It was very easy to make the appointment. They were very courteous and professional on the phone. The plumber (Mateo) was on time, very courteous and professional. He had the necessary parts on his truck and made the repairs quickly and efficiently. I have a sink that I was told by another plumber would need a $200 repair (was not plumbed correctly), but he did not have the parts so we would have to set another appointment. Long story short, I ended up calling Abacus and after looking at the sink Mateo said it was fine and did not need repair. I was very impressed that he saved me $200 by not making an unnecessary repair, which I had told him I thought we needed. I was impressed by his honesty. I will use Abacus exclusively in the future and highly recommend them.

A month prior, a trainee from Abacus inspected the furnace, When we went to turn it on a month later, it would not start In response to our call, Abacus sent. A master technician who reinstalled 2 boards that installed in the wrong places. It has run fine since then.

Perez got the right thing to fix the problem and he did. Excellent service.

Scheduled 2-3 days in advance and was told someone would be out between 8 and 11 a.m. on Sunday. No calls and no one showed up. I called several times to get updates, person answering phone very pleasant and stated I was on the schedule and someone would call. Never received a call. Called again at 11:30 a.m. and was told there was no way to find out when a plumber would be at the home. Owner had moved out of home and stayed in town specifically to wait for the plumber. Owner could not stay at home any longer and appointment was cancelled. Very disappointed.

Though not necessarily inexpensive, Chris performed excellent service.

Chris T cleaned out our kitchen drain. He was on time, friendly, professional, and tidy. He made sure the company honored the $123 quote they gave when I scheduled the service. (There was a dispute at the point of service, and Chris got it resolved.)

Wow what a great experience. Andres did a very good job. My mom is 83 & very hard of hearing. Andres took the time with her to explain everything. She was right next to him watching him and asking many questions. Thank you Andres! You made her experience positive as well. I am definitely a life long customer of Abacus.

Very very happy I am a member of Abacus. It is worth the money. My mom has been smelling gas but other companies that have come out couldn’t find it. Keith with Abacus arrives and found a bad gas leak checking out furnace. My mom is on continuous oxygen. Glad we didn’t blow up. Thank you Keith. You more than likely saved 3 lives today.

Abacus started and completed its work the very day that I called the company. The work has complex and included drywall removal, bracing pipes with lumber and joining new copper pipes with existing PEX tubes. The plumbers are well equipped and well supported. When my plumber did not have a special tool that was needed, he was able to call his company which provided the required tool within the hour. The plumber was able to start his work and receive the requested tool in time to continue to completion without skipping a beat.

Awesome and cleaned up couldn't even tell he had been there.

Located in the Harvey ravaged area, it is near impossible to find any sort of service provider. However, Abacus not only was able to dispatch someone to fix my problem, they did it cheaper than anyone else quoted me. Going forward I'll call these guys any time I need a plumber!

Abacus has been servicing my hot water heaters since they installed them 10 years ago. Recently they quit functioning properly. Randy, out technician, arrived to diagnose the issues and indicated the gas line and overflow lines were not installed properly. Since Abacus did the work originally, they took care of problems and brought the installation up to code at no charge to me. This was a 12 hr job. In addition they were able to restore the functionality of the heaters. Randy was always professional and enthusiastic, he also made sure that we understood what needed to be done and why.

Chris Temple, Sr.Drainage Tech, installed 2 replacement toilets after discussion of residue blockage due to low drainage elevation profile change. New toilets are an eye-opener (original ex-1993) using minimal water. One toilet had concrete foundation base changed out to enable 4inch pipe between unit and drain (original residue trap) - a job which was a case of going above and beyond the scope of the original job description. Overall very happy with Chris' work ethic and Abacus professionals

Started on Angie's list gave Abacus a call because of their reviews. I scheduled and paid for the technician's visit. The appointment was able to be scheduled for the next morning. The technician arrived promptly and reviewed the HVAC and AC system and asked a few questions. Everything to this point is probably deserving of an excellent rating, yet then the technician proceeded to sell me a new complete AC system because mine is from the 1990s and is outdated, inefficient and could go at anytime. After a long conversation, my hunch was confirmed that to get my current system back online I needed a new blower motor and wheel. Another, long discussion on whether it was feasible to just replace what was broken after that I received the estimate, first for a new complete system, which I had said I was not interested in, then for new HVAC and coils, (again I stated I had no interest in this either) then for the new blower motor and wheel with installation, 1,500. I thanked the technician and then called around and got a quoted that included everything for half his quoted price, though I had to wait a week for the part to be ordered yet that was explained when I contacted the other company so I knew what to expect. The Abacus tech's assessment was spot on though I had to spend an annoying amount of time saying 'no' to the up sale to get it. The technician maintained a pleasant attitude throughout the visit. Where as Abacus was not right for me for my HVAC work. They offer many services and responded quickly so they may be worth calling for an estimate. Good luck.

Great!.........very honest and knowledgeable!.....Pricey, but stand behind their work and never have to worry about them closing up shop overnight if I have problems down the road.

Extremely punctual and responsive. Professional & efficient.... I hired them for their more than reasonable "annual maintenance fee" (2 yearly check-ups and discount on all materials or needed repairs).
