Classic Tile & Plaster

We hired Classic to do a pool remodel, plaster and deck redo. We scheduled the project 6 weeks in advance. Even accounting for weather delays, Classic did not contact us, when we called them on the scheduled start date we were told we had to wait a week because of weather delays. After one week we contacted Classic again and were told they would be out on a Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, no contact from Classic. We stayed home from work to wait for them! After multiple calls to Jacob, Classic finally showed up late the following date to start work. From then on it was delay after delay. We were constantly chasing Classic to come and finish our pool. Seth, the project foreman came to our house once after we had lost our tempers. They broke out tiles in our pool and even after assuring us that they would save them to replaster them, they lost them. 2 of the 3 have been replaced with tiles that do not remotely look like the ones that were lost. 1 tile is still missing. They broke brick coping on the pool deck and it has not been repaired or replaced. They did not cover anything on my patio with any type of tarp. I have cement stains on my brick patio that will not come out, from the concrete dust mixing with water. There were pebbles EVERYWHERE. After 6 weeks, our pool remodel is still not completed. There is no sense of professionalism on anyone's part at Classic. Calls were not returned, people didn't show up - complete lack of courtesy. I would NEVER recommend Classic to anyone.

They did not consider the time of the year (summer) so I had plaster cracking issues on the top two steps of my pool. They needed to find another hose or two and fill up the pool faster. They did come redo the work, but it was a significant inconvenience that could have been avoided with a little more care. This is what happens when you get too big. I would not use Classic again to do my pool.

Classic did an excellent job on remodeling our water feature, they listened to our ideas and were able to produce exactly what we wanted. We are also extremely pleased with pebble tec replastering. Classic also updated our equipment and our pump was updated to a more energy efficient model. Everything was clearly explained and set up how we wanted the system to run. We had a few minor things that needed repairs after completion and they have been prompt to return and complete the job. The crews are classic's employees and they were very courteous and did excellent work.

It was good. It was a good company trying to do the best they can. They do better than average work. They did a lot of efforts to make the customer satisfied and adjusted accordingly.

The quote was too high so I went with my own guy.

Their punctuality was good and professionalism was good, everything was alright. They had to call a couple of times for punctuality.

I found this company through the pebbletec web site and contacted them for an estimate. They came out, measured the pool and gave me a quote on the spot. I went and looked at a pool they had done and loved the color. My job took about a week and went very smoothly.

Overall, good--had a couple of communication issues, but once that was over come they delivered as promised.

I needed to have my pool re-surfaced and called on Classic. They came out to give me a estimate on saturday, but said because the pool was a combination of fiberglass and concrete he had never come across this combination. He told me he would go back to the office and get with the other reps and would send me an e-mail with recommendations on monday. This was a month ago and I have not heard back from them.

Very responsive and honest with bid

They did a very good job. I have no complaints with them. The only complaint I had with them that it was hard to get them out here. Once they started the work, it went really well.

They were short on the phone. They did not offer a referral.

There were some weather related problems that arose during the plaster job, which wasn't their fault. They completely replaced the plaster at no extra cost. They were very willing to make it right. I was pleased with the end result.

Estimator was easy to work with, recommended replace vs repair. Price was reasonable for work quoted but significantly higher than chosen contractor who recommended repair vs replace. Did not hire but would consider using again.

Great, on time and on price. The clean up and aftercare was also excellent.

They found more problems than I knew I had and it was more work than I expected. They were here pretty quick. They had sent two guys and they were here the whole day on the job. I had some water leaking through the wall of the spa and that is fixed.

Nice guy to work w/ on estimate. Very experienced w/ customers needs & concerns. I think he subs out the actual work to good help.Two guys showed up on time. Worked until dark each day. Willing to accept changes in tile work as job proceeded. When job was complete, they came back out to cover all aspects of keeping the surface nice. Iv'e always lived in houses w/ pools. Seen alot of work & repair jobs over the years... these guys did a nice job and were reasonable. Not the cheapest or the highest. But nice work for the money.

They did a good job. They were very competent. They got the job done when they said they would. It was a big job for a big pool. They replaced an underwater light, as well.

Contact person was knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions and price concerns; Work started as scheduled and was done quickly and efficiently with excellent clean up and attention to detail. Product was as good or better than promised. Colors worked great. New stones put along edge of pool nearly matched original ones around spa. Couldn't have been happier and would highly recommend them (and have) to my closest friends and associates.

Fantastic. Very professional sales person, job site was immaculate. They came when they said they would, they did exactly what they said they would. They clearly do this day in and day out, and we had complete confidence in their operation. We had plenty of references and went to see a couple of pools to select the colors we wanted. Great experience.

He drained the pool and sandblasted it, then they had to chip the old plaster away from the tile. They put a bond coat on the plaster and then replastered it. With the deck, they cleaned it and applied a coating of I can't remember what it was, and they put a texture and color coat on the deck.

We were very pleased. They started and stopped when they said they would. The work was detailed and done very well. The pool looks fantastic and the disruption to our lives was minimal.

Eric came out within 2 days for our free estimate which he left with me after 30 minutes of analyzing the needed repairs. Once we decided to proceed, the 5 day job was scheduled and completed within 3 weeks. They came in and worked 5 days straight too, no work here and work there. I received a call each afternoon reminding me of exactly what they were going to work on the following day. Cleanup was superb and I was throughly satisfied.
