Not good at all. Waste of my time.

NEVER HEARD OF HIM AGAIN - Never sent a quote - Never called to explain why he would not want the job. - Still do not know if the job was too big or small for him. - Still regret taking afternoon off from work to meet with him.

Job went great! Team was punctual and ready to complete the various services. They explained along the way as they moved from room to room to make the various repairs.

It didn't, I never heard from him and by that I guess he didn't want to do the work. I was very dissapointed.

Doug quickly came to the house to respond to my online request (which specifically stated the job I was requesting for him to do). He walked my house and never called me back. I also texted him after the walk to ask for him to quote additional services. No return text. No return call. A waste of time.

Doug was on time for the discussion with the inspector and submitted an estimate. Estimated cost of repairs appeared very reasonable.

An incredible experience FINALLY with a contractor. Doug is very professional, very punctual and explained every detail to me about what needed to be done with the floors. After setting up for the workers to come out, I found his workers to be VERY professional, polite and will definitely use his services again. You cannot go wrong with Y's Guys!

I needed the work done on very short notice and Doug was very fast to respond. He showed up when planned, did a great job and cleaned up in no time. Very happy with Y's Guys and would not hesitate to recommend them!

It was probably September or October. And then the neighbor across the street used them also, because we referred him to her. She used them in December and no complaints. That I would not know, I just met him, I have no idea what the cost was. My husband interviewed 3 people and he was the one who went recently because of his attitude mannerism, his character. I really have not had any other than meeting this young. We are calling him back again for some repairs in the back and the garage but the others they have all seem pleasant. There was one for flooring but I do not remember the name of the company. I know he was funny than others but I have no idea. It is a one man but he has his contacts and they have all been very pleasant. But lately, we have been using the Y’s Guys.

They did very craftsman-like work and were very skilled at what they did. What is best is that they were really good communicators on what and was not going well and what they needed to do. They were impacted by the weather so there was a lot of shifting around of when they could work outside and couldn't. It went slower than I wanted, but I did not feel badly about it because they kept me up-to-date and current.

I had a water softener installed by Lowes back in 2008. Since they couldn't dig under the driveway they decided to run the lines all the way around my house. Those lines started leaking in July of 2013. I called Doug (from Y's Guys) and presented him with my hair-brained idea to address the issue. He obviously had better ideas and was able to replace the damaged section of water lines and provide a better/deeper installation than what I had before.

Doug Young is very upfront and the price estimate was the actual cost of the repair. We had a length of our privacy fence replaced. They provided good quality materials, and the finished project was overall excellent. They removed all the old wood and hardware. We only had two issues. The first was the materials were delivered to our front yard and dropped on the lawn where they sat for two days before the work began, and we were a bit surprised. We weren?t sure if it was ours or our neighbors since it was set on the property line and in both of our yards and arrived well before the work began. The only other issue was the installer (a third party contractor), left the individual fence tags on each of the brackets.

Mr. Young was very upfront with the costs and did not ask for any money until all the work was completed satisfactorily. My only complaint is that the tile guys didn't always show up when they said they were going to.

Two repairmen showed up on time and got right to work removing the old motors. My ceiling in the garage is higher than usual but they stil managed. The job took a little longer than expected baecause one of the new door sensors was bad so trouble shooting had to take place before the problem was identified. None of the repairmen complained about the extra time they had to take. After the installation was complete I was shown the new feaures of this system and they helped me program my wireless controll entry pad and my wife's car so she can open the garage door from her car's built in remote access system. They also cleaned up all of the boxes and trash from the new units and hauled my old units away with them. Overall I was very pleased with their punctuality, professionalism and quality of their work. I highly recdommend using therie service.

They fabricated and installed two raised panel cabinet doors with hidden hinges in master bedroom. Provided and installed birch veneer plywood in family room shelving unit. provided and installed two shelves to match existing shelves and applied sealer on new material. Tore out existing speaker cabinets in game room and enclosed the open spaces with drywall, tape and float. Filled and patched three damaged areas on back doors. Replaced brick mould around one door. Adjusted two patio doors upstairs. Provided and installed new extra thick weatherstripping around doors. Stretched carpeting in upstairs bedroom and hallway.

