Looking at past positive reviews, I contacted Abacus to evaluate my water heater because the pilot light kept extinguishing. It was easy to schedule, and he came on time. However, after evaluating the water heater, he said it would need to be replaced for about $1800. Alternatively, he gave me a list of parts that said I would need to purchase them on Amazon on my own for $250 and then he said he would be able to install them for $550 for labor. I did not feel comfortable so I did not want to proceed and he asked for a $49 fee for the visit. I called a different company who was able to fix the water heater for $190 everything included.

Technician was very prompt. He was supposed to arrive between 8:00 am and 11:00 am and arrived at 8:15 am. Eddie was very knowledgeable and explained what needed to be done. He diagnosed the problems, and was able to repair everything. He had all the parts he needed on his truck. The kitchen and bathroom faucets also needed the shut off valves replaced. The house is 30 years old, so that was not a surprise. It was a very positive experience, and I will call Abacus again.

The technicians and contractors were all quite prompt and communicated well. The weather has caused a delay in placing the portion of the concrete driveway that had to be removed.

Leak was discovered by serviceman and repaired. He came back later that night to check that the repair was holding. Excellent customer service.

The service went really well. Josh explained how the flush worked and how a flush would help to preserve the useful life of my water heater. He gave me an estimate, upfront, and reminded me about the online coupon. He was punctual, friendly and efficient with the service he provided. I would definitely use the service again!

The last was for regular bi annual maintenance. as always the tech was friendly and prompt. prior, in June 2016 I had new duct work put in by Abacus. Fantastic job! Done in one day! The project manager was awesome. He worked with me on exactly what i would need and the cost so there was no surprises. The techs were prompt and completed it within the time they promised. Abacus has always been reliable, efficient and honest. From the first time I used them to buy and install a new furnace, I have continued to have the same great and positive experience with every job. I will continue to be a loyal customer and will continue to recommend them to anyone who will listen.

they were punctual and professional with regard to the installation. i don't know if the work was done well or not because they never had an inspector come out to inspect it. i tried multiple times to get them to schedule it and i got the run around. so who knows if it was done correctly. also, i found out later they way over charged me for the work. many of my neighbors and friends said the work should have been have the price i was charged. i am on a fixed income. this expense took over half my savings. i feel i've been taken advantage of. i will never use them again. and i would advise anyone considering using them to think twice. i feel like all they care about is gouging you for money. and the follow up afterwards is nonexistent.

After trying to replace fixtures that I had after multiple trips due to replacement parts from manufacturer, I finally replaced the entire fixture. I was not charged for any of the trips until the repair was actually successfully completed.

From start to finish, the service received by Abacus was exemplary. I contacted them through Angie's List and got a response within minutes. I asked a few questions, and every one of them was answered, quickly, politely and thoroughly. We had an appointment setup within a few hours. Aaron came to our house this morning to fix our plumbing issue. He was knowledgeable and friendly and fixed the problem on the spot. He went through everything very thoroughly and we felt completely comfortable having him do the work then and there. He also gave us a quote for a future job which I am confident we will go with. The price we paid was fair and I have felt looked after all the way. We will certainly be using Abacus again and recommending the company to anyone that will listen.

Work was done timely, efficiently and right. The company kept me informed on when the technician would be at my house and the technician was knowledgeable and had the repair done in no time. Did not try to sell me something I did not need. I would definitely use again if I had an issue.

The service call overall went well. However, the estimate quoted seemed a bit over priced. Additional estimates were obtained and a different service provider was selected to perform the repairs.

I guess everything was okay, except for the price, I thought it was outrageous. I mean it was just an absolutely ridiculous price. Everything else, the work was fine. Highway robbery as far as I was concerned on price. Quality was adequate.

He had a lot of solutions for my problem but was able to go with the least expensive option. My system has been working fine ever since.

They were very good, responsive, showed up on time, but they were horribly expensive. That's why I've never used them again, I can get the same work done for half the price.

Perfectly! I rely on Abacus Plumbing for all of my home's plumbing needs. The technician arrived promptly. Because of the age of the pipes in my home, the repair was a bit trickier than most. Still, the Abacus technician completed the job without problem. When he left, the bathroom was impeccable.

They were able to schedule a technician very quickly, and he showed up on time. He was very professional, very efficient, and clearly explained all the steps he took in resolving the issues. The costs were what we expected as well.

Checked all faucets and drains, inside and outside; drained water heater; did minor toilet seat adjustment on two toilets; checked toilets and tanks for leaks. As always, I was very pleased with the thoroughness of the work. The technician was very polite and professional. I will definitely used them again and am happy to recommend their services.

they did not show up as scheduled. I called later In the evening and we ended up rescheduling and they did not charge me the service fee. I got a quote from 4 different companies and theirs was the highest

Person on telephone told me about maintenance plan which would cover the cost of flushing the water heaters plus we would receive 15% discount. She never informed us that maintenance could not be done on equipment that is not up to current code. I bought the maintenance plan and was told that the tech would be out between 12:00 & 3:00 the next day. Tech didn't show up until after 5:00 so he was 2 hours late! Tech told us that he could not flush water heater because it was not installed per current code. We asked what the cost would be to bring it up to code and he quoted $2500! That is more than what new water heaters would be. We asked for quote for new water heaters and he said between $5000 and $6000! That is more than double what the cost should be. This is a huge scam! Beware if you choose Abacus!
