+ -1 moreJarrod J showed up at 8 am on a Sunday. He worked methodically to try to find the source of the leak. He started in the attic with the AC unit, then he checked out the 2nd floor bathrooms, and then determined the leak had to be in the ceiling. After listening for the leak, he opened the ceiling in the right spot and put on a clamp. I really appreciated his time in teaching me what the repair options were and his patience while I decided what to do.
Description of Work: There was a leak in the ceiling above kitchen that showed up as water pooling under paint in walls.

Within 5 minutes he diagnosed my on-going problems and found new problems, including the filtration had been installed backwards by the original installer (not Abacus).. Apart from his great technical capabilities, Samuel was customer focused and thorough. Technicians like Samuel make it easy to recommend Abacus HVAC.

+ -1 moreShowed up exactly when they said they would and kept us informed during the entire process. Everyone from the digging crew to the supervisors were professional and polite. Always left the work area clean and protected. May seem pricey but well worth it and work is guaranteed. We paid more to have a plumber do a similar but much smaller job at a rent house in Houston. Would definitely use them again.

+ 0 moreThey did a very good job of it. It took them about 3 to 4 hours, which Andrew told me that it would. They finished by labeling the panel, the old one had not been labeled all the way. I was very pleased with the work. They made sure everything worked before they left. This is the second electrical job Abacus has done and I was pleased with all the techs they have sent.

+ -1 moreAbacus told me that I had to replace my system for a minimum of $5000. I paid them $49 for the trip. I called Richmond's Air the next day. They came out and adjusted the float in the pan and re-attached wires that Abacus had disconnected. My system is now running fine and Richmond's didn't charge me at all.
Description of Work: My A/C was not working. I asked Abacus to diagnose the problem.

Description of Work: I think the Driveway Storm Drain is clogged and a pipe may be broken. I explained that to Phone Rep. I only wanted a quote so we can compare prices. Abacus Phone Rep said someone could be there today to provide a free quote. Tech arrived timely as agreed, however he charged $50. for the "free"quote. Certainly it would be a free quote if we paid $1,190.00 for the repair service. I should have been told it would cost $50 to provide a quote, so I could make the decision to say "yes" or "no." to the Service Call. Instead the decision was made for me. Not happy and will not call Abacus again.
