Steve did such a good job installing a new toilet in the master bath a few weeks ago,we decided to also install a new one in the guest bath!

it went well. Plumber arrived within stated time frame. Dressed professionally, introduced himself. Assessed problem and discussed options. Gave me a price on decided upon service then went to work. Snaked the drain and within half an hour of his arrival, my shower was draining normally again. Cleaned up everything and tested drain. Gave me email receipt. 90 day guarantee on work. He was knowledgeable and polite. Have used Abacus plumbers in past and will continue to do so.

Our AC turned off around 6:30 on a Thursday. I called Abacus and they were able to get a technician out to our house within an hour. The call center is very well organized and efficient. When Les arrived he started working the wiring in our system, ruling out certain components that could cause the trip. He eventually changed some wires around and was able to prevent the fuse from going out again. He was very nice, professional, and explained what he was doing as he was working on it.

I called for service on my gas water heater Thursday after a nice cold shower. The service call was scheduled for Friday between noon and 3 PM. Rolando arrived close to 2 PM. He was courteous and professional. He offered to take pictures of the problem but I followed him up to the attic so I could see first hand. We discussed the terms - no pressure. I did choose the best heater and best warranty option due to the very hard water in Houston. My old water heater was only 6 years old. Rolando called his office to get the new water heater and a helper. He also scheduled roofers to seal and repair where the vent would be removed and replaced. Once the old heater was removed from the attic, Rolando provided some maintenance tips. I asked about the anode rod, so he unbolted it to show me the calcification. It took both men to get it unbolted and the rod disintegrated from the calcification. Another lesson learned in proper maintenance. I was a few bucks lighter but after a few hours, took a nice hot shower so felt better. My hot water heater is in the attic above my master closet and after hearing many stories of damage incurred from leaking and cracking water heaters, I wanted to make sure I got the best. Although more expensive than anticipated, I felt comfortable with the friendly and helpful staff, appreciated the speed of response, appreciated the maintenance tips and was impressed that they took care to properly seal and repair the roof vent area. I would definitely use Abacus again.

Brett was very friendly and professional. Cost was given before the work was started and the job preformed fast. He also gave me advise and costs of future work I was considering. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Abacus Plumping.

Juan was the technician that came out. He was very punctual, neat, respected my property by wearing paper boots over his work shoes, very thorough and explained at length to me what was needed and would be beneficial long term.

Very well. I am a value-minded individual. However, I was scammed by some 'low-cost' techs that did not address the issue. Abacus is on the pricier side but the work is exceptional. Heath, their plumber was exceptional and cleaned up well after... When it comes to plumbing, don't go with the low cost providers. Had I not done that, I would have had no cieling damage

Was on time and technician (Juan) was friendly and efficient.

The call center/customer services was very professional and friendly. The technician arrived on time and gave me quotes for different warranty plans. He was very friendly and courteous. Although the price was higher than other plumbing companies, the warranty and professionalism made up for the higher cost. The technician brought in carpets and wore booties to prevent any damage to the floor. He was very careful not to damage the walls and etc.. He completed the job on the time. He explained everything to me and answered all my questions.

I need to replace my Rheem gas hot water heater ASAP. I have today to work on a replacement. I called Abacus for a "general" over-the-phone quote and questions about what brands they install. The person who answered the phone was a "call representative" and stated they do not give quotes over the phone but will come out to give a quote. This doesn't help me. My time is limited. I need a general price range and description of the products offered when I call. Not when one of their service people call me back. But, Abacus is the second company I've called from the Angie's List site that offers for their service person to call me back. This is not convenient for me, because I am continuing to call other companies for quotes, and then the call-back service people are beeping-in and interrupting my other calls. It's not efficient and inconvenient for me -- the potential customer. Note: Abacus did call me back in 5 minutes, but I had to end another call to take theirs. And, he only gave very limited information when I asked about warranty for the American Water Heaters they install; 6-10 years. I asked is it 6 years or 10 years. Again, they have to come out and look at what I have. This doesn't help me with my limited time to make this type of purchase.

