Pinnacle Foundation Repair

I had a great experience with Pinnacle and specifically Robby. We noticed some cracking in various areas of trim in our home. Obviously we were concerned about foundation issues. We called Pinnacle for a second opinion after being told it was just wood shrinkage. Robby came out and rather than trying to sell us something we didn't need, he was completely honest that it wasn't a foundation issue and therefore didn't recommend doing anything foundation-related. Having owned a home for a while, I've often been dismayed that contractors will try to sell you all kinds of things you don't need. Not Pinnacle. They will shoot you straight.

Work was completed as promised. Crew was professional and clean up was excellent. Very satisfied.

I contacted Pinnacle because I was seeing some minor issues with my foundation and wanted to get an expert opinion. Justin came out and did a thorough inspection and was able to answer all my questions. It turns out we did not need foundation work but Justin recommended other things such as gutters for our home. He also scheduled a follow-up up visit in 6 months to make sure everything was still ok. Even though I cannot comment on Pinnacle's foundation work, I give them 5 stars based on my experience with Justin.

After finding out we needed foundation work, we called a few companies and pinnacle was our favorite by far. They were very responsive and professional and gave us several options on the repair. The repair was finished in a few short days and the crew kept everything very tidy. Two months has passed since the work and some of the cracks in the walls have fussed themselves back together. We were finally able to finish the painting that we wanted to do! Definitely recommend, had great financing options and very responsive staff.

I can not say how enough wonderful things about Pinnacle Foundation Repair. My husband and I were very skeptic about having a foundation company do a free estimate so we hired a private engineer. We had several quotes from multiple foundation companies. We really did our research. However, the moment I met Mr. Brown I knew Pinnacle was the right choice for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and did not try to sell us anything. He only tried to help us. The entire staff is extremely professional and detailed. I felt like they explained everything step by step. Now lets talk about the product. We needed 25 piers (alot). Most competitors offer concrete pressed pilings only. Pinnacle Foundation offered concrete cylinders joined to double walled steel pipes at a better price. WOW! So happy we went with Pinnacle!

We had a great experience using Pinnacle Foundation Repair. We initially had Chris come for an inspection and estimate and he was very nice, professional, and explained every step of what needed to be done for our house and yard. We quickly received a comprehensive electronic estimate and Chris was easily available for questions. The teams that did the repairs were nice, efficient, and respectful. The crew lead and supervisor explained what to expect each day and reviewed the repairs with us on completion. We will certainly use Pinnacle again in the future, if needed.

Pinnacle Foundation's team members are all very personable and knowledgeable. They performed exactly as they promised and were reasonably priced. Nice, Knowledgable, Fairly Priced and performed exactly as promised. Can't get better than that!!!

I have not used the company, YET. I plan to though! Chris, the inspector who checked out my foundation was a peach. He arrived on time, even though I, myself was late! He was polite, friendly and professional. He squeezed himself into my tiny crawlspace and took amazing and accurate photos of the foundation. He showed me the pics and told me exactly what was going on, how to repair it in detail and what to expect. I had Cornerstone come out several weeks before I called Pinnacle and they gave me a totally different story that would have cost me a LOT more money! I will definitely be calling Pinnacle later this year to take care of my foundation issue.

James was professional and thorough. He was straightforward and concise with the process and recommendation. No work was performed due to no major foundation issues.

