They were excellent. There were additional costs because we ended up getting almost a whole new garage. I've did some price comparisons and I was very pleased with what they gave me compared to what it would have cost if I had been going somewhere else. I was able to negotiate with them. That is why I was so pleased with them, because they kind of worked with me a little bit. The technician who came was knowledgeable and he explained things very well. I don't know a thing about garage doors, but he made it very understandable. Then he called his superior boss to hear if he could negotiate with me on the deal I was trying to get done and they did.

Initial installation of new garage door opener was in September 2013 and stopped working on 11/9/13 (possible defect-unsure)Technician James came to our home before time given which was nice but also we were not charged ANY fee, very trustworthy honest company. Not only that but he also paired my car with the garage opener when last technician had trouble. Very pleased with company for reasonable prices and both Technicians for hard work done. The technician, Louis, was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. Our garage door opener was very loud, and he said there wasn't a lot he could do about that. However he was able to make a few adjustments, and the door is much quieter now. Highly recommend.

We moved to Dallas in July, 2011. One of the "to do" items on our home improvement list was to replace the garage doors. On Friday morning the spring broke on the single door. At about 8:00 am we found Family Christian Doors on Angie's List. Joe, the gentleman who answered the phone couldn't have been more helpful. He asked questions and then was patient as we asked about different scenarios: fix the spring only; replace the doors and fix the spring; replace the doors and openers. We chose to replace doors and openers and asked how quickly we could get this done. At 2:00 pm that afternoon a crew arrived and installed doors and openers and finished the job by 5:30 pm. The foreman Pedro even configuered the systems in our cars for the openers. The work was correct, expedient and done by friendly and knowledgeable people. We will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Work was done under coupon. Even though I gave my preference for service option under the coupon, the representative was confused when he got here but luckily did have the keypad for replacing. In retrospect the keypad malfunction could probably have been resolved by just replacing the battery and I then could have used the coupon for other service, he did do the work and there has been no problem with it.

Everyone was helpful and professional! They helped us decide what type of door would best meet our needs, located a door in the area and set up a time to install that fit our schedules. They were punctual and quick to install; they took away all trash; they made sure that it was operational. We had a problem about a week later with the opener, and they returned quickly to remedy the situation - a quick and easy fix!

I called at 9am and work was finished by 10:30am. Tech was young, but very friendly, and seemed to know his job very well. Single spring system on garage door broke. Tech recommended double spring system with lifetime warranty and replaced all of the rollers. Garage door works great and is considerably more quiet now. Springs cost $300 and rollers were $89. Not sure if this is a good price, seems a little high, but I did not have time to shop around and wanted the work done quickly. I have never had work done on a garage door before, so I have no frame of reference on the price. There was no extra cost for labor $389.00 was final cost on invoice. I would highly recommend this company for speed and quality of service, but you may want to shop around and compare prices, if you have the time.

James was prompt, pleasant, professional and courteous. He explained what he was doing and why. And didn't do unnecessary work. For example he said the opener wasn't strong enough for the size door but with the tune up and roller replacement he thought the opener would work fine for several more years. He was right. I recommend this company and would use them again.

Troy did an excellent job. The doors are like new and I would have no hesitation in recommending Family Christian Doors to anyone. I would recommend to FCD that they have an alternate package with an 11 point check and a strut for the door instead of rollers. Since there are 10 rollers on each door I think that 10 of the points in the 21 point check are for the rollers. I think lubing of the existing rollers may have been sufficient. This is not a complaint. The only complaint I have is with Angie's List. They sent me an email asking to confirm a review I had done at the completion of the work. They have an entry on their page which asks about possible improvements but only allow a few words. I hit carriage return to get a new line and they assumed I had submitted my confirmation. As a result I had to reenter my review here. I do not consider that my confirmation of the review was complete.

It worked out fine. They did what they agreed to. They tried to point out other things that needed to be fixed, so I got feedback on that. They completed the work that was agreed to just fine.

I was ready to hear "You need an new door and opener". The guys, inspected, cleaned, made adjustments and replace rollers. Doors are running smooth and quiet. Thanks

Very good. Seemed a little expensive in the end, but they did give me an estimate and I agreed to their services.

They did a very good job. I bought a 99.00 door tune up. Ended up doing some needed work (see above). The reason for the 'B' for the price is because the price originally quoted to do this work was very high. When I didn't want to do it... the worker called the office and quoted a fair price. The worker was nice & professional. I would use again but would depend on the price.

Quick contact. Service person very personable and knowlagable. He did not have part needed but set a time to return and was here as planned. Let me joke with him and put up with me. He did more than the contracted amount for only the cost of the new part. He did joke that the cost was $6,000. for listening to my jokes. I would use them again, refer them and ask for the same service person again.

On time and professional. Also lubricated the spring, which substantially reduced the noise of operation.

I have used this company to install two garage doors and they did an excellent job. I was not sure what was wrong with the garage door, so I called them out. As it turned out all was needed was to stabilize the electric eye. He did the maintenance work while he was here. Very good job

Last night my garage door broke so I could not get it opened and I could not go to work this morning but they are fixing it and so far it has been great. When I called them at 8.30 on a Sunday night somebody answered the phone since they had said that they provide 24 hours service. So when I described what was wrong with my door, he understood exactly what I said. He promised to send somebody out here between 8 and 10 this morning. A young man called me at quarter to 9 and informed that he was on his way and that he would be here in 30 minutes, which he was. He gave me a quote first and he had brought all the stuff that was needed so when I gave him permission to proceed with the work he started on it and I can get to work though I missed half a day. Price wise when I told my husband the price he was delighted because he thought it would be a lot more. What he done so far has been wonderful.

Pleasant experience from first phone call to final installation and service. Our technician was Ricky. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. We will definitely recommend Family Christian Doors to all our family and friends.

The job was very well done Ina timely fashion. More work than was covered by the special deal was needed and was done for a very reasonable fee. All the work performed was excellent!

The serviceman was prompt, courteous and professional....and very determined. He tried everything possible to get the keypad and remotes to work with my system, but it is just too old. The frequency ranges currently available do not seem to match up with the frequency ranges of the system. A full refund has been requested through Angie's list and the provider has already confirmed in writing that I will be receiving a full refund, however, I have not yet seen the actual credit on my credit card statement. I am following up on this refund through Angie's list. I would definitely recommend their services to any Angie's list member, as well as to all of my friends.

While he was there he showed me how to lubricate the hardware and told me what material to use, where to buy it and how often to do the maintenance. Even though it wasn't included in the original agreement (I only wanted one door worked on), he also lubricated the second door. We had set up a window of time of 10:00 AM to noon. A few minutes before noon he called me to say he was running late at another customer. He arrived about 15 minutes later. He was very pleasant and personable. I would certainly use them again.

Garage door repair went well. There was a pressure to upsell, and we did buy an extra service not included in the tune-up.

Service person was very professional and he easy to talk to. No pressure or sales pitch, he just pointed out potential issues with my garage door spring. Having had one break at another house, I felt it better to have Family Christian Doors go ahead and replace the springs and lubricate the hinges. Service person gave sound advice and there was a discount for the preventative maintenance since he was already there.