After reading the Angie?s List reviews for Doug and the Y?s Guys Handyman Service I thought they were just what I was looking for a group of guys to do different kinds of jobs around the house. I called the number on the website. When Doug answered he said he was on the road and asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. I don?t like to talk on the phone while I?m driving so I had no problem with his requested. Unfortunately he didn?t call me back until the next day. He did apologize for not calling me back which was nice. He said he had some jobs in the area and he could come by between 1 pm and 2pm. He showed up on time. I had mentioned I had a blue Jeep and it would be in the driveway. It?s a good thing I was outside because he pulled up in the neighbor?s driveway. I waved him off and pointed across the yard at my driveway and my Jeep. He said parking was kind of tricky around here. Hello I told him to look for a dark blue Jeep in the driveway. Doug had Robert with him. I took them inside to show them the bathroom. I had a leak inside the wall of the shower. I needed to have someone replace the faucet and repair the wet drywall. I also need the shower walls put back up. They looked over the project and said it would be about a two hour job. While they were at my house I asked them to give me an estimate on putting a pocket door in for me. My house is actually a duplex but I would like to use it as a single family home. I wanted a pocket door put in the shared living room wall. I told Doug I wanted the shower fix as soon as they could fit me in. I said I would like to do the pocket door project in the first or second week of June. I was looking forward to having my shower fixed and told Doug I had more jobs I needed done. He said so you have some work to keep us busy. I said yes but I?d like to see how the shower repair job goes first. He said it would go well because he had a lot of good workers. He said if they didn?t do a good job he didn?t use them again. As they were leaving I told Doug he could email me the estimates. I gave him my email address and he asked for my cell phone number again. I watched him write them both in his notebook. One of the last things I said to Doug was I get $25 off my first job as an Angie?s list customer don?t I? He said yes I did but I would have to remind him. He said that?s your job to remind me. I said ok no problem. I figured I would just print the coupon. I started thinking of all the things I had been putting off. I wanted to have a couple outdated outdoor lights replaced. I also have an outdoor plug that doesn?t work. I have some trim work around the house that needs to be fixed so I can paint the house again. I also wanted to put in some new counters and tile floor in my kitchen. But I will never know if Doug and his guys could do the jobs because he never sent the estimate for the shower repair or pocket door. I was hoping to get the shower fixed for $200-$300 but I knew the pocket door would be more like $2000-$3000. I kept checking my spam (junk) mail to make sure I didn?t missDoug?s email. I did not find an email from Doug. I am very disappointed I was looking forward to having a dependable handyman service I could call on. EDIT: Doug called me today at 5:52 pm. I was on the phone. I returned his call at 5:54 pm. I asked if he had just called me. He said yes and no. He said he did dial my number but it was an accident. He said he was going to get back to me later. I told him I had already given him a D on my Angie's List review and that I was going to get someone else. I wished him good luck. He wished me good luck on my project. This guy really needs to get some help so he can get some rest. I am adding some last minute info to my review of Doug and the Y's Guys Handyman Service. Doug did call me but by accident. I couldn't believe he actually thought I would wait for him to get back to me later when he didn't even mean to call me back. I told him you didn't email me the estimate and now you called me back by accident? I told him I am going to find someone else. At least he didn't lie and say oh yea I did mean to call you. Have to give him credit for being honest.

"Y"Guys was excellent!!! They did and fixed every thing estimated in a timely manner and with expertise! Will be using them again and again! As soon as in a few weeks. DO CALL THEM ! EXCELLENT SERVICE MEN in the San Antonio, Helotes Texas area.

All repairs were done excellently.

They are punctual, courteous, and fun.

We used Y's Guys to install a dryer vent and gas range vent to the roof. Mike, the owner, came out and gave me a price which I felt was a lot but we really didn't have time to get more estimates so we went ahead and hired them to do the work. The job took a little longer than we had anticipated because of some weather issues but the job was done right. He sent Gino to do the vent work and he did an excellent job! When Mike sent a roofer out to install the vents on top of the roof, they noticed there was an area around a water heater vent that needed some repair and he did this free of charge. Good honest people! I would use them again. I only have one complaint and that is Mike had asked me when we are going to replace our roof as it is obviously in bad shape. I told him hopefully in the summer some time. I asked him to give me an estimate and he said he would send a roofer by next week to do the estimate but he never showed up. I also told Mike I had a window that was badly damaged by another contractor and wanted him to look at it and give me a price. He said he would but never got back to me. Maybe really really busy?? I don't know as he hasn't contacted me.

Great. will use his company for our remodel.

It took eight hours, two hours just to remove the old door. It was overall a good experience, just took longer than expected.

They had all the necessary equipment and materials to do the job. This was 9 A.M., and it was already hot on the roof. These gentlemen worked tirelessly throughout the morning and afternoon in the sweltering heat. I couldn't stay outside for a prolonged time, but when I went out to check progress, they just were going at it. I could see where they removed the damaged decking, and the chimney siding, so I knew they were doing what was agreed on. Sometime after noon, Doug Young came to check on the progress, and I paid him then, even though I could not see any of the work on the roof. He stated he could come back after they were done to check the work, but as I had seen the work the crew had done, I gave him the check anyway. He assured me, if anything was wrong, he would make good on it. About 2 P.M. I went to check the work as they were finishing the last part of the chimney. As hot as it was, even in the shade below, I saw they were still doing a very professional job on the final placement of a counter flashing to cover a gap in the chimney siding. When they were about done, I told one that some flashing was left on the side of the chimney. He stated they installed the flashing that way to divert water from going down the sides of the chimney when it rained. They told me if it rained, and I noticed any leakage of any kind, to call, and they would come back to fix whatever was required. Unfortunately, we haven't had rain, but I know, the Y's Guys will make good if I have a problem.
