Description of Work: We had one shingle that wind had blown up. They fixed it but less than 6 months the same shingle popped up. They stated if we had any problems within a year they will come out and take care of the problem. I have called 4 times and have not had a response.

Description of Work: After the hurricane in 2009 we had extensive damage to our roof. We had A Better Roof, LLC do our roof replacement. Our roof had originally be done about 5 years earlier due to age. It was a no brainer to choose A Better Roof for our second time around for our roof replacement.

+ -1 moreIt the beginning it seemed to be a good working relationship. But after they "finished the job." We had many complaints about the workmanship. Larger gaps in between some shingles, many shingles not laying properly, ripple effect overall pointed to very poor workmanship. When I advised them that I was not happy with the work done and wanted them to fix the gaps and the improperly laying of the shingles as well as the "ripple effect" prior to my final payment, I felt physically intimidated by the owner that walked over and face to face and basically said that the job was finished, now pay up! I have never been treated that way by any reputable company.
Description of Work: Roof replacement. Did not replace any substructure despite their insistence after they replaced the roofing shingles that the shingles were not laying properly due to substructure defaults. When we initially gave them the green light to proceed, we advised them that the insurance agent would be willing to re-evaluate the claim based on any of their input, if additional repairs and/or replacements needed. They even advised that the shinlges would lay down better after the summer heat would beat down on the shigles for a month or two. Well it has been a year and the shingles still do not lay properly. Gaps in between shingle due to poor workmanship.
