Description of Work: I had the wiring, meter, and attachment point repaired or replaced and moved. My wiring as not up to code and deemed dangerous by oncor. They did a really nice job. Doesn't "look" like $2000 worth of work but a lot had to be moved and rewired.

Description of Work: I want to be fair about this. I requested a written, itemized quote, but they have not done so even though they agreed to provide one. They did give an verbal "ball park" quote because they more or less acknowledged that they did not fully understand the job and thus gave a "not-to-exceed" one. That's OK, but their lack of follow-through on the written (just an email) quote demonstrates that they really don't want to attempt it. In fact, this is a fairly straightforward, albeit multi-step job involving a second contractor (paid by me) to do the plumbing. The purpose is to install a new control panel and heater for a spa., moving the controller location from outside to inside. Cost was - and is - not an issue: Confidence, especially demonstrable self-confidence, is. A stated "no-quote" would have been perfectly acceptable. My next step, unfortunately, will be to try to get a true electrical contractor to study and quote this small but important job.

+ -1 moreMostly fine. Kind of disappointed because he made two trips and charged for both. First time out, looked it over and reset the GFI and restored power to that outlet, but something was wrong with it for it to even do that. Should have replaced the gfi then. Basically said "call if it happens again." Happened almost immediately. Came back out and replaced the gfi. Been fine ever since, like 3 weeks. But got hit for two service trips. Should have just replaced it the first time. And save us time and money. Nice guy and the work itself was A+ but that was not efficient and cost us an extra 85 dollars than it really should have.

+ 0 moreCalled Mr. Electric on Friday morning and before 5:00 there was an electrician at my door! The electrician that came was a super nice guy, (Andy) he looked at the problem fixed part of it, so that our water would circulate in the pool over the weekend (needed to add chemicals) this allowed us to start the shock process after uncovering the pool. On Monday, Greg came as scheduled and on time, he completed the job and was equally as professional as Andy, the first electrician. We were so happy with the service, cost and most of all the attitude and professional manner these guys showed! A Happy Customer!!
Description of Work: Had electrical problems with pool motor, underwater lights and timer.

+ -1 moreI had an okay experience with Mr. Electric of McLennan County. His prices were very expensive and what he did did not even fix the problem we were having. He didn't do what I had wanted him to do about the problem and still charged us $150.00. He was afraid he'd ruin my refrigerator, but I told him, "I don't care if you burn my house done, that is what I want you to do." He also came out a day late and he knew our refrigerator was out. He won't be here again, I can assure you that. He was a jerk.

Description of Work: Replaced 2 wall switches, checked for proper connection of electric wiring to additional building on property, replaced flood light receptacle on front of house and replaced burned out light bulb.

+ 2 moreI would definitely recommend them. I know that they are competitive with their prices because they did some major electrical work for us several years ago. I got three different bids and they came in considerably lower than the other two. The lights in our storage building were way up under the roof that we couldn’t even get to. They did an excellent job. It is a great company and they are very service minded. They do a great job and are always very responsive.
Description of Work: We have used Mr Electric probably five or six times over the last couple of years. They installed outdoor lights in our porch and repaired some lights inside our storage building.

When they said they were going to be here they were here, very courteous, very knowledgeable, they did it quick and didn't overcharge and were gone. Can't ask for anything else. I call people for small electrical things it is hard to get them and these people don't care and I like that.
