Soukup Roofing

They were very good at roofing. They came when they said they would and stuck with the job until we were sure that it was fixed. I highly recomend them!!

Initial telephone call on 11-11-09, is greeted by a professional office staff that sets a date for an estimate. The Sales Representative arrives promptly at 9 a.m. on 11-17-09. The problem area along the fascia is pointed out. He takes approximately five minutes to physically check the area. Five minutes later, he submits a written estimate for review. The estimate is acceptable because it is reasonable, lower than others and includes a one year workmanship warranty for leak repairs. The written agreement outlines the work is to be done as follows: 1) Add metal flashing below chimney valley. 2) Replace 1 x 2 trim and prime (owner will supply paint). 3) New shingles at chimney high side. An appointment is set for Tuesday, 11-24-09 at 12 p.m. Two employees arrive at 11:30 p.m. They proceed to remove and replace the horizontal wood trim section along the edge of the roof within an hour?s time. The wood trim is painted next. The employee explains how the area is reinforced to prevent a reoccurrence and shows the three inch hole on the rotted wood trim. The two employees are receptive and patient with any requests made such as making sure the pipes are sealed, check chimney for cap, and check for raised shingles. The employees also seal a crack along the soffit just above the fascia, and paint it. The employee is asked if shingles are needed. The employee?s response is ?no.? Ground level inspection shows a missing shingle above chimney valley at the roof line where the fascia and chimney meet. The employee states that a shingle is in place. The employee is requested that a shingle be placed in the area. One shingle is place on top of the other. By 1 p.m. they finish and are on their way to another job. The office staff, sales representative and employees demonstrate their professionalism in dealing with the customer. The office staff is quick to return phone calls and address any concerns. The sales representative is prompt and courteous. The employees are patient and attentive.

Soukup immediately contacted me after I e-mailed them through Angies List, and they immediately scheduled someone to come out and inspect my problem. Victor arrived promptly at the scheduled time. After inspecting my roof he reported that there were no problems. I was very surprised because I was sure there had been a problem. As it turns out, a friend had repaired the problem and not told me. This would have been a perfect opportunity for a dishonest roofing company to bill for a fictious repair.

We had used them before. They were very good. We were very happy with them. They were excellent with cleaning up.

They were an excellent company to work with and the job was done quickly. Their clean-up was also great, we have three small kids and we did not find one old nail or piece of shingle. The men were all polite and respectful of our property.

I called several times but no one returned any of my calls.

When we initially emailed Soukup Roofing they responded by phone the next day, which was a good introduction. The person who called told me that Victor Hernandez would be out to the house the following day to look at the work to be done and give an estimate. Victor was a little late for the appointment, but did call to let us know that he was going to be late. He was very professional in listening about the leaks we had and in looking at the roof. The person who had been out from another company did not inspire confidence. Victor made us feel that he was a professional and experienced in the roofing repair business. I did not receive a quote within 48 hours so I called Victor back. He apologized and gave me a quote of $400 to repair the leak around our chimney flashing on our roof as weel as replace a skylight with a leak in our Florida room. His analysis of the work was almost identical to someone else who had been out from another company, but his quote was half. I accepted the bid over the phone and asked him when the work would begin. Victor indicated that I would get a phone call to schedule the work. A couple days later I had not heard from Soukup. I called them. The work had not been scheduled. They apologized again and scheduled the work within the coming week. It was done on time and on the day agreed. I was also billed by mail, which indicates a stable company to me. We have a written one year warranty of the work. Despite not consistently following through with follow up phone calls, the work was done on time and as bid. I also felt much more secure with Soukup than with the other company that had bid on the work.

The work went great. The owner came and gave me an estimate. They were very professional and showed up at the time they said. They worked a little bit longer than what they said. They did not ask me more money though it cost them more than the estimate. I have no complains. I recommend them highly.

They are a very good company to employ. They tried to be accommodating. They were flexible in the way they went about things when I wanted something a little bit different. They did a good job. They showed up when they said they would. It took them about a week to do the project. They tried to be as considerate as they could of my property and the neighborhood.

Called just to have my roof inspected. The first three houses off the corner on my block have all had their roofs replaced and one also used Soukup. Joshua from Soukup inspected my roof on a Monday. Fortunately for me, I did not need a total re-roof, but just replacing some worn and damaged shingles. The following Friday, two workers had the necessary repairs done very quickly. Soukup was honest and efficient and I am really happy I contracted the company.

