Soukup Roofing

This company is one of the preferred roofers that was recommended to me by USAA. I compared their estimate to several others and found it to be extremely competitive. Plus there was an Angie's List coupon also! Once I faxed the proposal acceptance I was contacted and scheduled. Unfortunately due to weather, the replacement had to be pushed by 2 days. Despite not being able to work that day, the workers placed all their materials on the roof for quick start later. I was not present while the job was performed due to a funeral but what I can say is that no one was there when I left the house at 8AM but when I returned around 3PM the roof was finished and the site was spotless. A day later they contacted me to send a representative to preform a final inspection and leave the final invoice. Very professional job, with a lot of attention to detail. This company is top notch and I'd have no problem recommending them to anyone. I expected nothing less seeing that they are recommended by Angie's List and USAA.

Repairmen arrived a bit early on the appointed day and promptly started work. Discovered a need to replace damaged vent cap, and went and obtained part. Work was done quickly and professionally. Expense was approximately half of what was estimated perhaps because we had retained extra shingles from their previous roofing job that Soukup performed for us five years earlier. A nice touch was sending us a follow-up thank you card for our business.

Excellent service and on-time response. Customer friendly service representatives and technicians. Although a bit pricey, I would gladly chose them again for future service.

Everything went well. Everyone showed up on time and there was good communication from their office and Victor the foreman who was in charge of our job. The workers did a good job of helping protect my neighbors yard and A/C unit from falling debris. They also did a good job of picking up all roofing materials all around the house. I only found about 2 small discs that they missed. I would recommend them to anyone needing any roof work done.

When I had my roof replaced a few years ago (not by Soukup), the rain diverters that move the rain into the gutters were put back in a different place, but I didn't think anything of it. Turns out they were very poorly placed, and instead of diverting rain into the gutters, they were diverting water directly toward the chimney, where the wood had begun to prematurely stain and rot. Not wanting to do any more business with the original company, I got on Angie's List and found Soukup. I will use them from now on for all of my roofing needs! They came out and looked at my roof and came back to fix it about a week later - besides moving the diverters to their original location, they also made sure to seal any holes created by the original placement. I didn't even have to be home. And the same day I got the invoice, I also got a personally written thank you for your business note from Victor - people don't do business and customer service like that anymore, and it's a shame. Next time I need any work done, and even 10-20 years down the road when I will need to replace my roof again, I am calling Soukup. Besides doing a great job, they are truly a class act!

Everything went smooth! They offered to do the work for what we thought was a fair price. There were no creepy sales tactics. They showed up when they said they wood, did the work quickly, and mailed us a bill. We will definitely use them in the future.

They did an excellent job. They kept the site very clean. They did the work very well. I'm overall pleased with them. They were not in a hurry to jump into another job. Their price was high. They were not the least expensive. I would use them in the future.

The Soukup men came exactly on time and worked through lunch to complete the job. They did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. They were courteous and helpful with answers to any questions that we had.

Overall, the job went excellent! No problems at all. I highly recommend this outfit and will use them again in the future.

The job went great. After fixing the plywood, they put a piece of sheet metal over the raccoon entry ways. We left the shingles off for about a month. I could hear the raccoons clawing at the metal but not able to get thru (finally). I was hoping they would get the hint. Yesterday, Soukup completed the job by putting up the shingles and added chicken wire over the shingles (I was afraid they would continue digging up the shingles to the metal before they gave up and I would still be replacing the shingles). Soukup technicians were very responsive (they always called me right back - even on their day off. Even though they were a bit higher than my first estimate, I couldn't be happier with their work. Hopefully the raccoons will find another house!

We had hail damage on our roof plus rotted fasic, rotten siding on the chimney, rotten plywood on the roof, and a gutter falling off. The fixed the gutter for no charge. The price was good it took a few week before they could start. Once they started they had 10 plus hard working men hammering away for 12 to 14 hour each day. It only took them 2 days. They were very respectful and clean. The used drop cloths for protection and at the end of each day the picked up each peice of trash. They even used a leaf blower to clean the side walk and deck. I would use then again and highly recommemd them.

I would recommend them again. They were fast and inexpensive.

My experience was very positive. The representative took time to help me with my issue with a solar fan company who had done a very bad instillation. The soukup man told me I was entitled to get my money back from the solar fan company and he took the time to write down the reasons I could give so that I would sound educated and have a strong argument. He did not have do do any of that and his genuine concern and helpfulness impressed me a lot. On the roofing job itself they did a wonderful job. A few things got dinged up during the job and they were extremely prompt with coming out and repairing the issues. They were very professional and always cleaned up. The workers on the roof were simply friendly and weren't afraid to smile and say hello. They apologized for how many lose nails I found afterward, but that was the only problem that I had. (Because I'm a dog owner I wanted to make sure there were NO nails so I probably looked much harder than they did.) I am glad I used them and I would hire them again.

