After quoting me an hourly rate for any job he would do for me, he added an extra 3 hours on the bill, stating it was for traveling, the use of his tools and truck, and for standing in line to get parts (he needed only a very few small parts that I didn't have). I can understand maybe paying for his time getting any spare parts but, I think everything else should be included in the flat hourly rate he quoted me in the beginning. He seems to be very knowledgeable, and does pretty good work but, he left me a huge mess to clean up after installing a ceiling fan that could have been avoided if he had just put the packaging, extra hardware, and every other piece of trash back in the box as he was unpacking and installing it.
