Family Christian Doors

They notified me that my garage door and motor were from the original house. We thought they were honest in their consultation and will be using them to install a new garage door and motor.

We liked the doors they installed. They were easy to work with.

We flunked our inspection due to doors so they took the time to go down to the city for us to have the city explain it to them directly what they needed, instead of us going down and trying to translate, because we didn’t know the technical aspects of it all. A person from their company went down to the city and got our doors to standards so that we could pass our inspection. They were really professional. It was $5500 for the doors. They custom built it in their shop. They were really nice. We had issues, the inspector came out and flunked us again, and the person from Family Christian Doors, went back to the city and told them that he did everything according to the specifications he wanted. So they came back out and the guy came out on-site with the inspector and said he would not leave, he would make any changes on the spot that the inspector wanted, so that we could pass our inspection. He went to the city twice; he came back out and stayed until the inspection was over. He made sure he made all the changes the inspector wanted right then, he didn’t make us wait.

Because of the age of the system needed a new system installed. The job took @ 2.5 hours. Very satisfied with the service. Highly recommend this company to anyone.

drive openedI had a broken garage door and a burnt out garage door opener. I sent an email Tuesday night, got an email back from them the very next morning. I explained my situation that I wanted to get the door fixed, and I would have another company installing a garage door opened that weekend. He explained to me the procedure, and that they too sell openers, and was willing to beat what quote I had from Sears. I agreed,they were out there the next day on time, had the broken garage door repaired, and the garage door opened installed in less than 2 hours. The tech showed me how everything worked, answered all my questions, and I have been very satisfied with the job they did. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family, or anyone looking for solutions to any garage door issues.In addition to all of this, the fact that their religious beliefs are advertised and practiced, you cant go wrong working with this company.

The telephone representative provided me information concerning my options and was helpful in assisting me in selecting a replacement door and assembly. The installer was punctual, professional,and competent. He was efficient and completed the total job in one afternoon. All of the old materials were hauled away and all mess cleaned up. Instructions concerning use and care of the new door were provided. The new door looks good and works very well. We are quite satisfied and feel that we got good value for our money.

We accidentally backed into the garage door at my mother's house, severely denting it. We had used Family Christian before to replace a broken spring on our door, and I already knew of their excellent service. We called them, and a technician came out that same day, did the estimate for replacing the door and other needed maintenance work, and completed it, all in one day! The technician was very friendly, told us everything he was going to do, and did it clean and quick.

We began this project by searching for a high quality insulated door. Our efforts resulted in spending time on the Amarr door webpage and when we settled on a door, we began the search to find where we could see/touch/feel/experience it. From the Amarr website, we found Family Christian Doors. Once we contacted them, everything else happened in our home. They sent someone out to take measurements, bring sample door material to help us decide exactly which model to choose and sat with us to answer ALL of our questions and to explain the work that would be done. Once we came to agreement, we placed our order, provided a deposit and waited a week for the door to be shipped (we were told this could take up to two weeks). Family Christian Doors gave us notice the door was in and we set a date for later that week. This process went very smoothly and there were no surprises!

They scheduled it and came out quickly. They answered all of my questions. They installed it as they said they would and everything is working fine with it. I would definitely recommend them to others.

Wonderful service. Quick, clean, and professional. Did complete job in a little over an hour and came back a week later and replaced garage door seal (they had to order it). Would hire these guys again in a heartbeat and will for front door replacement.

I was very thankful that the were able to help me over the phone so they wouldn't need to send a technician. Our door kept bouncing so it would open and close. I called them and described the problem. They asked a couple of questions and then gave me a few options. They said the track may have shifted so it was interfering with the safety beam. I called them back again when they talked me through setting the beams. They could have sent someone out and charged me to do the same thing but instead they took the time to help me over the phone. I would definitely go to them again if any other problems arise.

I submitted a report earlier that company did not furnish owners guide so I could change codes for opener. I received a call shortly after the report was sent and informed me that a guide would be sent. I received it 2 days later in the mail. The company handled repairs promptly and I would use them again.

I looked up their name on angie's list and called. they scheduled to come out within a couple of days and they did come out on time. I remember that they scheduled to fix our solar panel for the driveway gate within a week.

Christian brothers had fixed our iron gate twice before and it still wasn't working properly. They finally fixed it by moving the solar panel to get more sun and this appears to have fixed the problem.

We purchased a new, custom home in December, 2009. The builder did not provide a garage door opener for the third garage, so I contacted Brandon to give me an estimate. While he looked at the door, he also told me the 2-garage door was installed improperly, and he could fix it for me. He said if I left it that way, it would come apart in no time - the builder said he is part owner in the #1 selling garage door business in the DFW Metroplex, hmmmmmmm. Then I had Brandon install a custom automatic gate for our driveway, and a portion of wrought iron fence. A year later the entry gate into the yard was sticking so I called Brandon and he immediately sent out two technicians to fix the issue with no charge. I wouldn't use anyone else for gates, fences or garage doors than FCD. You can trust and depend on them!

We have used Family Christian Doors more than once. The first time we called someone else and they came out and gave us an estimate of $600 saying we needed new springs. We called FCDoors and he came and fixed the reset button for less than $100. The last time our door would not open. We were leaving on vacation the next day and thought it wouldn't get fixed until we returned. It was late afternoon when I called. They were at our house in less than an hour. He located the problem and came back the next morning early so it would be fixed before we left. I don't remember how much it was but thought it was reasonable. Would recommend them anytime.

Existing very heavy old oversize double garage door has been problematic for years. It has required regular replacement of broken springs, and even with working springs, it was heavy, awkward, and put lots of stress on the automatic garage door opener. Family Christian Doors diagnosed the problem. The currently available stock springs, are designed to operate with current metal doors. Apparently, other repair people in past had put these "available" springs on the old heavy wood door. When these types of springs were overstressed when torqued to settings to try to raise the overweight door. Overstressed which would lead to early spring breakage failures and extra stress on the opener has in past led to automatic opener problems. Two solutions were presented. 1. Have custom heavy duty springs made to handle the wood door weight, (I think the cost was about $550.00) 2. Replace the door with current model door Since the old door was not insulated, awkward, and a significant source of stress to the automatic door opener, I decided to put the repair money into a new heavy duty insulated door that has better technology and commercial grade springs, hardware, rollers, and tracks. Long term durability is important to me. Also, the new insulated door made a very noticeable improvement in the temperature in the garage. good job. good quality materials. They did what they said they would do, a few days faster than the original estimate. I would use them again.
