It was refreshing for someone to submit a fast estimate, show up on time & finish on time. They do great work & clean up after themselves. These are all things that we appreciate after dealing with so many that don't show up when they say they will OR complete the job in the amount of time they say. Joe was excellent & kept us informed every step of the way.

+ 2 moreJoe and his crew were awesome! Joe came by as scheduled and provided me a quote. He was very patient and helpful while I was canvassing around for other quotes. In the end, we decided to go with GroundScape as Joe was very knowledgable and he provided us with a very fair and reasonable price. He didn't mind the hundreds of questions I asked and he answered questions in a timely fashion. Joe worked with us on finding a great solution for our budget. He and his crew were very professional. The workers worked hard for 3 days and were respectful of our property. The work exceeded my expectations! Our outdoor space is beautiful and I spend as much time as I can out there (and our furniture has yet to be delivered!). I highly recommend GroundScape Solutions.
Description of Work: GroundScape created a beautiful outdoor space for us. They created a well done flagstone patio extension. They also created flower beds and a flagstone & river rock pad for our picnic table.

Description of Work: GroundScape is an unprofessional and untrustworthy company. They bold face lied to up sell a more expensive retaining wall. We requested a quote to replace an existing railroad tie wall. We specifically said due to the amount of rain water that goes over the top of the wall we want to replace with new railroad ties (not interested in installing an expensive drainage system). We were clear that we were not interested in a paver stone or a masonry wall. I was told that was no problem and given a time and day someone would be out to give us quote. They came out on a different day and time. Fortunately someone was home. The estimator immediately said that railroad tie walls are illegal in Arlington. We had already checked with the city and that is not true. They emailed a quote for an expensive paver stone wall. We emailed back and left messages letting them know we were not interested in an expensive paver stone wall and railroad tie wall are not illegal in Arlington. Of course we never heard back from them.

+ 1 moreExcellent job. they actually performed the work on an earlier date than originally agreed which was great as I had a deadline. charged the agreed price which was a fair price. they actually replaced/fixed my patio that was done by another vendor. Their quality of work was excellent. they were professional and followed up with a call after the job to ensure satisfaction. they also came back out to replace a cracked paver as agreed (crack was not there fault, I went an acquired another one by choice). I would def recommend them and use their services again.

+ 2 moreThe job went terrific. Joe's people turned the job in 2 days. They removed and replaced a section of fence both days so that in the evening when they weren't there we could let the dog out without a leash. They cleaned not only their mess, but hauled off mine as well. I can't say enough good things about Joe Armijo and his crew. They are very efficient workers who are extremely pleasant to deal with. I will be bringing them back this fall to plant 8 more trees and three rose gardens with sprinklers.
Description of Work: They removed and replaced 4 trees, 9 bushes, leveled, filled and sodded an old vegetable garden, removed rockwork around old garden and flower beds, installed a 12' x 26' concrete patio and made a rock walkway between the patio and shed.

+ -1 moreExceptionally bad work, the area they replaced new grass is very uneven and rolling, the area they raised by around the back side of the pool has eroded away as they didn't build the it as agreed. a lot of money for nothing. I have photos, it looks bad!

+ 2 moreExcellent. After leaving several messages with two other highly rated companies and receiving no response, I called Groundscape Solutions. Julie called me back within 30 minutes. She worked me in the following Saturday for an estimate with Joe. Joe arrived on time--we discussed various options, he worked up an estimate that included several options. After considering it for a couple days I notified Groundscapes of what I would like done. Joe said they were about three weeks out which seemed pretty good since it was the height of the outdoor improvement season. A couple days before the expected date Joe called to set up the start of the project. I cannot say enough about how everyone on this job performed. The workers worked hard all day and were respectful of my property. The end product was excellent. And I will admit that I am not easy to please. Both Joe and Julie were great to work with. High quality, very professional. I highly recommend Groundscape Solutions.
Description of Work: Removed railroad ties retaining wall and built a stone wall in it's place. Built a flagstone sidewalk and decking.

GS followed natural lines to create proper drainage and secured with rock and concrete, and gave us a great finished look with shade tolerant sod. We are very pleased with the result.
Description of Work: Remove old shrubbery. Grade a 47' x 4' area along fence line, create drainage, install river rock, install barrier and sod.

+ -1 moreGroundscape employees always show up on the day scheduled. I receive a call the day before letting me know that they will be coming. My yard is always cleaned up the first time after they fertilize or trim. I don't have to worry that they are doing what they are supposed to. I can go to work without having to be home when they are working in my yard. Very honest and dependable!!
Description of Work: Groundscape has been taking care of fertilization, weed control and pest control for our lawn since 2004. They are always professional and responsive when I have a concern or question. I use an organic program on our lawn. I also have them trim our crape myrtles yearly. They are a little high on some prices, but I know the job will always be done in a timely fashion and correctly without a hassle or mess. It is worth the extra I pay at times.

We discussed the scope of work that I wanted to have done, and also the options of either pavers or poured/stamped/stained concrete. He took measurements, made calculations on-site, and provided an estimate all during our appointment. His bid was very comparable to others that I obtained. I appreciated the great customer service, but ultimately chose another provider to do the work.
