Door had been operating erratically and not closing properly. Nathan found the problems quickly and made necessary repairs/adjustments. He advised that the springs on the door are the wrong size and should be replaced for safety. He was very patient to explain what we need to do and why. He left a detailed recommendation and cost of work to be done. We will definitely have him back to do the work.

Zak called ahead like they said he would so i'd be ready. When i opened the front door, he was very personable in introducing himself. Drove around back to the garage. He did a good once-over inspection, testing the up/down force, where it stopped, etc. He unhooked the opener to independently test the movement of the door up and down, the balance at various points. He then greased the opener screw system, the hinges and the wheels. We discussed some of the aging parts (main spring) and the eventual estimated cost to replace. Same with the wheels, although they were not as old. I was expecting more upsale push, and was pleased when it turned out to be more of an evaluative consultation than an opportunity for a hard sell. Zak is a personable young man and a good representative for Family Christian Doors. When it comes time for work to be done, they will be the first ones I call (i always get at least two estimates just to be cautious), but if they are reasonably competitive, they will get the nod.

He made some slight adjustments but nothing major as the door was operating fine. I wanted an inspection mainly as I just bought this used house. He gave me a quote and recommendations for the future should I want to improve it's performance. Did not push anything on me, polite, professional, on time...good experience.

They replaced one of my two garage door. I opted for a plain door--no windows as it would have taken weeks to get it. Two men,. whose English was quite limited, installed it in about an hour. When they started my opener worked just fine. When they finished my opener made a very loud grinding noise when retracting the door. It made this noise even when the door was unattached to it. I'm sure they screwed it up somehow but I can't prove it. I called and complained and they sent someone out who inspected and denied any responsibility for its malfunction. I had asked for the same guy to come out who had made the initial call and I placed the order with as he had first hand knowledge that the opener worked just fine. I"m very unhappy with their lack of willingness to take any responsibility. I hired someone else to install a new opener. I'm not going to use them for anything ever again.

Very pleased with entire transaction. Called after 6:00 p.m. with a door that wouldn't shut, never dreaming someone would come tonight. Very professional, pleasant repair person. Fixed up all the workings and charged a very reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this company.

I purchased two services from Family Christian Door for my house and the house next door to me that I am getting ready to sell. They called right away and set a date that worked great for me. Zach arrived early which was wonderful for me. My own house garage door is working great again. The house next door was serviced as well. And Zach left for the day. An hour later I noticed the garage door was open next door which I knew was closed before. Called Family Christian Door back after I remembered the garage door had service early last year for the same problem. Zach called and came back out. Figured out the motor wiring was old and not working as well as it should. I decided to get get a new motor. Zach had one on hand and replace quickly and now I don't have to worry about the possessed garage door opening all on its own. ach was very professional and explained everything in detail. I will use Family Christian Door again for my garage door repairs and service.

Tightened all all garage door screws, adjusted chain fitting, lubricated moving parts. Pointed out potential problems regarding the garage door opener. Very knowledgeable.

This is the first time I used this company and was completely satisfied. They arrived at the appointed time, explained everything concerning the door.

It was okay. I had to pay more. They talked us into more. It was $400 more. It was bait and switch kind of a thing. The real purpose is, they want to come out there and sell you something else. They sold us things that I do think we maybe needed, but probably in the future. It was springs and rollers. They did good.

The job went fine, the technician fixed my garage door by lubricating all the moving parts and fixing the tension. The only reason I gave a "c" for professionalism is because he was pretty insistent about trying to sell additional services that I didn't need, even going so far to warn about my garage door collapsing on my cars. I thought this was overkill and totally unnecessary.....and annoying. All that said, it was a good value for $24.

I would never use or recommend this company to anyone. My problem: I could only close the garage door by holding the wall button in until the door was all the way down; my key fob would not work. The technician changed the door sensors and the problem continued. He told me the problem was probably inside the overhead chain drive operator, either a bad circuit board or capacitor. Furthermore, the system was old and it should be replaced. I was also advised that I needed 2 new springs and a new strut for support and the combined cost of these recommended repairs would be $600. I told the technician to take off the new sensors and put the old ones back on. I also told him that I would be getting additional estimates for what needed to be done. To add insult to injury, he left the garage door chain pull disengaged- I couldn?t close or open the door- and he drove off and left it this way. He came back to re-engage the chain pull a half hour later with his apologies. Another repair company came a week later. The problem was with the photocell sensor wires going from the sensors to the wall; the wires were bad and were replaced and this fixed my problem. A complete system inspection and diagnosis was done with several other minor repairs which cost me $127.50 and my system is now good as new.

I could not be more pleased with FGD. From the call through the completion of the work, my issue was handled expeditiously and professionally. The entire process could not have been performed better on as painlessly. I appreciate there good efforts and highly recommend them.

My garage door was all crooked and wouldn't close-- the chain fell off the pulley and the truck was bent. This was a great experience my garage door was fixed very quickly they didn't charge any sort of weekend fee like some of the other places wanted to charge an extra $40 for coming out on the weekend . I was even able to use a coupon. Zack perform the repair and if you're lucky enough for him to show up you'll be very happy. They even left a sticker by the garage door opener which I would normally take down and throw away but I'm gonna leave it up in case I need these guys to show up again.

These guys were great and highly recommended. My garage door motor was dead and would hit a pressure threshold because it was fighting against itself. Called them and same day they were put, gave me a full breakdown of what needed to be replaced now and have condition updates for the other pieces. Christopher was our installer and was awesome! Answered all my question, installed, and tuned the entire system. He also took time to give me some understanding of my options for new garage doors. Price wise, I believe I paid $25 more than lowes for the same unit and install...but didn't have to wait 2 weeks and the job was done now and well worth it! Great company, even better installer...100% recommended!
