FLOORS AND DOORS

Installation was apparently ok. But doors were painted without holes being filled in and without being sanded or primed. Owner said he thought the job was fine. Insisted no one else had ever complained. He also said he didn't take credit card but I see now on his web site that he actually does. I ended up stopping my check to him and paying a few hundred dollars less than originally billed. However his work made the job harder for the carpenter who finally properly refinished the doors and more expensive for me. This business was shamefully recommended by Randy at Seconds and Surplus.

searched Angie's list for a reliable person to replace some doors at my house. I called and spoke t o the owner, took pictures of my job and emailed him the photos. He said he would look at them , and get back to me with an estimate and I am still waiting to hear a word from him over a month later. If this is how the owner treats potential clients, I am not sure how he even made it to Angie's list. This was a very disappointing experience.

He did a good job overall. We had to rebuild a little bit of work on the door because of the space it would have gone into but he did a good job. I would recommend them. I?'ve thought about putting flooring in my living room by them.

Initially called Gary and described what I needed & he was very helpful offering places to shop for new doors. After purchasing doors he personally went to locations and picked doors up and delivered on installation date. Then after a full day installing two doors since I live in an older home, modifications were required that had not been anticipated. Then he came back on a Saturday to finish final door which again required extra work due to improper installation by last contractor. Gary not only performed extra work required, made special trips to Home Depot, but stayed within his original quoted price. He even stayed late to allow us time to check his work, clean up the site, and insure all was right with the job. Gary aims to please and with proper communication he will address your concerns and exceed your expectations. I would highly recommend his services. Hope he offers door tune-up specials down the road!!

The week of 11/15/10 I contacted Floors and Doors and requested an estimate on the installation of three pocket doors. The person I spoke with tentatively scheduled an appointment on Friday, 11/19/10; however, they told me they had an appointment in Plano and may have to reschedule. I was okay with that and expected that if they were unable to come that they would call and reschedule. Unfortunately, they didn't show-up, didn't call, and never resceduled. After waiting a week to be contacted I decided to look for another company. No one likes their time wasted, but I was fortunate that this company showed me how they operate BEFORE I wasted my money!

Home Depot insisted on a custom order sliding door for my somewhat-off rough opening size, but Gary managed to fit a much cheaper standard sized door. It has held up well over the past year and a half and Gary saved me hundreds of dollars since I didn't have to order a custom door. He was prompt and professional as well.
