Description of Work: The sales rep Julio came out to set up the estimate and was very fair and professional in appraising the needs for re-plaster of our pool. We had pieces chipping off and ugly brown/yellow staining in the old plaster. Julio quickly provided follow-up and documents to sign and a date was set up quickly to perform the work. Seth came out to evaluate the site and set up pump to empty the pool to our sewer line drain p-trap. Work was started a few days late due to weather and crews behind on prior job, but foreman Gilbert was prompt with an apology and job was completed quickly once started. Some tiles were chipped during the removal of some of the old plaster, but Gilbert worked to find matching replacements and all tiles were replaced to perfect match and condition at no charge. After final payment and pool fill I found a single tile that was not grouted and Gilbert followed up quickly and had someone out to fix. The finished result was a very nice and smooth plaster that looked perfect. The instructions on pool startup were clear and we followed without using a service which all went smoothly. The area left behind was clean and in good condition. Overall excellent experience and we're very happy with the finished product. Have recommended them to several friends who need plaster work done on their pool.

Description of Work: We bought a new house in 2012, and the diving pool (plaster) had just been resurfaced by Classic Tile and Plaster by the previous homeowners. Late in the summer of 2013 (less than 18 months after the resurfacing), we began noticing pieces of plaster on the bottom of the pool in the shallow end. A few weeks later, the delaminated area (hole in the plaster) was about the size of an dollar bill. | |We asked the previous homeowners, and they talked to the actual installer (they knew him). He said he'd look into it and get back to us, but we never heard anything. We contacted Classic Tile and Plaster 3 or 4 times over the next several months, and each time we were told that we were "on the list" and that someone would be out when they "had time". Needless to say, nobody ever showed up, we were never contacted, and we were tired of trying at that point. | |The pool company that handles our typical repairs (pump/filters/electrical work) said that the delamination and discoloration in other areas were indications that the installation was not done correctly or that the plaster was mixed incorrectly. | |Long story short, we went with another company (Startex Pools) and got our pool resurfaced with a quartz finish, and we are very pleased with the results. Based on our experience, I would never recommend choosing Classic Tile and Plaster for plaster resurfacing. Looking through other reviews here on Angie's List, my opinion is that this company typically does good work, but when things go wrong, they make themselves scarce. | |I really don't like leaving negative reviews online, but this company refusing to stand by its work cost us thousands of dollars and lots of headaches.

Description of Work: I had 4 estimates to have my pool resurfaced, tile and coping replaced . Jerry Reynolds, the salesman from Classic Pools was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. He had three pages of people to contact for references, with phone numbers. We were considering pebble sheen and he had several customers we could go to see their pools with this surface, which was very helpful in making our decision. We talked with the customers and they highly recommended Classic Pools. We had Classic Pools resurface, replace tile, and remove and replace coping with flag stone. Work was started in November, and due to rain and cold temperatures there were a few days delay, not due to their fault. Entire project took seven days. The several crews were polite, did excellent work, and were careful to clean up after themselves. We are very happy with our new pool. We are so happy we choose Pebble Sheen, the look is dramatic, and although more expensive, is said to last twenty years.I spoke with a person who had Pebble Tec done 16 years ago, and he said it still looks brand new! The tile and coping are everything we hoped for. Seth contacted us from the beginning and daily to let us know what would be done. Seth went above and beyond with taking all my calls with questions, and coming by to review progress. We were very happy with the service and results from Classic Pools and would recommend them to family and friends.

Description of Work: Classic Tile re-plastered my 180 foot in-ground swimming pool.

Description of Work: I had them tile a walkway that went around my entire pool area. I have a square shaped pool that is 10,000 gallons. They also did some plastering around the pool and installed a new concrete style deck. The deck is about 18 x 12.

Description of Work: HAD OUR POOL RE-PLASTERED WITH A PEBBLE TEC FINISH. THIS ENTIRE PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 4 DAYS. CLASSIC ALSO DID A VERY NICE CLEAN UP JOB, I HAD NO YARD OR POOL AREA MESS. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES WITH POOL WORK TELLS ME THAT A VERY NICE CLEAN UP IS UNUSUAL.

Description of Work: RESPONDED TO A WARRANTY PROBLEM WITH A TWO-YEAR OLD POOL PLASTER JOB. IN ORDER TO PROPERLY CORRECT A SMALL CRACK IN THE 'ARMORCOAT' PLASTER ON OUR POOL (WHICH WAS DONE BY CLASSIC TILE & PLASTER TWO YEARS AGO), THEY COMPLETELY REMOVED THE PLASTER FROM THE ENTIRE POOL AND RE-PLASTERED THE POOL WITH NEW 'ARMORCOAT.' ALTHOUGH, I EXPECTED THAT ONLY THE CRACKED AREA WOULD BE PATCHED, I WAS SURPRISED AT THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY CLASSIC TILE & PLASTER. IN MY VIEW THEY CLEARLY WENT 'ABOVE AND BEYOND' ANY REASONABLE EXPECTATION.
