T&S Paint Company

A picture is worth a thousand words - we've included photos of all 3 large walls, plus the text received from Tommy O'Donnell. The first day of the job, the crew started work in the morning. They left for lunch and my wife took a look at the walls while they were away since she works from home. She was surprised to see bubbles over many different areas, but assumed the walls would be fixed by the crew when they returned. The crew came back to finish the job while my wife was in her office working. When they were ready to leave and told her they were finished, she was shocked to see that all the bubbled areas were not repaired, but just textured over, leaving the obviously visible bubbles. I called Tommy and let him know about the problem with the walls. I showed him the scratches that his crew had left even though they did cover our new wood laminate floor and asked him to make sure they were more careful next time. He did not believe his crew was responsible and we let it go, even though we are sure the scratches were not there prior. His crew attempted to fix all the bubbled areas and retexture the areas. Even after the 2nd days work, we found more bubbles in the wall and areas which were obviously poorly textured. This time, Tommy came out and worked on the walls for a few hours himself, attempting to fix more bubbled areas and texture issues. He was very friendly during every one of our visits and even though the walls didn't look great to us, we believed and trusted that they would look better once they were primed and painted (Tommy even told us we wouldn't be able to tell until the walls were painted with a topcoat). The job was finished in December, right before the holidays. We were busy traveling and working full time, so it took us a few months to prime and then paint the walls. We used flat paint after seeing how poor the walls looked after being primed, hoping the flat paint would hide the flaws. We were dismayed to find that the walls did not live up to our expectations even after painting with the dreaded 'flat' paint. The texturing was not nearly as nice as the other walls in our house and the areas that had been taped were showing - both vertical and horizontal lines. We were unhappy with our new room, but were in a dilemma as to what to do about the walls. We did not believe Tommy and his crew had the ability to fix the walls. We were also not 100% sure that we were not being too picky, so we hesitated while trying to decide what to do about them. We didn't contact Tommy until we checked with another paint company, While Lion Painting, and they confirmed that the job was poorly done and that they could fix the walls for us. We then contacted Tommy O'Donnell on April 30th, and sent him photos of the walls, letting him know how unhappy we were and that we were planning to have the walls redone. We suggested he come by and see the walls before we had them redone. He did not come to view his work after we painted it. His response to our photos and complaints, was that we waited too long (the job was finished in December - we contacted him April 30th). Tommy did offer to purchase primer and paint since we had wasted our money purchasing primer and paint for walls that had to be redone. A few cans of paint are of little consolation to us, since besides the cost of our primer and paint we that we purchase, we had paid Tommy $500 for the poorly done job, and wasted many hours of our own time priming and painting our very large living room. The listing for T&S Paint Company had note that the work was guaranteed, but I no longer see that guaranteed- he has since removed that from his ad. At the time of this review, we have not received any type of a refund towards the poorly done job or towards the paint. We hired another company from Angie's list to redo the floating and texturing of the work for $600 and the work is like night and day - we would never have accepted the work done by T&S in the first place if we realized what a decent texturing job should look like.

Tommy does an excellent job in a timely manner. We have used him several years for both interior and exterior painting. He has repaired drywall damage for us in several rooms- also excellent results.

Tommy and his team started work at 08:30 on 2/18/13 and did an outstanding job of covering our new kitchen cabinets, countertops, and flooring. Once the area was protected, the popcorn ceiling was removed, drywall installed, taped, mud, texture and paint applied. Tommy ensured the area was cleaned at the end of each day. The work was completed at approximately 12:00 (noon) on 2/20/13. Paint and materials were included in the contracted price.

I bought a new home and needed the interior painted. I also wanted to have the exterior of my existing home, it is going to be a rental for me, painted. Tommy gave me bids on both homes. It was $3000.00 for both homes together. He showed up every morning on time and worked a full day. He cleaned up his work (old paint scraped) everyday. The exterior on my existing home looks great. I wanted a lighter shade of brown and he was great at helping pick the color. The interior of my new home looks fantastic. I had one overall color for my entire house. 2 kids rooms were the exception, one pink and one green. The paint on the exterior house house took 4 days total. The interior on my new home was 3 days. Overall, Tommy is efficient, great priced, and does a great job. I will definitely use him again for future jobs.P
