Dave has been prepping me for the installation day. He is top notch at what he does. He even fixed and constantly running toilet as he was pasding through the house. Very trustworthy.

Juan was thorough and detailed. Found i had a warranty on my HVAC that noone else caught. He also took the time to educate me on how the system works and said i have too many filters. Top notch.

Fine. Called because of a larger than usual water bill. Tech determined that fawcett was loose and needed to be tightened. Possible leaky toilet caused elevated bill.

Didn't do it. Was quoted $2,100 for the installation of a $400 water heater with 2 hrs of labor. Maybe that is normal but looks like a gouge. According to the national average on this job it should run between $800 to $1,300. Find another company to do the job. I spoke with Aisha for the quote. [*** Link removed ***]

Abacus is a top notch company. I was impressed with the communication before and after their visit to my home. I was sent a text with a picture of the tech to expect and the estimated time of arrival. They gave me a 45 min notification to allow me to leave work to meet them. I very much appreciate this small detail because I want to minimize the amount of work I miss. The tech was professional and very informative regarding options for my air conditioner. I received a full explanation of recommendations in email format and was not pressured to perform any of them. I will use Abacus in the future!

They were very thorough and looked for options that made cosmetic and financial sense.

Called Abacus on Sunday, they said they could have someone out as early as Monday bewteen 8-11am. Due to being a bit behind schedule that morning, an AC technician arrived closer to 12:00/12:30pm. After I had explained the situation, the tech proceeded to tell me that the Wi-fi thermostats we bought at Home Depot were garbage and not reliable. Told him we had bought them last summer and installed them ourselves and they worked just fine. He then tested the wiring, seemed OK. Went outside to look at both AC units and indicated that only one was running (the upstairs unit), which I already knew. He then went into the attic and later came down to tell me the circuit board for our unit was bad and that it was not able to communicate with the outside unit. Said that he didn't even know if they made circuit boards for our older units anymore. He advised me of not dumping any more money into such an older unit and that he could draw up an estimate for replacement units. After he came back in about 5-7 minutes later; he gave me three different quotes on one sheet; all based on the SEER ratings; cheapest being $10,589 (2.5 ton) and $11,237 (3.5 ton) Lennox units. All to include parts, labor and removal of older units. After telling the tech that we had used Abacus in the past for a couple other services; water heater and plumbing, as well as referring them to another family who had their water heater replaced by them, that I had not received anything in the way of any type of discount so far. He managed to bring the total cost for both units down to about $16,500, telling me that his boss could fire him... I said I needed to confer with my husband first who was out of town. So glad I WAITED and got a second opinion! I called another AC/Heating company that was referred to me by a neighbor and he came out the next day and got my thermostat working, checked both units outside, and in the attic! All for $50!! I couldn't believe that I was so close to being taken to the cleaners! We know we are looking to replace our units in the upcoming years, but to have someone come out and feed me mis-information?? I was so disappointed with Abacus's AC/Heating technician. I'm for sure using the company that actually provided me with the correct information for the future, and didn't try to pull the wool over my eyes. Abacus... I was really pleased with your plumbing services, but this last experience left a bad taste in my mouth. -Home owner

The tech was on time, very professional, explained suggested repairs/changes, and patiently answered all questions.

It went very well. It only took them about 30 minutes to complete the job.

They did a good job, it was kind of expensive. I call them up, they schedule a quick return, came the next day, did all the work I asked them to do. Very professional plumbers, the only thing I was not really happy about was how much it cost. It was very good, the plumber was very good to work with, cooperative and personable.

He was prompt, did a thorough inspection and analysis, and we felt informed and fully satisfied. He spoke to us in terms that we could understand and visualize the work done.

Service person was at the house in an hour, and found the problem quickly within 30 minutes. He replaced the relay switch. He was extremely professional!! I was thrilled with the service and price

They had a structured detailed check list to go by. They were on time and communicated well. My disappointment was with the quality of recommendations. We have trouble with drainage plugging from a/c drain attached to downstairs sink drain. I specified that I wanted their recommendation to prevent this plugging, which occurs every 12 months or so. All I got was a verbal recommendation to use a chemical periodically. They sent me product names with prices in email after they were asked to provide. They did not say where or how to buy it or how to use it or offer to treat it themselves (on a paid basis of course). I felt like it was too trivial for them to be bothered. I asked for recommendation/price to replace two sink drains. I said I wanted high quality metal fixtures. They said I would have to buy those from home depot; they do not sell those types of fixtures. They gave me a price using their fixtures of $600 installed for two sinks. I thought it was a bit high. They also gave me a price to install a french drain on one side of the house. The quote was over $5000. I had virtually the same job done the opposite side of the house for $2100 by an established/insured drain contractor. The abacus quote was exhorbitant. Abacus has excellent communications and followup. They called to talk to me. Without me pressing them, they gave me a full refund for the inspection and cancelled the contract and apologized. They said they would have a private discussion with their plumber to ensure that their service is improved in the future.

My plumbing system outside.They had to dig it up and replace the system outside. They showed up on time like they were supposed to. They were pretty professional in evaluating and giving me my options. It could be cheaper.

Professional Tech. Quality work. Pricing was extremely high and unfair. Company is not interested in customer retention. Instead, it appears that they maximize profit on each call. They refused to give a quote over the phone. However, they quoted the price from their hand held devise and could have quoted on the phone.

Abacus sent a technician to my house at 9:00 PM shortly after receiving my call. They were able to complete the work by mid-day the next day. Very prompt, professional service. I will definitely use them again!

Very impressed! The tech was knowledgeable and respectful. The crew was very careful and clean. They were prompt and completed the job in the specified time. At first we were only going to get the air conditioner but we ended up getting a whole new cooling and heating system with new ductwork and insulation. It was a huge investment but we trusted them to do a good job and they did. I highly recommend them.

Great! Our service rep, Iris did an awesome job with several suggestions on other things for keeping pipes cleaned out. Would definitely use her again!!

Went very well. Dan, the technician, worked from 8am-6pm. He was thorough, explained everything and answered all questions; he made sure everything was done right. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgable. Highly recommend ABACUS; will use them again.
