Eduardo and his crew were very polite and packaged our furniture carefully. They moved all our large furniture to the new house within 4 hours. I was impressed with their efficiency and would recommend to others.

+ -1 moreNot well at all on the first trip around. I wasn't paying for the service, my caseworker from Endeavor did pay them and I payed a portion of the money too. From my card ending in 8398 Master Card. I took some pictures of my home and things, but now they are gone, someone knows how to hack phones. I took the pictures to keep for to report theft, but when I went to send them to your company they were not there. And I am telling the honest God truth. I promise I truly am.
Description of Work: I needed my luggage returned to me with all my dresses brand new I am still paying for. From some exspensive clothing stores and my old church dresses very nice clothing I had already bought. They took over $1500 dollars worth of church clothing's. From Monroe's, From Midnight Velvet, Especially Your,, Astro, and Montgomery Wards. And if you need to contact them for references. I can tell you the color of the dresses, suits and even 2 Caftans. I want my dresses and church suits back. I know what I had when they picked me up from 5938 Southmont. Since we were too late the coucassion boy said. Well, Ms. Johnson since we were late we can take everything with us and drop you off and we can meet you tomorrow morning at 9:00 am. So, not thinking because I panicked not really knowing exactly what to do, I agreed. I didn't at the time that it really wasn't a good thing to do . I did not want to go back to the house on Southmont, because of the stealing my neighbors had done to me. When the youngman had come back on yesterday I asked about my luggage with my clothes in it and his darn answer was, you told us not to take that one, you said leave it here. I replied to him, how did you come up with that crazy answer? I was in the darn truck. I also remembered that I helped him put the luggages to the truck. But he and that boy is so street smart until they got over on me. I kept telling him to stop holding that door to the elevator because I had left my purse on the boxes he Evan went through that, because my stuff in my purse was moved around, I know how I organized my purse too. Someone is going to either pay me for my missing luggage with my clothes in it soon or I will get my lawyer and sue you guys. And I mean that, because I have invoices for my clothings and get my money for the entire bills. I am not paying for someone else to enjoy looking good on my exspense. I am very sure that A1 Movers are not professional. My luggages were hiding my portable air conditioner, because the night or two before the came there were some theives trying to get in my house with a dolly. And that young boy stole my $20.00 dollars from my pocket I was going to tip them with. Everything went wrong because they were extra late. Which is why I missed the closing hour for the storage. They dropped me off at the Palace Inn on Southwest Freeway, two weeks before this trip. All I had was boxes because I had given away my furniture, every bit so it wouldn't cost me so much this trip was more because they had to go to the hotel, storage and then my apartment. I understood that, but my clothes I am very upset about them. I had some very nice church out fits.

+ 0 moreThe service provided by A-1 Professional Movers was beyond perfect from the first inquiry call to the owner, Buddy Morgan, to the final delivery. I needed to move several items from a deceased family member’s home to my home, including three very large glass display cabinets that held a significant amount of sentimental value to me. The communication with Mr. Morgan was the highest quality. He was quick to respond, helpful with his answers, and clear on the services and cost. The crew was outstanding and treated my things with the utmost care. They were extremely professional, but also friendly. They carefully wrapped all my items, delivered them without any issues, and left my home free of any packing debris. I will use them for all future moving needs.

+ -1 moreExcellent work. Eddie brought a 2 men crew with him and all three of them took extreme care with our furniture and household goods packed into heavy boxes. Yes, we were worried because boxes were HEAVY. Buddy Morgan was very TEXAS friendly when I called to schedule an appointment. Loved the way everything went so smooth. Generally, I find something negative with almost all professional services, but I am glad to say these guys are on my recommended list.

They arrived early to the move, they completed the task in record time. shorted than I had even expected and they were gentle with every item and was organized with how it was moved and how it was stored. I am so happy with this move.

We had two medium sized, wood dinning room tables and took one and brought to to the second location and then brought the table at the second location back to the first location. The tables were in excellent shape, no scratches or marks on them at all. When the move was finished, none of our items were scratched or dented, no damage to the tables or walls. The men wrapped each item and was very careful with everything they picked up. Professional and caring young men.

+ -1 moreI started with Angie's list and asked movers to contact me. A-1 called and I explained I had a large home and I need a quote to move all my belongings to San Antonio. Buddy Morgan said they would need to come out and look at my stuff. A-1 sent Edwardo out to see my stuff. Then Buddy called and said I would need 2 trucks and he gave a price. I thought my stuff would fit into 2 moving Van's and the price was fair so I hired them. When the movers showed up the trucks were large box trucks-- not nearly as big as moving vans. I asked what if my belongings do not fit into two trucks, and I was told we would wait and see. When the 2 trucks were full they said an additional truck would be $2400. After the third truck I still have about a trucks worth of stuff that is not moved. I originally asked for a quote to move all my belongings. I feel that because they came out and looked through my house before they gave me the estimate, this is a classic example of bait and switch. I needed to get moved or I would have canceled when I saw the size of the trucks. I am very disappointed to still not be moved.

+ -1 moreIWe moved our 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom house. It took them 4 hours to unload the apartment which I found was excessive. I have moved every year for the last 4 years with only a two man crew and it has never taken that long. In this case we hired a 3 man crew but it was really as if we had hired a 2 man or 2.5 man crew, simply because one of the men sent was much older and simply couldn’t handle carrying to the same extent as the other two. For example, this person would go up in the elevator to only pick up two items and then go down to the ground floor. He lacked using tools that would have helped him carry more at once. The other two men were much more active and willing to take with them as much as possible. Another thing that didn’t seem right is that I was charged for the materials used after they were done. I have never been charged for materials at any of my moves since that is usually included in the hourly wage. Not only did they take 6 hours to complete the job, they were expecting me to pay for the materials which had never been mentioned in my previous conversations with the owner or crew. Overall, it was a tense and sour sweet experience.

+ -1 moreEd is a nice guy! Originally, I was scheduled for moving services on 10/24. However, I found out that the City of Houston requires businesses to be operational before issuing permits. This meant that I had to move my things to do the new place ASAP. I called Ed and he was very nice and allowed me to change my move date to the very next day! I could not believe that he did this and did not charge me anything extra. Also, he offered to place plastic around some of my furniture because he didnt want anything to get scratched. I don't this most delivery places would do this, unless you asked or paid more. Overall, I am 100% satisfied.
