We service spas. All types. Above ground and in ground. we also service pool equipment. We are licensed and insured. We have our own staff. We offer electrical connection to spas. Spa removal and relocating. We service DFW and surrounding areas. Customers are charged an initial trip charge depending on location. Trip charge includes travel to the site and diagnostic labor and spa check up. Locating leaks outside the equipment area or underground is not included in the trip charge. Repair parts and labor is not included in the trip charge. Credit cards are accepted.

Description of Work: Service call to investigate sticking relay on Aeries spa/hot tub electric heater. Heater had been running non-stop and over heating the hot tub water to 110 degrees F before the overtemp relay shut heater and pumps off. The day before the service call, the heater started working properly. Went ahead with service call to evaluate the circuits and decide what to do the next time the relay malfunctions. Technician checked circuits and did not find any problem. Given the history of overheating, it was suspected that a relay is sticking sometimes. I asked the technician to have JR Spas create an estimate to repair or replace the defective relay. When it overheats again, we will call JR Spa again to get it fixed. The initial prognosis is that it will cost about $1,000 for parts and labor to replace the entire electronic circuitry and heating element. That is a lot of cost for a 6 year old spa. The $1,000 is in line with what Aeries said on the phone that it would cost to replace the electronic package. The company that made this one is no longer in business...

Initially, we called Morgan Spa to schedule a follow-up service appointment. Their service technician apparently does the work only after his full time job and indicated that he would be in touch to schedule a time, but then never followed up. We contacted JR Spa Services and got an appointment set up within a few days. The technician, Brad, showed up on time and did an initial review of the motors and pumps. Instead of having to replace both motors, he found that one motor just needed a fuse replaced and the other motor just needed rebuilt bearings (something we had talked about when making the appointment). He performed the work in about an hour. We will definitely use JR Spa Services again.
Description of Work: The technician replaced a fuse in one pump and motor bearings in a second pump.

JR SPA SERVICES HAD DONE WARRANTY WORK [ REPLACED PUMP ] IN 2010. BOTH TIMES I HAVE USED THEM THEY PERFORMED TOP NOTCH WORK. BRAD [ SERVICE TECHNICIAN] DID A GREAT JOB. I WILL ABSOLUTELY USE THEM AGAIN WHEN THE TIME COMES.

They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable rate. Will be using them again and again.
Description of Work: I have now used JRs Spa Service twice. The first time he came promptly and replaced the heater element on my spa. Other companies I contacted wanted to just replace the circuit board for $600 +. JR's said let just try the heating element first and it worked, no need for the expensive circuit board. While he was there I also asked him about rebuilding my in-ground pool pump that was making terrible noises. he said he could replace the bearings and seals and rebuild the pump, which he did on a followup visit. My old pool service company just wanted to put in a new pump at $495 plus labor, even though this pump was only two years old. JR's came back and rebuilt the pump for less than a third of the cost. I own a property management company that manages about 250 homes, and we will now use JR's for all our pool and spa repairs!

Our hot tub stopped working after being drained, cleaned and refilled. After a long search for a company who repairs above ground hot tubs, we found JR Spa Service. The company is now located in Hurst, Texas. I was told by another spa company that there are new certification regulations for companies to work on hot tubs and most companies didn't want to go the extra mile to meet the requirements. I scheduled a service call with JR Spa Services to have our hot tub checked. Turns our the heating element for the water had gone out. There was an initial $100.00 service call fee, but was informed that there would not be another service fee if they have to return to install additional parts. During the initial service call, I was given a quote on the cost for the parts before they were ordered. It took about a week for the parts to come in. The service crew returned when promised and made the repairs in very timely manner. Both communications with the main office and the service technicians were very professional and informative. The person at the office even suggested things to check before the service technician came out in an effort to save us the initial service charge. You just don't find companies now days that will be that considerate! We will use JR Spay Services again and highly recommend them.

Description of Work: Called JR Spa Service to arrange an appointment. No one answered so I left a message. A return call from a lady who said she was calling from JR Spa Services. Ask what type of problem I was needing corrected, we discussed the issue. She said someone could be scheduled for sometime Tuesday. I pressed for a more specific time, they cannot make appointments for specific time. Do I have a friend that can be at your home so the service man can look at the pool. Can you call and give me an hours notice, no we cannot was the answer, it depends on where the service mans is. I work just like many others and cannot just take off a full day waiting for a service person to arrive at a non specific time. JR Spa repairs must not want business because after a few more comments she hung up. Still looking for someone who will work with me to make repairs to my Spa. I selected this company because of the good reports on Angie's List. I guess this was just a bad day to call for service.

The member called on Saturday, May 7th. He was informed we could not provide an exact time. Our technician can call the morning of service with an ETA, generally a 2 to 4 hr. window. We never suggested the member have a friend wait on us. The member never asked for a 1 hr. advance call. We often call customers a specified time in advance at thier request. The member simply wanted too precise of a time commitment. We cannot make a commitment to a customer that we know in advance we may not be able to meet.

excellent service ,prompt,reliable. great user friendly new equipment vs 1980 vintage (old equipment). for those with a leaking redwood tub ,I had this one "fiberglassed" some time ago. NO LEAKS.
