Corey suggested several options: 1) gently wipe each of the sensors off with a cloth; 2) don't use a broom on them (this may get the sensors out of line); and 3) make sure the sensors are directed at each other that the green and amber lights are on. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
