m this organizer.No help coming at this time. I would not recommend any type of support from this firm. Try another provider. There service is poor at best.
Description of Work: direct tv authourised a service call on429//2015 from tatbo8pm on this date. called at 4:30 pm and stated that they would'nt be servicing my account. stated alhtough my remote and tv whernt operational They wanted to sevice my account overthe phone with a overnignt delivery. I statedbI needed a tech. to make the adjustments That I felt not up to the job.No help coming from direct tv at all.I pay a monthly premium to have this help available.

Called to find out why I couldn't purchase a PPV as I've done in the past. After she goes thru all the steps I used she informs me they won't be carrying it. I asked why... don't know. Will this be permanent?.... don't know. Who do I speak with about this matter?..... long pause..... Hello?.... who do I speak with?...... no answer. I ask if they intend to tell me- NO, we're not allowed. When my contract is over, I'm changing providers!!!

Another 4 hour wait. This time tech was no show. I called DTV who advised me the original tech cancelled the order. i was never advised of that.
Description of Work: Called and scheduled upgrade/install. Waited four hours for tech. 5 min prior to scheduled arrival tech shows up and order was incorrect and tech did not proper equipment to do the job. Advised they work 7 days a week. I immediately called to schedule an appointment next day

Three things I can't stand... liars and those who profit thru deceit and trickery. First when I signed up for DirectTV in Sep 2012 I stated I did not want all the free premium channels and the NFL Ticket. I was told I had to wait three months then I could call and cancel. In Dec 2012 I called and cancelled the free premium channels and NFL Ticket. There were other items they provided for one year that were free which came to about 40 dollars when the ran out in 2013. Well here we are in Oct 2013, 1 year and part of a month past my original sign up date... and I just found out that DIRECTTV automatically renewed NFL Ticket and are billing me for it,even after I had called and had them note in my account to delete the premium channels and NFL Ticket. I called DIRECTTV and they stated that the found where I had cancelled the premium channels but could not find where I cancelled NFL Ticket. ANd since they had already started the season and were billing me I COULD NOT CANCELL and MUST continue to pay the 37.49 for the remaining NFL Season or 5 more months. To no avail I tried to explain but only got you WILL be billed anyway. So I stated, put a notice not to renew next year under any circumstances, and was told, I could NOT do that at this time, that I must wait until the season ends in Jan 2014, then sometime after Jan 17 2014 call them and they would put a note not to renew. The same thing I did last year but something they say they have no record of. They also said they sent a letter to me in June saying they were renewing the NFL Ticket, a letter we never received. They stated they did not need to prove we got the letter, and that since I did not call and tell them again before the NFL Season began I MUST pay for the entire season and could NOT disenroll now, I had to wait to the end of the season. SO BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE PRACTICES THAT depend on someonelse keeping accurate records and doing what they say the have done. The email I got only says they made the changes I requested... but not what those changes were. Since I never received a bill for the NFL Ticket and it never appeared on my statements as being billed... I assumed... yeah assumed... that they had completed the dropping of both the premium channels and NFL Ticket. The fact that I can't stop them from renewing the NFL Ticket until Jan ... four months from now... gives me the impression they are using time to their advantage. First, since the billing stops in Dec, I won't see it on my bill in Jan and thus may not realize I need to call them. Well I will put in on my calander this time. ANd come Sep 2014... I'll be looking for another TV provider. ALso when I called the folks at DIRECTTV... the Supervisor I talked to stated they had been billing me since Jun 2013... but the season didn't start until Sep... and this is the first bill we've see... so he lied about it already billing for four months... he also would not give me a number of point of contact at Corporate HQ... told me to go find it on the web site... guess what... no corporate contact info on the web site... on the same folks I had already talked too. Well live and learn. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DIRECTTV as even though a mistake was made they REFUSED to fix it, and lied about how it occured and noted that they only have to say they sent you a notice and do not have to prove you got it or that you were otherwise concious of what was about to happen, and once it happens you CANNOT discontue it. I WOULD ADVISE YOU FIND SOMEONE ELSE and DO NOT ENTER INTO A LONG CONTRACT. SPOKE with a DIRECTTV Retention Agent who checked past contact and found where I had tried to cancel the NFL Ticket, and he immediately recinded the payment (will be a credit on our next bill) and placed a notice not to renew the NFL Ticket. Offered a free 2 month subscription to Stars that WILL NOT automatically renew... And appologized for the incovenience caused. So we are now back to a workable relationship. Its a shame it took someone this long to resolve this issue but at least DIRECTTV has folks that will listen and act as needed. So thats an attaboy.
Description of Work: When I signed up for Direct TV Told the Reps I did not want NFL Ticket and other premium Channels when we signed up in Sep 2012. Even though they were offered for free. Took them until Dec 2012 when I called DIRECTTV help desk again to note they had accomplished my changes. Got an email that said they made the changes but did not note exactly what changes were made. THen in Oct 2013 I find I'm being billed for NFL Ticket (Total about $225) even though I told them to I did not want it and not to renew.

They were pretty good. We have pretty good service. It's my only option. I think so far, it's as good as cable. We have storms and everything but it hasn't gone out. There was one problem. They couldn't use the dish that was already installed on my disc. They couldn't go up there because they can't go on the rift to uninstall it. The guy charged me $150 to do it but he worked hard. They were great with responsiveness.

This is my first experience with satellite service. There are times when it goes; it can't be helped because of the weather. If I was not on a two-year contract when I signed up with them I probably would have changed to cable just because of the outage. The service is great, the young lady that came out to install the wiring did a super job, and she is extremely reliable and a pleasure to work with.

This company is extremely unprofessional. Their own service tech called and cancelled my installation. Then, once I complained, they refused to rectify the problem.
Description of Work: This company is extremely unprofessional - they refused to fix a problem that was caused by them. I scheduled an installation for June 6th between Noon and 4 p.m. - I waited until six and when the service tech failed to show up, I called the company. They indicated to me that someone had called in and rescheduled the service call for an alternate date. When they gave me the number that called and rescheduled - it was their service tech! While I understand that it is sometimes difficult to deal with employees, the biggest problem that I had was that they refused to rectfiy the problem, which, in given the events, I fully expected them to do.

The serviceman who installed the dish and hooked it all up was prompt and very professional. I have a large dog and he even managed to work around him without any problem. I do feel, however, that in speaking with the customer service representative to find out about the service, that not everything was explained in its entirety so that I actually understood about price, etc. I received 3 months of HBO, Cinemax, Encore, etc., but in looking at what I'm paying for after the 3 months expire, it appears that most of the channels are shopping channels or continuous product advertisements rather than actual stations.
Description of Work: I had a satellite dish put in and my tv hooked up to it with a genie dvr recorder.

The service is good most of the time. When we have storms or bad winds we tend to loose service. It happens roughly once per month. We can still use the content recorded on our box, but nothing else.
