Home inspection, Foundation Repair, Mold Testing & Remediation
About us
We conduct each inspection as if it were our own home. We feel it is very important to inform each client of the important things to look for during an inspection so we can protect their investment, but not get caught up on the little things that can be fixed with a small amount of money.

Chad gave a glowing report when they were clearly glaring faults. He totally missed major foundation problems that we sadly discovered after the option period. He did not even inspect the front door that did not close properly. Extremely sloppy work. Would not recommend. When we contacted him regarding the mistakes in his report, he deflected and blamed and basically said not his problem.

Chad showed up on time and was easy to set up an appointment with. He came and inspected a home built in 1998, about 2400 sq ft for 2 hours. Having a home inspection done before with another company, his report was bare and lacked detail information. The 15 year old home had original roof, HVAC, and water heater. We know we overpaid for the home once finding out all the big ticket items were original. However Chad's report did not provide us with any information we can work with to negotiate with the sellers. He either passed off the responsibility to other specialists (hvac/roofer) or said items were in good working condition. What really undermined his integrity was the following: It is common knowledge that a water heater 15 years old is at the end of its life. We even especially inquired about the water heater system and all he said and put in the report was it is in good working condition with no evidence of rust. We found it a bit odd that a 15 year old water heater is in perfect working condition so decided to hire a plumber to come look at it despite his report. The plumber came, took pictures and showed us exactly where the rusting is and said if we buy this house, we can come home to a flood at any time. This is the exact opposite of what Chad had mentioned in the report. If Chad can't figure out a water heater is rusting and at the end of its life, how can we trust the rest of his report regarding foundation, electrical, or plumbing? Long story short, we ended up not buying the home (after much time, money, and effort) due to the inability to reach a happy medium with the price. The one good thing about A Total Inspection is the price. $350 for an inspection is below average, but you get what you paid for.

Chad was very professional. He arrived at the house early to perform the inspection. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the inspection that day. He worked around that and delivered a very thorough report on the house. The house itself was in excellent condition. The report contained pictures the detailed the issues that he had. I was able to send to the Seller and ask for repairs. Chad also made himself available for any questions that I may have had.
Description of Work: I was in the process of purchasing a house. My realtor recommended Chad Ware from A Total Inspection for the Inspection. Chad came out and performed a Home, Pool, Sprinkler inspection. He also arranged to have a WDI inspection performed as well.
