My experience with Allied Outdoor was not great. My wife & I had them install some turf & concrete pavers in our backyard. The team that came out to estimate the job originally was confident that their team could do certain work for us, however once their operational team leader came out to review the work, he said that the work we wanted to do could likely kill the tree in our backyard. We changed the scope of work based on that feedback, and it is what it is. We appreciate that this fact came to light before the job started, but the estimator should have known better than to try and sell us more than what was really possible. Once we paid our money, it was hard to get our job on the schedule. The communication could have been better on this front. And once the job was done, we uncovered that their team had cut an electrical line in our sprinkler system. It cost us $1K to fix, and started communicating with their team to get consideration for the issue. They said that this damage is not covered due to their collateral damage wording in the customer contract. After reading that section of the contract, it did not speak to this issue well at all. I pushed back on them outlining the concerns I had in the wording. They told me that their collateral damage wording "intended" to cover this type of damage, and since I had the repairs done before they could inspect it, there was nothing they could do for me. The repairs we had done to fix the issue they caused did not involve moving the damaged line, and I told them they can come out to inspect for themselves. They told me to go pound sand and good luck. They're talking out of both sides of their mouth and would advise that any customers considering hiring them make them explain to you what exactly is and is not covered by the collateral damage wording. If they treat you like they treated me, they can say they "intended" to exclude certain damages that were not clearly defined in their contract. Essentially, they break it and you're on the hook to cover the damages.

We contracted with Allied Outdoor Solutions for a large backyard project in June of 2021. It is now almost August of 2022 and we have run into so many issues I am struggling to keep track of them. The project is not yet done and I am not sure if/when it will be. We have had issues with basically every sub-contractor including significant errors that have to be fixed. Allied is extremely slow and seems to struggle to provide adequate oversight of their sub-contractors and has poor communication amongst their team. It has gotten so bad I have made a Youtube channel dedicated to the project and the issues we have run into. For more information, please see: [*** Link removed ***]

"The process was far from perfect, but I love my patio space and have spent a lot of time out here in the year since it's been completed. Allied Outdoor Solutions dropped the ball a few times, but they didn't abandon the project and they've been responsive handling problems after the project completed - some of which weren't even technically covered under warranty."

Great! The initial installation went smoothly and loved the results. After several months, starting getting a little separation in between pavers and called. Stephen was very helpful and had Jonathan come out and refill those areas free of charge. All the work was done timely and with great results!

We had a huge project that just completed 08-13-20. Our driveway was extended with concrete (including curbs to help water flow after heavy rains), epoxy coating on garage floor, pavers in our backyard/kitchen area & carvestone on our driveway, sidewalk & front porch. We have a lot of trees in our backyard and I wanted to save the trees so they suggested permeable pavers around the trees so water could seep down to the roots. It works! I would recommend Allied Outdoor Solutions for any outdoor work! Ours turned out beautiful!

Pretty much according to plan. The tear out did not take long and they worked so hard. Then excavation crew, followed by sprinkler repairs, then pavers and finally travertine. Every single worker was excellent at what they do best. The Columns were last and clean up was an every day occurrence.

We added a very large patio/outdoor kitchen to the back of our house. We interviewed several companies. And though Allied was not the least expensive, they were worth every extra penny we paid! Carlos was very attentive and responsive to any issue we had. We found him to be very honest and thorough. I would use this company again simply because I trust Carlos, but let's talk about the craftsmanship. IT IS EXEMPLARY! I have friends that are craftsmen and they were extremely impressed with the level of quality and attention to detail. If you've ever done any major home renovation, you know that there will always be unavoidable "hiccups". What matters is not the source of the issue, but how it is handled. And I can say that we were very happy with how Carlos handled all of our concerns. In closing, you get what you pay for and I am glad that we chose Allied to for this project! Thanks Carlos and company!!!

If you are looking for a first-rate company to transform your outdoor space into an oasis, look no further than Allied Outdoor Solutions. They are customer-centric and employ team members that are ethical, highly skilled at their craft and dependable. We removed an in-ground spa and the surrounding decking, leaving us with about 300 SF of dirt in our backyard. We tried without success for over 9 months to find a reputable contractor to come out and prepare a bid either for stamped concrete or pavers. Finally, I expanded our search area and that’s where we found Allied’s website. After researching pavers vs. stamped concrete, we decided to go with pavers. On February 28, I filled out a “contact me” form on their website. The local Allied office contacted me on March 1 and we made an appointment for March 2 to meet with Brent, our Project Consultant. We finally found a company that was responsive and actually seemed interested in earning our business. We met with Brent on March 2 and found him to be knowledgeable and helpful, making suggestions to include 3 drains in the area to be covered with pavers. He quoted us a price on the spot, one that was within the budget parameters we had set for this project. We signed a contract and put down a 20% deposit. Brent indicated they were about 3 weeks out schedule-wise, and we would be contacted to set up a meeting with our Project Manager. On March 6, we were contacted by Allied and scheduled an appointment to meet our Project Manager, Carlos Flores, on March 19th at 8 am. Carlos took detailed notes and measurements and finalized the contract, save for our selection of paver stones and the composition of our seating wall. Brent contacted us on March 21st with the name and location of the company in Dallas where we could go to pick out our materials (Jewell and Stone). That’s where we hit our first pothole. We spent over 1 hour thereon March 25th and left with more questions than answers. In hindsight, we should have insisted that Brent meet us there to guide us through the selection process. My wife called Brent and they selected materials during that call. Carlos contacted us on April 1st to confirm our selection of materials. Allied’s schedule called on April 3 to inform us the start date would be April 15 and she called again on April 12th to confirm it. Jeremy and Javier showed up on the morning of April 15th as promised. The dedicated team worked well together and finished the job on April 19, which was important as we were leaving early on April 20th and did not return until April 28th. We were home for heavy rains that occurred May 2nd and noticed a drainage problem in a circle we had cut in the pavers for a future fire pit. I texted Carlos with a picture of the problem and he got back to me within 2 hours with a pledge to fix it as promptly as possible. Now, keep in mind we had already paid Allied in full for the balance due on the project. Other companies are not real responsive after they’ve been paid. To their credit, Allied WAS responsive. Carlos contacted me again on May 6 and scheduled a visit on May 10th to determine what would be needed to fix the issue. Carlos and two other team members came out on the 10th as promised and took detailed notes of what was needed to cure the problem. To my pleasant surprise, I was given the option of having a team come by that same day to fix the problem. I jumped on it, as rain was scheduled for the very next morning. The fix (a drain installed under the fire pit) was completed on May 10th and it worked like a champ. We had 1.5 inches of rain on the 11th, and the fire pit remained dry. Everybody makes mistakes. It is how a person or a company handles their mistakes and makes good on them that differentiates the great ones from the rest. We can honestly say that Allied Outdoor Solutions is a great company, based on our experience with them. Did it go perfectly? No. Did Allied do everything they could to make things right? They absolutely did. We would certainly hire them again if the need arises, and we would heartily recommend them to our friends and neighbors. Carlos, Jeremy and Javier were the people we had the most contact with and they are the Real Deal. They were great representatives of Allied – knowledgeable, ethical, and customer-centered. These qualities are harder and harder to find these days.
