STEAM WIZARD

The carpets came out very clean but the stains came back up after about a couple of weeks. However, The provider did explain to me that the stains would probably come back up because they are deep in the padding. The provider was very professional and explained everything he was going to do. The amount I paid was very steep though, that's the only bad thing about this carpet cleaning provider.

Overall, the experience went really well. We cancelled an appointment with a corporate carpet cleaning company because Steam Wizard was able to come out to our house earlier in the day and was not near as expensive as the other company. We were looking to get the entire house which is 90% carpet, steam cleaned. I spoke with Mark who scheduled my appointment. He had to call me back to find out an exact time on when he'd come out with his co-worker and stated he'd be at my house at 12:00. They showed up around 12:15, hooked up their equipment to our water line were done in about 2 hours (I had 4 rooms, 2 hallways, 2 living areas and stairs). The price can't be beat even though they hooked up to my water line (I'm pretty sure I've had other companies come out with water tanks in their vans?). During the cleaning of my house, I moved to another room and one of the workers came to the room I was in, apologized for using my cell phone charger because his cell phone was dying and unplugged his phone. They also don't have any booties to put over your shoes and I'm sure not going to walk around my house barefoot. The one solution they did have for this was for us to wipe our shoes clean on a wet part of the carpet at the entrance and they just went back over it to reclean it. I did think using my cell phone charger was slightly unprofessional but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. So I guess that would depend from person to person. I came back to update that even though they didn't have booties for our shoes, I found that they did place clear plastic squared sheets underneath wood furniture feet.

We thought that my dryer broke because it was no longer drying clothes and was over heating. When a technician came out to service it, we found out it wasn't the dryer, it was the vent that was clogged up. So I called around town trying to find out who could come out the soonest and at the most affordable price. The other companies tried to upsell their services and were quoting outrageous prices! We were basically referred to Steam Wizard by my A/C installers and they were not only able to come out within a couple hours notice, but they came out for the best price in town... for the specific job I needed. The young gentleman, Gabriel, was here 10 minutes prior to the appointment time and was extremely friendly and very professional. He moved the dryer for me, offered to move what was around for me, unclogged both the interior and exterior of the vent with vacuums and brushes, set my dryer back up, set the screens back on the exterior vent covers and cleaned up after himself. He even vacuumed up some bird bones that he found in the exterior vent right next to the dryer vent. Gabriel also showed me some of the back up lint from the dryer vent that was pulled out. He was gone in less than 1 hour. Before he left, I asked him what other services Steam Wizard provides. We will more than likely use them in the near future for our carpet cleaning needs.

I've used them for a couple of years. They're great. They squeeze me in in a pinch. They have good customer service. They clean my carpets really well. I give them straight A's.

He did a hallway, bedroom and living room. He was shampooing. The service from that company wasn’t bad as I had used them on several occasions. My neighbor used to use them in the house we lived in earlier. I didn’t hear them through my neighbor but when they were here I asked them for an estimate. The last time he was here the work wasn’t bad but he has done better work earlier. He usually takes his time and does a good job but the last time it was a very quick thing and I was not impressed by the last job. If he had to take the time and do it better I would rate him higher. He came in the past and it was less and all of a sudden I realized the price went up and I wasn’t aware of it. I had the same rooms cleaned earlier and so I didn’t ask him but when he finished and asked about the price it was higher and I had to pay for it. He came out very quick. He was here in a day or two. He didn’t show up when he said he would show up but he did say that he was running late and he was still working on the job he had prior to me. He called to say he was running late and on his other job. After the last experience with him I would not use him again. It left a bad taste in my mouth because I felt they tell you something and they do something else. I would recommend him for carpet cleaning but I would suggest you don’t take any of his recommendations regarding other providers.

When he showed up, he and his assistant got right to work. Laid down drop cloths, removed all vent covers, vacuumed, stopped, showed me the extent of build up and what he was doing. Would do one section and have me examine it. Explained each step of the process, talked about importance of routine air/furnace filter replacement, offered advice, but never was condescending, just professional all the way.
