Chase seemed attentive when I first talked to him weeks before I needed this work done, but then things really disintegrated as it got closer to actually doing the work. Over the phone, he gave me a quote of $500. Then later, he decided he needed to come over to look at the area to be excavated, which is pretty small. He said he would call back with an estimate, which he never did. I had to call him back only to get a strange explanation of how it might cost more for the job. I said fine, let's just get it done this weekend. He agreed and said he would call me back with an exact time to meet for the job. I then never heard back from him. I got the distinct idea he just didn't want to do the job at all. So I ended up calling Essie's excavating and hauling and had a wonderful experience. They were punctual, honest, fairly priced, and did more than I expected.
Description of Work: A small area approximately 150-200 square feet of asphalt needed to be removed along with a small load of wood and pallets.

Chase had some challenges. He had sub-contracted with a wall installer to remove dirt and prepare a site across the street. I agreed with the wall contractor to take the discarded soil. Chase was also to perform that function. Technically all he had to do was dump the dirt. I was a bit nervous, but Chase assured me that the dirt would be leveled and placed where I requested, no cost. He completed that task and did a good job. His equipment is a small "bob-cat" that has rubber tracks so it would not damage the driveway and made minimal damage of the existing grass. While doing all of this, he was running between two other neighbors answering question and making things right as the impending rain storm approached. The discarded concrete curbs were buried and larger than anticipated. He removed the concrete curbs and the concrete pieces in the gully. He fell the tree and moved it into position. I perceive Chase as a young man that works hard and cares about the customer.
Description of Work: Chase Windsor quoted the project. The scope of work was to remove large concrete curbs that were dumped on my property. There was another area of the property that had large concrete pieces dumped in a drainage gully. It appears that when this subdivision was built, my property was used as the dumping ground. The last request was to fell a large tree and extend it across the gully as a natural bridge.
