3 Day Blinds Houston

Buyer Beware of 3 Day Blinds and their Design Consultant Yari Lusk (Houston, Texas). She is very manipulative and deceptive in her sales practices. DO NOT SIGN anything until you receive a final contract. My consultation was on June 1, 2024 for Faux wood blinds and motorized blinds for the living room windows. It has been a month (July 1, 2024) and I am still waiting on delivery and installation. What makes this more frustrating is the design consultant is not responding to text, emails or voice calls. All my follow-up have been with Customer Service.

I am a very disappointed customer. They didn’t measure the shade correctly so they had to install the valance in two pieces with a connector in the middle that is sticking out and not nicely joined. It looks extremely bad. I called to let them know the shade is fine but they need to fix or replace the valance and they’re trying to charge me $800 to replace the valance. I will never buy from them again.

When they show up to install the blinds they said 1 of the box is missing because they change installer (too busy) so they have only 11 out of 18 blinds. The go ahead install 10 blinds and leave the arch blinds to install with the missing blind below so it can matchup. Otherwise everything went well and they install in around 2 hours.

It went smoothly. I had a wonderful experience with my consultant and the installation team. They were knowledgeable, polite and punctual. I highly recommend 3 day blinds!

My wife did a lot of searching and decided these look good. We bought quite a few blinds from them, and there was one blind that had to be sent back to be resized, because when it came, it was not the right size. Once we returned it to them for correction, the wait was too long. I had to call them twice. They got them to us after that phone call.

We worked with them a year and a half ago. From the time we ordered to the time of installation was done the sale person had changed. It was quite expensive but I don't know of many other companies that do that.

It went just fine. They did a fine job. When you order blinds, you always have a right hand or a left hand pull. They made it all in one direction. They didn't change the direction based upon where the window was and that was a little botheresome to me.

It started out well but went downhill as the project progressed. The roman shade in the bathroom was very poorly made and looked awful after being installed. As it was sewn with pleats permanently for install ,the only option was to request a replacement. Also, five other roman shades were ordered and installed as "inside window shades" that came with cords behind the shades. Which meant it was almost impossible to operate the shades. We advised the "expert" Design Consultant that her job was to advise us of options ahead of time to avoid this, but it was not done. Complaints and requests for replacement and help were met with terrible customer service. The customer rep (at California headquarters) was not friendly, was dismissive and plain rude. When we asked him to get our design consultant back out to our home to view the shade problems and our complaints, he first wanted to know what else we planned to purchase! In short, we then spent the next two plus months complaining and arguing with 3 Day Blinds Customer Support to try to resolve quality issues. Finally after many difficult phone calls with the Customer Rep (who never returned calls quickly) we received a replacement shade for the poorly made shaded. Then we were offered, for a price, to redo the cords on the roman shades to make them workable. After consideration we agreed. One day after the five roman shades were removed from our home to be sent back to the factory for cord change out, the Customer Rep sent us a email stating "unfortunately" the cost had been quadrupled! After further discussion and fruitless complaints we said no and insisted they put them back as is. In summary, we had quality problems, terrible customer service and a design consultant that once we ordered pretty much abandoned us. Be aware that once you purchase from 3 Day Blinds, your only recourse is with their California office and a customer rep you deal with by phone. The local consultants have almost no authority concerning your order. I will say though that the locally contracted installers were professional and did nice work. If only the 3 Day Blinds Company was anywhere near as good. 3 Day Blinds claim of high client satisfaction did not work for us.

Two of the bedroom blinds were too narrow and they replaced them promptly being that they were custom blinds and had to be manufactured again. They recently installed them and they fit perfectly and look exactly like the samples. I would recommend them!

They had a sale going on: Buy one at full price; get one at half-price. I'm very happy with the work, and so glad they had representatives in the area to help me get new blinds put in the house. It was my last project for a while, and they did a great job. I had a quote from another company, who ended up giving me a much higher price, so I went with 3 Day Blinds and I couldn't be happier. I love my honeycomb blinds, and I would recommended them to anyone. I did in fact just recommend them to my sister - she should be getting some in her house soon.

They are timely. The installers did very nice work and I would use them again in a heartbeat. They were also fair in their pricing.

It was a great experience. They were reasonably priced. They got the work done within about 4 days. It was the best experience I have had since moving into my home.

All of that service was fine. We did have a little trouble with the scheduling. When we pointed it out to the company, the sales rep came out himself to install the windows before the party, as promised. I live in a Houston home so fitting the blinds was bit of a challenge.

The sales employee was very knowledgeable. We did have a problem with the initial order, but they took care of that pretty quickly. I did have to call the main office, since the our sales employee I was not able to get a hold of, but the company was good with their follow up. The installer was very good too.

There were some loose parts from the manufacturer that needed to be replaced. We had a sales lady that we went through as well as the installer, but since then both of them moved on from the company – so it was more of a headache than I had wanted. From the time the blinds were installed to the time they replaced the part we were happy with the final installation. We were happy with the price.

I had Hunter Douglas Duettes originally installed throughout my home 15 years ago. I am now having problems with the cords breaking and looking very dirty. Hunter Douglas did send some instructions/materials to restring the cords but they did not make sense to me. The other problem is that small, flying insects have gotten inside the honeycomb and when they are raised/lowered, the bugs are squished inside and leave stains that I cannot clean. This was especially true in the kitchen where I had off-white, oversized kitchen blinds.I did not want a honeycomb blind again and wanted sturdier cords. I contacted 3 Day Blinds online and a rep called me the next business day. Kyle Gilbert spoke with me over the phone to discuss my needs and set up an in-home appointment. She arrived on time a few days later with samples for me to choose from. She was extremely friendly and helpful, with many ideas and options for me to choose. She was very receptive to my wishes and made me feel very sure and confident of my decisions, as I have a tendency to doubt my decorating abilities. I choose Roman Style blinds for their design and cords. The style I choose had a wavy pattern that complimented the movement of the lake we live on. Kyle also did the measuring. The blinds were ordered and arrived at my home a short time later. The company they use to install the blinds worked with my schedule to arrange a time for installation. The reservationist and installer were professional and friendly. The blinds were even better than I hoped for. I had a slight problem with one of the blinds not rolling up straight. I emailed Kyle and she was on top of it. The next day the installers called and arranged a time to remove the blind. Again, they were prompt and professional and worked around my schedule. The blind was sent off for repair and arrived a week later. Arrangements were made for the new installation and I am incredibly happy with the way my kitchen blinds work and look. I spent $2,056 on 4 oversized windows, a window over a sink, and a French door. This price included a discount. This was higher than the other company quotes but it was well worth it because I was much more confident with a professional's measurements and design suggestions. I definitely would use their services in the future.

They have a smaller selection than another company I worked with but you get what you pay for. I initially made an order and they told me it would take about two weeks. On the third week, I gave them a call and emailed the person five or six times but didn’t get a response. I called the call center and they said they didn’t have an order for me so I talked to the regional manager. The person I ordered from was let go about a week after I placed the order and didn’t follow through on my order so I was left hanging. They offered me a $100 discount off of a job that would cost around $4500 which I found insulting. If you want aluminum blinds, they’ll cut them and they have a wide assortment of colors but then you are stuck with aluminum blinds. To get special-ordered blinds it takes a couple weeks. You go look online and then a person will contact you and they send someone out. They measure on the spot to give you a rough estimate and if you make an order, they’ll do a hard measurement to make sure you have the right sizes. They gave me an estimate, I placed an order, and they gave me a timeline of about two weeks.

It was fine, there were no problems. It was a very good experience. They cleaned up after they were done and left everything how they found it.
