Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical

Great experience. Dan did a very good job, was prompt and professional. He did a thorough inspection and cleaning of my a/c units. He also took the time to educate me on my aging system and discussed potential replacement (when I asked) without a sales pitch. Just wanted me to prepare. My system is 11 years old and still going, but.... I did have to have freon added, which is rapidly becoming extinct as it is no longer made. He took the time to determine where the leak was coming from and, unfortunately, it isn't cost effective to fix with the system so old. Will need to start planning for a replacement HVAC system, and will definitely consider Abacus when the time comes.

They didn’t respond to us! In other words, they didn’t call us at all!

Great although more than I expected to pay.

My HVAC went out two weeks ago. The Abacus tech came out and said I needed to replace the whole system. It was in the heat of August so I did not get a second opinion. My existing was electric air and heat. I told the tech I was moving in 4 months and did not want the most expensive system. He convinced me to go with a gas furnace instead of electric. I was very hesitant, but he assured me that was wall I could afford. The install price was $11,242.00. It just went down hill from there. Since they were converting to gas they would need to cut into my existing gas line to my water heater and also put an exhaust through my roof. The tech left the crew here to install the system. They finished late that night. When I went in the attic to check it out they had disconnected my dryer vent and used that opening to connect the heater vent. They just left my dryer vent hanging and venting in the attic. Later that night when I took my bath I did not have any hot water. I called and complained that I did not have hot water and could not use my dryer. They sent out a plumber the next day. He said he would have to remove all the gas piping the crew had installed. He said it did not meet code and hadn't even been tested. That is very scary. It took him all day. A week after that they sent out a roofer to install a dryer vent in my ceiling. Since the HVAC tech was not here when they installed the unit the crew said they would need to sent another tech out to do a quality check and show me how to use the system. That never happened. Two weeks later they called wanted there payment. I told them I would give it to the tech that comes out for my quality inspection. Someone will be here in two days. On top of all that, the new system is so very loud. What a mess.

Called to report our AC had died .. of course it was an extremely hot day. The service center was very responsive and guaranteed a fix by late afternoon. Very professional group... and fair prices.

Excellent service !!!! David explained that both a/c units were in excellent condition The upstairs outside unit was 2 lbs low on Freon and he replaced it at no charge after seeing Abacus had replaced both coils 2 years ago and warranty was still in place. David was very professional and would gladly have him back on my next service call !! Thank you Dave Wallis

Excellent - I received a text mail from Abacus with a picture of the service rep and the estimated arrival time. Hunter arrived on time - diagnosed the problem and cleared both drain lines. When doing the work he had to take everything out from under the bathroom sink. Before he left he put everything back as he found it. I was very pleased.

They did a really good job, they were fabulous and friendly, but they were very late. I will definitely use them again.

I've got a call from Abacus at the start of the service appointment window to confirm when the Mateo, the technician would arrive. He arrive precisely at time, quickly checked the gas lines, fixed a small issue without charging me and removed a spring loaded valve of an unused gas line to the backyard while kindly explaining me everything and answer to the questions I had, I couldn't be more satisfied with the service!

Not good at all,had come out earlier in year to repair same leak but because the previous paperwork didn't say that they wanted to charge me almost 200.00 dollars again

Chris is the most competent and engaging plumbing professional I have ever dealt with on my 30+ years of home ownership. He diagnosed our drain problem quickly and fixed it on the spot. He explained what he was doing, answered our questions, and made recommendations to prevent future drain problems. Can’t ask for anything more than that. I highly recommend Chris.

Very well. The workers were thorough and looked after a number of issues that existed due to the age of the house.

I came home after works to find some small spots on the guest bedroom carpet only to look up and see water damage to the sheetrock above it. I know what is above that location and knew what had happened. I pumped the water out of the overflow pan, reset the relay in the pan so the A/C would come back on, and called Abacus, They had Luis Cardenas there within an hour or so, we got up and attic to assess the situation, and Luis came up with a very fair estimate which included the overtime surcharge. I released Luis to fix the problem and he proceeded to take care of everything including blowing out the lines and replacing a portion of the overflow pan drain line. Although it was past midnight, he worked quick, was very professional and friendly (made friends with my Husky too) and we went outside to see the "stuff" that came out of the overflow pan and coil drain lines. I've seen this before and as in the past, it was some nasty stuff. So thanks to Abacus and Luis, my Husky and I slept in a nice cool house for a few hours before I headed into work. My home will be nice and cool over the upcoming HOT weekend.
