Sergio's Crown Molding

The install went smoothly and Sergio was very professional. I did not realize until I began using my patio however, that he placed the trim around my dinning room door over to far and I have to force my door open and closed. The caulk that he used ran out and he had another container in his truck and it wasnt a good container at all. The caulk has left a yellow tone on all of the joint in my master bedroom and I can tell that the angles arent as flush as they should be. Upon calling, and texting Sergio to this day I am yet to hear back from this company so that the issue' s can be rectified. I read the reveiws and everyone seemed tohave loved his work but to me it wasnt the greatest job ever. All I want is for my phone call to be returned and set up a new appointment so he can come back and correct his errors as he was paid in full and on time. Now I am searching for another crown molding installer and hopefully the new company will do a better job and have great attention to detail.

We were extremely pleased with Sergio's customer service and the quality of his work. He was very timely in coming to the house to give us an estimate, and he worked around our schedule. We had already calculated the price of the crown molding at a local home improvement store, so we knew that the price he quoted us for materials, measuring, installing, etc., was a super value! An appointment was set for the date of installation, and he arrived on time, finished in the time frame promised, and cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend this company as we plan on using him again in the future ourselves!

My house has lots of odd angles so I wanted someone who specialized in crown molding. Sergio was very professional, on time, much less expensive than other bids and worked very quickly. He prepainted the crown with the color of paint I wanted, cut it on site, and he and his wife filled in nail holes, caulked and did a second coat of paint after all was finished. It looks SO GREAT! It was a pleasure to work with them both.

I met with Sergio one week before and was VERY specific about the measurements that I wanted the Crown Molding and Base Boards to be. I was also VERY specific that sense we were using MDF instead of wood, after all the cuts were made that I wanted a thick coat of Water Resistant Oil Based Primer put on each board BEFORE it was painted or installed. Sergio took these notes down in a notebook and said this would not be a problem and that he could do everything I asked. I took a vacation day to have this done. When he showed up with his wife, the board was not the width we discussed and the boards were not pre-cut and primed like Sergio said they would be. When I questioned him about this, he said to me that if I didn't like the boards as they were, then he wasn't going to do the job. I felt in a bind at that point, so I told him to do the job. So now I'm stuck with Base Boards that are wider than my door frame. He should have just been honest up front and said he couldn't do the job. Don't show up and tell your customers to 'Take it or leave it'.

Sergio and his work were absolutely fabulous. His wife, Rosa, is his ace helper and it would be impossible to find two nicer or more accommodating people. Folks, I'm telling you, if you want crown molding in your home and you want an extremely high quality job at a reasonable price, you MUST contact and hire Sergio Chavez!! Now, as a matter of pure disclaimer, I'm critical when it comes to perfection, but when Sergio was done, I was unable to find one flaw .... unconditionally, a phenomenal job!! Better (and cheaper) than any builder could EVER do!! Sergio impressed me as a craftsman, but he's also a fine, hard working person. More than trustworthy and he goes above and beyond to finish his work and make the customer happy. He completed the work in about 12 hours and even had time for lunch. I mean, I was truly amazed. He knows exactly what he's doing ... I don't think he made one bad cut and if you could see the finished product you would be astounded!! It's drop dead gorgeous! Our beautiful home now looks like a castle and we couldn't be happier. I've never seen anyone so capable, quick and precise. Oh, and when Sergio and Rosa left, it was like they were never there except for the magnificence they left behind! Thanks so much Sergio for adding beauty and quality to our home. And, get ready for more work because I'm telling everyone I know to call you! Outstanding ... just simply outstanding!!

I set up an appointment for Sergio to come give me an estimate. He cancelled the first appt so we rescheduled. I changed my plans to be home and he never showed, never called, never texted. I tried twice to contact him with no answer. Don't understand why I got this treatment after all the positive reviews. Very disappointed and he has lost a customer.

His service was excellent. Doing crown molding is a very difficult job and her was able to get the work done in three house which was fabulous. I was was very hap with his work.

Sergio came right over to give quotes for job. We agreed on start time and date and Sergio showed up as promised. He did a excellent job and exceded my expectations on the work that he performed. I will use him to finish the rest of the crown molding that i want done on my house. Sergio is very good a what he does and plan to use him again in the near future.

Sergio did a fantastic job. It took him about 5 hours to measure, cut and install the crown molding on the first floor of my home. He laid down blankets to protect my floors and keep them from getting dirty. The end result look fantastic and made a difference in my home, I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

It went fantastic. Sergio and his wife were on time, came prepared and I have to say ? they are extremely hard workers with focused attention on quality and detail. They took the time to lay runners throughout the main level of our home to protect the wood floors. They actually came to the job with all the crown molding pre-painted. Sergio measured twice to ensure his cuts were accurate. As Sergio installed, his wife came behind to fill the nail holes, caulk gaps (due to no walls ever being 100% straight) and then she came back through and touched up the paint with a fresh coat. My wife and I were originally looking to do all this work ourselves and I am SO glad we decided to go with Sergio. His attention to detail, the quality of his work, his professionalism were above and beyond. Sergio and his wife are very humble and respectable people and we highly recommend them. Rest assured that they will treat your home and install their product with the highest of care and professionalism. The main level of our home now looks custom; they really change the look and feel of our home. We will be having Sergio back early in 2014 to rip out our old baseboards and install new baseboards to match our custom crown molding. This was his second time out. Mr Chavez is the most professional gentleman I have ever worked with. He and his wife work together and they are fantastic. They are prompt and on time and they are very meticulous. They use real wood and I highly recommend them to anyone wanting great service.

Sergio and his wife are rock stars!!! They installed crown molding in all areas of house and chair rail in dining and children's room. The quality of the work was outstanding. The molding looks as if it was always apart of the house. The painting and attention to detail was beyond our expectations. Perfection. The work was timely and there was no surprises. Price was very reasonable. Less expensive for the builder to install.

He did a beautiful job all by himself in relatively short time at a very reasonable price. We could not have hoped for anything better. He came by for an estimate four days earlier with samples of molding. He provided all materials and measured, cut, installed, caulked and painted...started at 9:00am, finished at 2:00pm. We had some crown molding done previously by another contractor and Sergio did it at a lower price, twice as fast and ten times better. He is an expert, artist even and a fine gentleman. Strongly recommend!

We purchased a new custom home in September 2011 and have always wanted to install crown molding. Recently the time was right to contract the job, so I did some research on Angie's List and found Sergio's Crown Molding. Sergio came out to our home and began measuring all the wall dimensions as he surveyed the layout of our home. The design of our home includes a number of angles, slopes, and sharp curves in the layout of the walls. Sergio was up to the challenge and assured me he could make the precise cuts necessary to bring everything together. The job called for approximately 3,000 square feet of crown moulding. Sergio purchases the supplies a few days prior to the job and paints the wood in advance. Sergio allotted 4 days to complete the job since this was going to be a huge task. He showed up on Monday August 4th right on time. Sergio and his wife Rosa work together as a great team. They made great progress each day and actually finished the job one day earlier than expected. They cut the wood pieces out on the front sidewalk, installed the crown molding and then went back over it with a sealant and touch up paint. They are very careful, clean, and courteous. They finished the job on Wednesday afternoon and the final product was absolutely beautiful. We are so impressed with Sergio's craftsmanship and ability to make some of the precision cuts required to seamlessly bring it all together. They cleaned up very nicely when the job was complete and you would never know we just went through a 3 day crown molding install project. Our home went from khaki walls and ceilings that seemed to just run together, to having a high end finish that frames out our rooms and makes the house look so luxurious.