They did a really good job. They really supported their warranty. Rain had started dripping in and Mr Soukup came himself. They replaced the insulation and repaired the problem. I was really impressed with that. There is lifetime warranty on the material and a five year warranty on the label. I called around to other states because I have a flat roof. They all said the price quoted was competitive. The only thing I would have liked better was an itemized bill. I have a total bill. It would have been better if they put what the taxes were. For tax purposes it would have been better. They were professional especially Mr Soukoup. When they put in the mechanizm to aerate. The old roofer that had done the install on the pipe between the ceiling and the roof; it was not quite right. My bone to pick with Mr Soukup was that would have been what I checked first. I feel they should have picked up on the problem.

Awesome, awesome, and awesome! Josh came out and measured the roof, gave me a very reasonable estimate, and scheduled the work. There were some weather delays, but that wasn't something they could control. On the day they did the work, they did a great job of keeping everything neat and clean. They laid down tarps all around the house to minimize mess. They used a leaf blower to blow loose aggregate of the finished roof and to clean up the yard. They also swept the yard with a magnet so they wouldn't leave stray nails. All the guys were very courteous, and the roof looks fantastic!

They were able to figure out a problem that other could not solve over the past 5 years. They were very professional and reasonably priced.

They did an excellent job. It looks good. They matched the rest of the roofing just right. It hasn't really rained hard here yet, so I cannot be sure that there won't be any leaking, but it does look okay.

They came when they said they would. One piece of work was not done. I called and someone called me back the next day and told me when the work would be done.

I was very pleased with the results. I had some persistent issues with my roof due to the construction and the custom skylights. My roof does not have an attic and has maybe 6-9 inches of space between the exterior roof decking and the cedar plank on the interior roof of the house. The specific place where water may be entering on the outside may not be seen as the same place that the water enters the house from the inside. Soukup was very persistent and fixed the problem. The crew was great and Josh, the foreman, was really wonderful to work with. This report is a little late in being filed, and my apologies to the company for that. I had better intentions since I was happy with the work.

Excellent!!! Victor came out to give me an estimate, and he was very professional, no hard sell and was very informative about the types of roofing available. On the day the work was scheduled, six men arrived to start taking off the old roof, and as they worked, an additional two men brought the materials and sent those up with a crane type device. Those six guys worked like lightning, taking off the old roof, putting on the new roof, adding the ridge vent. I was going to get a ridge vent on the garage, but it turned out that part of the roof wouldn't support a ridge vent, so they went and got a nice wind turbine and put that up. I found one board and fascia that had ants eating it, so I went to a home improvement store, got those two pieces of wood, and the roofers put those up. They got there at 8:00 am and were finished in about 6 hours or so. They were great, they didn't mind me out there watching them work, and the roof looks super!!! The crew was great, friendly and obviously knew their roofing!

He was priced right. Very dependable.

Victor Hernandez showed up on time and even waited 15 minutes for me to arrive. He analyzed the leak and gave me a firm price. He said he could fix it right then. However, he was unable to reach the first floor flashing because of a porch so nothing was done there. He repaired the second floor flashing which he said was installed improperly. We agreed to see if the leak reoccurred to see if it was necessary to disassemble the porch to repair the first floor flashing. Mr. Hernandez was professional, on time and courteous.

It took quite a while to get an estimate because Soukup was backlogged from hail damage repairs. After the estimate I thought they would schedule my work, but I had to call back to get the work scheduled. Once scheduled, the work was done promptly, neatly, and for the estimate (which is their minimum charge). The work was done in August, but I held off on the evaluation until we finally got a rain that would definitely have caused the leak. We just got the rain that would have caused a leak and I can safely say the repair held. For the price and quality of work, the slight hassle of getting the work done was well worth it.

Mr. Soukup did the estimate, which was very reasonable. The roofers came at 7:30 in the morning, took exactly one hour for lunch, and finished the ENTIRE job by 6:30 that night. They cleaned up everything and used a magnet all over the yard to find any nails. There was not one piece of debris left behind!

We were very pleased with the professionalism of the estimator. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our inquiries. The roofers arrived and within one day had the majority of the roof done. They finished in about another half day. They were very polite and did everything we asked. They cleaned up very well before they left. We have not noticed any flaws in their work. They came highly recommended and showed us their letters of recommendation. We would highly recommend them.

My overall experience with Soukup Roofing was very positive. I appreciated meeting with Mr. Soukup himself instead of a representative and found him to be very professional. You could tell that quality and good workmanship were important to him. His crew was prompt and also professional. They did an excellent clean up job.

Soukup Roofing gave us the best bid over the other companies. They had a crew of seven people and were able to get my roof done quickly. They installed shingles that had a forty year warranty on them. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves as there was no debris left at all.
