Description of Work: Shower valve was not working properly. This did not allow the adjustment of water flow. As a result, the water flow could not be turned off. The shower valve was replaced. The brass diverter spout was also replaced.

They gave multiple options and explained them all. They also came back to fix a problem that came up when one of the parts had a manufacturing defect. They came the same day on that. Great job.

Don't go with just any company (I have been through 3 or 4 the last few summers with little help and lots of money going out of my pockets). The system we have now is great and with Abacus we have the service to back it up!! Thank you! We did go with the top of the line system (Lennox 20 Seer system with new digital thermostats). Our temperature and humidity readings are finally where we need them!!!

+ 0 moreI had to have my hot water heater replaced. The service man did a great job and made sure the water heater was replaced that day. The air conditioning service man suggested I purchase a special light and an exhaust fan to help mold problems in the attic. I paid for the service and scheduled a date and time for them to return. I took the entire day off and they never showed up. I made several calls to Abacus and they finally told me the service man did not order the parts. I canceled the service and asked for a full refund, which I did receive.

+ -1 moreSince I have been using Abacus for the last 2 years for my yearly AC and Heating checks I have noticed that they are more focused on selling me something that I have not asked for. I will not be using Abacus again. I gave them a high grade for professionalism and the techs have always been very professional but I feel like they misrepresent what actually needs to be done.
Description of Work: Routine A/C maintenance. 2 service techs said I needed to replace my evaporator coil on my 7 year old Carrier 3.5 ton AC. They said it was rusty. My evaporator coil was still under warranty and one of the techs told me that they company who installed it (sold their business) did not register it and I would have to pay for the new evaporator coil plus installation to the tune of $4100. They also quoted me prices for 13 Seer & 16 Seer Lennox system, which was a total of almost $12,000. I called another AC company and got a second opinion. They called Carrier and found out my evaporator coil was still in warranty and came out and replaced it under warranty and replaced coolant for $1500.

+ 1 moreIt was a big, costly job that involved at least two technicians and numerous laborers. Took a little over one week. The refilling of the trenches dug in the yard and repositioning the original grass was done very well. You cannot even tell over a month later the yard was dug up. The cement was replaced where they had to cut through and dig to get to the line and break. It has been a month and everything appears to be working well. Abacus gave us a 10 year warranty that the work would be redone and materials replaced if needed at no cost. Each step and cost of the project was clearly explained by the technicians and was handled professionally.
Description of Work: Repair and replace a broken sewage line underneath the back part of the house all the way to the main city drainage system located in the back yard. Involved cutting through our patio, digging up under our house about 6+ feet, repairing and replacing the broken sewage line joint, digging up the existing sewer line and replacing it with new materials to get the drop that was needed to the main city sewer line.
