Fraudulent movers who steal from Active Duty Military Service members and then try to deny everything. David Donnes, the lead agent who moved me, was such a genius that he stole items from my move and kept the airtag at his house. See you in court, idiot! This whole company is fully of shady criminals and should not be trusted.

It didn't go that well, they were disorganized. And we will not be using them in the future.

I spent about $8000. They had a good salesman who explained everything to me and the staff was responsive to my needs, calls and questions. They were really nice people.

We like A-1 Freeman Moving Group. We've used them twice now. There's never any hidden costs. They're very trustworthy.

Considering a move of that distance, everything went quite well. Packers arrived as scheduled. Some items seem a bit over-packed, but I've not found anything broken, so I will take the over pack any day. As for the move, it was quite uneventful, which is a very good thing in my book. I got several quotes, A-1 Freeman was not the lowest, nor the highest. The quote was exactly what I paid. Everyone that had a part in my move was easy to work with and always available to answer my questions. The driver was excellent in keeping me informed about where he was and his estimated time of arrival. I required a shuttle to unload, and have no complaints there. I would highly recommend and would use this company again.

I chose A-1 Freeman because of the favorable reviews on Angie's List. I had a bad experience with a competitor from a previous move from Illinois where my furniture had been moved onto 4 different trucks before reaching its destination. There was extensive damage, and fortunately, I was compensated. I wanted to avoid a reoccuring situation and explained my concerns to A-1 Freeman. They reassured me that my household goods would be loaded onto and delivered by one truck, a large semi. Hearing this, I signed a contract and arranged for packing on Tuesday, April 23 and loading on Wednesday, April 24. The packers arrived Tuesday at 8 a.m., punctual, courteous, and efficient. However, I felt they went a little overboard with their materials. For example, a 3and quot; glass candle holder was packed almost to the size of a football? But, I was pleased because nothing was broken. That afternoon, I called the coordinator to double-check the load schedule and she reassured me that the truck would be there in the morning between 8 and 10 a.m. After 10:30 a.m., I called to tell her there was no truck nor had I heard from the driver. After 2 p.m., I received a call from Mr. John Cormier (a manager?), explaining to me that the truck was not coming, that the driver who was coming from Ontario would not even be in Houston for another 3 days! When I heard this news, I was stunned because I was reassured that everything was fine but wasn't, and believed I had been lied to. My schedule was now a mess because I was leaving too and had reservations booked for the next 3 days. Mr. Cormier apologized repeatly, and since the move had been prepaid in full, he reassured me that I would be compensated for the inconvenience. He gave me two options...to wait until Saturday or send a small loading truck in the morning to hold my furniture until the driver arrived in Houston....the one major thing I did not want. Unfortunately, I had no choice. The movers arrived punctually at 8 a.m. the next morning, loaded in 4.5 hours and I left for Ontario. The driver called me before he reached the border, saying that he could not clear my goods at the border. He had to go inland to a bonded warehouse and I had to take my paperwork to an airport customs office 60 miles away, then drive back to unload. I was very upset that I was not informed about this inconvenience earlier. The coordinator had sent me a packet containing cross-border information but nothing was mentioned about the clearing of the load. Again, lack of communication. When the truck finally arrived to unload my furniture, some of the furnishings wrapped in blankets had transport rub (where the finish had been rubbed off while the truck was in transit). There were also additional nicks and scratches in the wood, and I watched the driver repair them by applying a touch-up pen, then spitting in the palm of his hand and rubbing the stain into the finish. Ugh!!! How disgusting and unprofessional! After I was settled, I sent three e-mails to Mr. Cormier, asking him to call me to discuss compensation but I have received no response. In my last e-mail, I cc'd the coordinator also and mentioned that I would post my experience on Angie's List if I didn't hear from him. Quoting an e-mail sent to his moving contact in Toronto, and quot;Our agency will load the HHGs tomorrow morning.We should find a way to provide compensation for shipment,Something to remain in good faith.and quot; Apparently what they say and do are two different things. So much for customer service, especially once they get your money! Looks like Mr. Cormier lied to me too. I give this company a D rating, and would not recommend them, especially for an international move!

They were very good! They were very responsive before the move to let us know what we needed to do, and they supplied us with boxes to pack. They answered our phone calls and questions very quickly as well. The move went very well and nothing was damaged or lost. The unloaders were all very professional and everyone did a good job!

We used this company again for some moving and storage and the second experience was as great as the first. They are professional and organized. The movers were friendly, efficient and helpful. We will certainly use them again for any moving or storage needs.

This group was amazing. The brought boxes a few weeks in advance with labels so we could start packing. Every single thing they were supposed to do they did with flying colors. The crew was friendly and helpful the whole time. It was a big job and took two days in the heat. They did it with smiles. They checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy. They were not only on time, but early. They took every precaution to protect my equiptment, staff and the buildings we were moving in and out of. They had every detail down to a science. They were a joy to work with!

They were so professional and brought all the packing that we needed. Always available when we needed to talk to them. They were very friendly they made it a very easy move for us. From the receptionist, to the guy that did the quote, and the guys that moved everything they were all very good.

The house we built was not ready on time. In fact it was not for seven months after we moved out of our old house. During this time period, North American was supportive and understanding of our situation. They stored our belongings for almost seven months before, we finally moved in. This was not planned, so we were very impressed with their professionalism, and treatment.