Went very well. Other estimates were higher, and/or there were discrepancies on what really needed to be done to fix the problem.

It all went very well. He sent two people who worked for about three hours following his instructions. We have had no further leaks in a few hard rains.

Problem appears to be fixed. There has been some hard rain and no sign of a leak. I do believe that if the leak does come back they will return to work on it again and will do so until we can all be certain it has been fixed. So far so good!

The representative providing the estimate was prompt, professional, and very helpful. The company was willing to wait until I was ready to begin work without hassling me. The men replacing the roof worked continuously throughout the day and finished the job in two days. The foreman spoke English and was sure any question I had was answered, and I knew when they were leaving, etc. They cleaned up each day upon leaving, and the final cleanup was excellent. There was only one problem with a city inspection requirement which Soukup took care of entirely. I was very pleased with this company and would recommend them.

Very polite, but I was kind of surprised that they sub contract a service they advertise.

Went great. They have replaced two other roofs for us. Professional, punctual, cleaned up after themselves, competitive price. Steve and Josh, way to go guys!

Steve and his crew were great to work with. We were the listing agents in in a real estate transaction and had a closing that required a new roof due to hail damage. We bid a total of 3 roofing companies and Steve was very competitive. The most important thing though was that he got the job done on time and we were able to close on time. The quality was good, they cleaned up properly and they were great to work with. We would definitely use them again.

The work was initially done as scheduled. The next time it rained I saw that I still had water leaking through the roof and at the flushing. The Soukup crew returned and tried again. It still leaked and they returned a third time. I called them in Nov. 2009 and suggested that perhaps a new approach should be taken. I was thinking that I probably needed a new roof and that I would ask them to apply part of what I had already paid to the cost of replacement. Mr. Soukup himself came out and after looking at the roof said that his people had taken the wrong approach, but that it could be repaired. He also said that eventually a new roof would be needed. He said that he would call me the following week to arrange a time to make the repairs and to quote on a new roof. After thinking about it, I decided to skip the repairs and go straight to a replacement. I also intended to ask to have part of what I had already paid applied to the cost of replacement. Mr. Soukup never called. I didn't bother to call him because I had decided to write off the $750.00 to the cost of experience. Since the leaks weren't causing any damage in the short term, I waited until March 2010 to get the roof replaced. I had Action Roofing do the job and I am very pleased with the results, as I have reported to Angie's List.

They showed up a day early while I was at work and did such a good job cleaning up that I didn't know that they had even been there. When they didn't show up the next morning as scheduled, I called and found out that they had already fixed the roof the day before. I had a few questions about the slope of the roof and they sent out a man the next day to answer my questions. I will call them back for a quote when I'm ready to replace the roof on the house.

About 5 months ago Soukup sent a man out who gave us an estimate to fix our roof leak. A week later on the scheduled day a crew arrived and went up on the roof and did some repair work. The next time it rained it the roof still leaked. Each time the roof leaked they I would call and they would return on a dry day again to try further work. I believe it was after the fifth visit (delay due only to waiting for rain to test the repair) that I asked that the owner get involved. Steve Soukup came out while it was still a raining within 2 hours and determined that the grout on the chimney was leaking and needed to be sealed. We have had 2 light rains since the sealant was put on and have not had further leaking. Soukup responded appropriately each time I called and though this process took multiple visits and cost them far more than they charged me, they never asked for more money. This was a difficult job for them and they could have easily told me that the problem was the chimney not the roof and dumped it back in my lap but they did not. I recommend them highly. I have been through a similar experience with another house in another town and it took 4 roofers before I found one that could fix that leak. Give Soukup a try. I don't think they will disappoint you.

The estimator didn't arrive at the scheduled time. I called in and the owner came over himself. He apologized and agreed to give me a great deal since they had broken their commitment. He gave me a written estimate along with several written references and told me to let him know if I would like them to complete the work. He also explained in detail what the issues were. There was no pressure whatsoever to use his company to fix the roof. After receiving a few other estimates I found that Soukup had given me a great price and due to the detail they provided me and their honesty I decided to have them complete the work. I am extremely happy with the work that they performed and with the interaction overall. I will definitely use them the next time I need repairs done to my roof.
