The technician, Steven called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. Once he arrived, he performed the Angie's List Pre-paid Tuneup ($24.00), which included lubrication, balancing, spacing, tightening of bolts, checked limits and checked force. He inspected & found 2 hinges broken & recommended replacing them. We also discussed the wear and aging of the metal rollers, so I authorized him to replace these with nylon rollers. My remote had been an issue with another garage door company, where I had bought a new one about 14 months ago, but had the batteries replaced 3 times and the remote replaced twice. After Steven's thorough explanation that it was a remote issue, he upgraded from a Genie to a Liftmaster Universal Remote. Steven was very courteous, profession and explained everything in detail. He was able to answer all my questions, including a few pointers to help me in checking for problems and/or normal maintenance. After the repairs, it sounds like a new garage door! It is so-o-o quiet!! Great job, Steven!! I highly recommend Family Christian Doors for my neighbors!!

The provider called ahead and arrived as expected. It was a young man who showed up. He was energetic and was clear talking of the work that was supposed to be performed. He started by taking a look of the whole garage door parts and operation. After he was done, he pointed out that the left lift cable showed signs of fraying due to age and needed to be replaced. The right lift cable was still in O.K. shape. Still, both should be replaced as this was a proper way to do so even if the right cable looked to be O.K. But, since they (left and right cables) were supposedly installed at the same time or when there is no record of when each was installed. I totally agreed with his statement. He laid out all the cost and time that would be involved. He also found the garage door chain was loose and wasn't engaging properly upon opening and closing which has been causing unnecessary wear and making excessive noise during lifting and making loud slamming sound of the door upon closing. The chain was adjusted to proper tension. Now, my garage door is operating just like when it was new. It is operating so quietly I couldn't hear the sound of it opening and closing when I am inside the house or in the car. I am totally impressed by the work this "young man" has done.

It couldn't have gone any better. The technician worked throughly, quickly and was super nice, professional and friendly.

For over 20 years, the only company we will use for all of our garage door openers repair, replacement, tune-ups, etc. is Family Christian Doors. Each individual that has provided service has been professional, courteous, respectful and very friendly. Every time we have called Family Christian Doors, they send a technician that same day - and usually within an hour or so.

I scheduled them to arrive between 10am and Noon. By 12:15 I still had not heard anything so i called and they had someone here within 45 minutes. I had an old garage door that was occasionally giving me troubles. they came out and did an inspection and offered me a very reasonable price to replace the springs and casters, something I knew was going to need to be done. So other than being a little late getting here, this is a good company and i'd use them again.

It went extremely well. They were very nice from initial contact by office staff untill completion of garage door services and improvements.

The repairmen were very kind and sympathetic. They were prompt, helpful and kind. they were also clean and removed the old garage door for me. I would definately use this companyagain. Not a single problem or regret.

As of 4/28/15 at 11:58 AM I have not received a return phone call. I don't understand how this company can be an A Rated provider? I consider this poor customer service. I called another company and scheduled the service call, which is how it should be.

The doors hadn't been greased in over three years and it showed. The door is old (he recommended saving up for a replacement), and it's still kind of creaky, but it is better. With the new rollers, it's a pretty good deal. He couldn't promise a fix for the safety lights within the $99 special, but he was able to solve it for me in the end just by getting the tracks lined up a bit better so that they wouldn't bump the lights when moving. One odd point -- there was rope on the door (to help pull it manually when needed) that I thought might have been causing the problem with the lights. I fiddled with it a bit and it didn't work. So he just cut the rope. I don't mind losing that rope, but it was odd that he didn't at least ask me first.

Did the tune-up. Inspected for any issues and provided good suggestions how they can be maintained better.

Excellent! Will definitely use again. Showed up on time, thorough and professional, very helpful providing maintenance tips and suggestions. New door works very well and we're very pleased with the workmanship.

Vinnie responded immediately. He offered options @ several cost levels, designs and colors. His install team they were polite and worked quickly. They cleaned up after the job and my wife and I were very pleased with the work.

After a freak accident, our garage door was mangled and wouldn't operate. I called Family Christian Doors and they immediately sent over a technician. Chad was very knowledgable and patient explaining our different options. The crew came within two hours to replace our door, rails and springs. They cleaned up after themselves and the door is working nicely. This is our second time to use FCD. The first time was for an automatic opener repair and they did a wonderful job.

The whole process took less than 2 hours and we now have a very quite door. We still have the sensor problem and are still looking for a solution!

The young man that came was nice. Explained the problem that I was having, that made me think a tune up was needed. After looking at the garage door and all the parts made some recomendations, he showed me what he was talking about. He explained that the wear on the parts wasn't critical at this time. He replaced the safety eyes, springs, rollers and tuned up the door. He also cut down a drane line, that was put in for the hot water heater over flow, that the garage door was hitting so that it wouldn't damage the door further. He reprogrammed the keypad for me, new house, for the garage. He had to tighten up some of the screws holding the track. He cleaned up his mess and everything that he had to move, to do the work, was put back where he got it from. Overall, I felt that he did a fine job and the company was promt to respond to my request for service. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Had several issues he recommened for repair but did not press.I noted and he left.