Initial contact with company was immediate and professional. Because promised follow-up phone call never came, the customer service rep waiver the $49 trip fee and re-scheduled plumber for later that afternoon. Plumber Josh came on time, slipping on booties before entering house. Though he was a young plumber, his professionalism was not lacking. He soon determined the problem was caused by a loose faucet handle. Upon completion of his work I inquired the cost for his time and labor. He responded no payment was necessary because no parts were needed. So I gave him a healthy ‘tip’ for his valuable services. Abacus is now my ‘go to’ plumbing company since they have proven to be honest and reputable.

The electrical work done was completed in a day. The old circuit breaker box was disconnected, the circuitry was re-attached to new circuit breakers in a new panel box and a new electrical line was run underground over 100' to an outdoor yard light. The problem came when the electrician left without finishing the holes he left in the Hardyboard wall he punched through to run wiring. These holes were left rough, large, unfinished and unsealed. It took a month, 3 phone calls and 3 e-mails for them to finally get someone back to properly finish the holes they left in my exterior wall. The last e-mail included a threat to contact the Better Business Bureau if they did not get the work done. That got immediate results. They did send over a 3 party remodel and finish representative who did an excellent job. He finished the job, sealing and patching the holes initially made, and painting the area. It looks great. The point is, it should have been done without me having to badger Abacus and their Complaint Resolution representative for the month that it took. As a result of this experience, I will NEVER contact Abacus for any other services again. Also, I will never recommend them to anyone I know.

The Abacus Technician arrived on time. He was in uniform and put on shoe coverings before entering my home. He fixed the leaking pipe in what I would consider record time. He was knowledgable and explained in detail what needed to be done. He advised me the approximate cost once he was able to ascertain the extent of the leak. I would like to add that from my first call to request an after hours service call on a Saturday to the completion of the work was overall a pleasant experience. I would use Abacus Plumbing again.

Called them to schedule a visit to get a quote. Need 2 old style water heaters changed out to tankless. They wanted $50 just to give me a quote. No thanks

Kitchen faucet was leaking under the cabinet. Technicians came and identified the problem as a broken tube on the nozzle. They advised me to call the Moen manufacturer, as they told me that Moen has a very long and good warrenty. They could have easily just charged me for the part and the repair, but I was very impressed with their honesty. I called and Moen is sending a replacement part at no charge! I will have them come back to install the part. Very impressed!

The company provide excellent communication and phoned me and provide an ETA when the plumber would arrive. When I got home he was waiting for me and he asked, what was my plumbing issues. He carefully listened to what I had to say as we our way into the bathroom. He examined the area, then explained his course action and cost. I agreed and he went right to work. In roughly about an hour he cleared the stoppage, tested the sinks and provided warranty information. The bathroom was left clean and no problems.

Both service technicians were timely, friendly, and professional. They clearly explained the work completed and insured that the work area remained free of debris. I also appreciated how easy it was to schedule the service. I was never placed on hold and the schedule had multiple openings available for convenience.

Very smoothly no mess was created and he made sure the rug was put back.

Excellent Work and Service As a first-time home owner , I'm always leery of calling professional services and being taken advantage of with additional costs and fees. NOT THE CASE WITH ABACUS. My technician was courteous professional and responsive to my concerns. Up-front pricing before work began gave me peace of mind. Basically he explained the costs involved should we go one of two routes; A) remove and re-lay exterior bricks surrounding the leaking pipe or option B) perform cut and soldering without needing to remove exterior bricks. Exterior job took total of 3 hours and the technician was working in the pouring Houston rain! Completely impressed with dedication and skill set. Look forward to building my relationship with Abacus.

Abacus bid $1600 to do the work. It seemed high, so I contacted another company. They did the identical job for $700.

My experience with Abacus has been by far the best experience I have had dealing with the plumbing issue at our house. From scheduling the appointment, all the way to the completed project, I couldn't have asked for better qualified, friendlier service! Brett and John made sure that we knew exactly what the issue was and explained the procedure to both my husband and I thoroughly. The project was completed the very next day and Brett stayed onsite the entire day to make sure everything went smoothly. John sent us pictures throughout the day to show us the progress. I would definitely recommend using Abacus again and I am just sorry we didn't find them sooner!

Steve and his helper and to go in the attic with it extremely hot and work for hours changing out pipes. When water came back on some faucets had no water due to old stuff in the pipes so they had to come back on Saturday and fix the issue with no complaints from them. Had a great attitude we appreciate that. Would definitely use Abacus for more work.
