very nice, friendly and answered all my questions. As a single mom, I'm still learning about some of the home maintenance items that my ex-husband used to handle. So it's nice to have a company you can trust to check your systems and answer your questions. At the end, everything checked out and they didn't charge me anything. It would have been easy for an unscrupulous company to try and charge me for something on this type of visit. But I can obviously trust Abacus. I have used them for other things as well and have always been pleased. This is a very well run company.

Our technician was on time. He was polite and worked efficiently. He tested his work and cleaned up materials.

The services we required entailed engaging two different technicians (a drain specialist and a faucet specialist). The drain specialist arrived first and resolved the drain issues, replaced the garbage disposal (customer supplied), and replaced all of the kitchen under sink plumbing. Great job but there was a lot of confusion over the pricing, etc. The faucet technician arrived later and tried to fix the problems with our original kitchen faucet; however he was not successful so we installed the replacement faucet (customer supplied) and verified the installs (no leaks). He also provided us with a quote for the repipe project, noted above. The pricing provided was also confusing and seemed excessive since we only required PEX repiping from the attic to the upstairs bathroom. All horizontal repiping with PEX had been previously completed so all we required were the short vertical runs from the attic to the second floor. Again, this technician did a great job, very attentive, and explained the work required, etc. We purchased the garbage disposal (118.00) and the kitchen faucet (139.00) and provided them to the technicians. The garbage disposal was $270.00 to install and the kitchen faucet was $289.00 to install. We were able to use coupons to reduce our repair costs but the total for both jobs was approximately $828.00 plus the parts we provided at approximately $257.00 for a grand total of approximately $1085.00. All work is guaranteed and certified. We have always been pleased with the work completed by Abacus and continue to engage their services but we still think their pricing is very much on the high side.

I love their yearly maintenance. For electrical, plumbing and AC tune up each year (AC twice), you can not beat it the price. Each tech is super helpful and showed and explained everything I needed to know and then some. I would totally recommend them for all your household needs.

Quickly diagnosed problem and repaired it in record time.

We knew the a/c was dying for a couple of years so it was time to be replaced. Abacus gave us a good deal and handled the total installation as painlessly as possible.

When I called about the low water pressure coming from my kitchen faucet, the person answering the phone said the likely culprit was the old faucet. I was told to purchase the new faucet on my own (less expensive) and then call back, which I did. The plumbers were efficient and cleaned up after themselves.

The office personnel and the plumber who made the repairs from Abacus Plumbing, Houston, Texas, were courteous and helpful.

The plumber explained what he was going to repair and was patient when he was providing answers to my questions. I only wish that the repairs did not cost so much for it did not seem that there were many parts to replace.

Gregg assessed plumbing issues in the master bathroom that included a vanity sink that needed re-seating, faucets at the vanity and tub that needed repair, and tub tile that needed re-sealing. He was very thorough with explanations and patient with my questions. He was able to immediately repair the tub faucet and created a project plan for the vanity area. A service partner, All American, was contacted to evaluate and make structural repairs to the vanity before plumbing work could proceed. The service partner responded the same day. I was very impressed with the service co-ordination and have every confidence in Gregg's recommendations. I look forward to project completion.

Very professional and nice service man. Had parts on the truck. Put booties on whenever entering house (LOVE THAT). Was on time with lots of notice.

They were friendly, prices were good, prompt, and professional. They were good and helpful. They gave us suggestions. I cannot say anything bad about them. I would recommend them and use them again.

Water from our clothes washer was backing up in a bathroom sink on the other side of the wall. The technician snaked the drain which contained lint. He was very professional and polite. The area was left clean. We are very happy with the results and we will use Abacus Plumbing again.

Gas company turned off our gas due to a leak on a Friday night. Abacus began work that Sunday,(no extra charge) night and was finished by Monday. This was a dirty job,working in a Texas sized downpour in very cramped spaces. The tech used his ingenuity and ended up saving me over $2000.00 while delivering me a much better situation in terms of future access and ability to monitor the gas flow in the future. I couldn't be happier;the tech waited for the city inspector to arrive and sign off on the repairs, walked through them and made sure the gas company returned quickly to turn the gas back on. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome

Les the technician showed up on time and introduced him self. He was clean cut and dressed in a very professional uniform. I explained to him the situation and what i thought i had done wrong. He explained to me that he could resolve the situation and get it corrected. He diagnosed the problem & made me aware of what caused the short in my A/C unit. I also asked him if he could install my new thermostat while he was there and there was no hesitation. When he was done with everything, he came back and explained to me what he did and even showed me how to use my own thermostat. I would recommend ABACUS to everybody and i wouldn't even think twice.

Technicians were respectful and thorough. All services were done thoroughly and the technicians cleaned up after themselves.

The service was terrible. The guy that installed the faucet did not do a good job installing it so I called them back the next day. They sent the same person who installed it and could not figure out why it did not work properly. This person just said there was nothing he could do about it and did not fix the problem with the new faucet. The company did not offer any solution for the issue I had with the service or the work performed in my kitchen. This company is one of is the worst I have ever dealt with. The cost to install a faucet was $754.00. The hand did not retract back the original one installed by the home builder. My wife and I had to constantly be pushing the handle back down manually. For the price that we paid for the faucet the job is the worst service we have had done in our house.

Technician called 30 minutes out and arrived on time, he had all the tools needed in his bag. We went to the a/c unit and he replaced the electrical contactor because the compressor wasn't coming on. He then checked the Freon, no joy. The fan was running, calling for cool air, compressor was running but no Freon. This type of unit can not be fixed once you develop a Freon leak in the control head.