My review for Pinnacle is not short, it may be a little long, but it is well deserved. First, a brief history. Back in 2019 my wife and I noticed new sheetrock cracks and more foundation movement in and around our house. We have had our fair share of foundation repairs over the 25 years we’ve lived in Carrollton. We have had our foundation repaired three different times by two different companies. We had piers installed outside as well as inside. We now know our area is known for its expansive soils; Carrollton is in what is called the “Blackland Prairie” region having the so called “Black Gumbo” soils. No matter how we repaired the foundation, or how many piers were installed or adjusted, the cracks just kept coming back. This gave us doubts about the foundation repair business in general. We also discovered our “Lifetime Warranty” for our previous foundation work was no longer covered because the company went out of business. Not sure what to do next, we hired an Engineer for a professional opinion. His conclusion was not so good news. He recommended a full underpinning of the entire house, this meant new piers outside around the house as well as inside. He also said the previous piers were not deep enough and the concrete cylinder piers used before are unstable and were probably failing. He said this total “underpinning” repair could be cost prohibitive. My wife and I struggled with this news, trying to figure out how we could afford such a repair. We quietly delayed getting something done, hoping somehow it would just go away. Meanwhile, we could see cracks in the bricks and most of the doors inside wouldn’t close all the way. We even thought maybe if we move, we will just take the highest cash offer to sell our house and we could go somewhere else. About that time COVID hit and the housing market went crazy, we decided we would stay put. Now we thought it’s time to do something. Our engineer gave us names of a few foundation repair companies for estimates. Pinnacle was one of the few he recommended. We had estimates from five different companies, all of which was a bit overwhelming. Some suggested we move out of our house for the repair, and some were even a bit pushy trying to get our business. But when we called Pinnacle, we were impressed when we knew we were meeting with the President and CEO of the company, Robby Brown. Our first impressions of Robby were professional, straightforward, genuine and honest. We told him moving out of the house wasn’t an option for us, so he quickly, designed a plan for his crew to install the piers he needed while we could use our Kitchen, Breakfast Room, Master Bedroom/Bath and backroom, that was almost half the house! He needed 18 piers to be installed inside the house, and 31 piers outside around the perimeter of the house, this was a big job! Robby put us to ease when he assured us that all this could be done. Surprisingly, Pinnacle’s cost estimate was very competitive and even lower than some of the other estimates we had. Robby said the repair would take around 8-10 days. My wife and I had to think about how to get this accomplished and still go about our daily lives and work schedule. We knew we had to pack up things like lamps, décor, furnishings etc. but we could put all the boxes in the available backroom and closets. Robby said his crew could help move some of the heavy stuff and furniture out of the way, so they wouldn’t interfere with the repair area. All things considered, and we did consider everything, we thought that Robby and Pinnacle was the best fit and choice for us. So in September (2021) we decided to go ahead with this big project. The first thing that happened before any work started, Robby and Jeff LeGear, the Project Manager for the job, came out to verify the locations of all the slab grade beams under the house. They used a state-of-the-art X-ray digital scanning device or a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) that can locate concrete grade beams, reinforcing steel, cavities and voids under the slab. This allowed them to see what was really going on underneath. Robby made some final adjustments to the pier layout based on the GPR data before work began. The following week, Jeff came out with his crew. Jeff was knowledgeable, experienced and very personable, he took charge of the job and kept everything running smoothly. Preparations were carefully done covering the work area with plastic sheeting, even isolating our living areas with plastic at doors and openings. This was done inside and out, protecting our lawn and plantings outside. Adolpho, the pier installation foreman, had his team working efficiently and precisely digging and setting piers. Jeff and Adolpho had the job finished in 8 days! After the repair, the Pinnacle crew took great care of the clean up process, carefully removing plastic sheeting, rolling carpet back, making sure things were back to normal. This job was big, it was not easy for my wife and I, but Robby and all of his crew, made us feel at ease, and we knew we were in good hands. The most important thing is trust, meeting Robby the first time, somehow, we knew we could depend on Pinnacle. After the repair, reading the final engineer’s report, the numbers looked amazing, we knew then this would be the end of our foundation worries forever and no more repairs! Pinnacle, by far is your best bet with any kind of foundation repair, big or small, they will take care of you no matter what. Thanks to Robby, Jeff, Adolpho and Miguel, for a job well done! Pinnacle came in corrected our foundation and install a french drain system. Pinnacle was very responsive to our needs and addressed all of concerns. The team that came out to do the work did a fantastic job and worked very very well together - Finished right on time!

We recently had our foundation fixed that comes with a lifetime warranty through Pinnacle Foundation Repair. James Schmidt was extremely professional and friendly and explained in great detail how their repair procedure is done. On repair day, the workers were very fast and finished in two days. The cleanup was immaculate. My wife and I highly recommend Pinnacle Foundation Repair! You just can't go wrong with them.

Very seldom do I make recommendations, however, when quality deserves recognition, I want others to have the opportunity to be equal benefactors. From my first interaction with Pinnacle's office personnel, I was impressed with their interest and desire to determine what my concerns were so that they might better ascertain how they might be addressed. After scheduling my appointment, they followed up with an email and further called the day before to ensure that I would still be available at that time. On the day of my appointment, the person assigned to our problem was both personable and professional. After showing him my problem, he reviewed the entire house and garage to determine if there were any other signs that might be contributing to my issues. He also took readings of the floor in multiple locations throughout the house and garage to determine if there was settling taking place and providing a baseline for future evaluations. Finally, he reviewed the foundation from the outside and ultimately made recommendations to address the current problem, as well as, items that should be considered to avoid problems in the future. I am certain that my experience with Pinnacle Foundation and Repair is not an isolated situation, but rather a consolidation of individual efforts that represent a culture and desire to be the best in the business. I most wholeheartedly recommend them to others and will most certainly call upon them again should I have other issues that need to be addressed.

We’ve been having foundation issues for a few years, and needless to say, I’ve been avoiding it because of the horror stories I’ve heard about foundation repair companies and the repair itself. We had four companies come out to evaluate and provide an estimate. Each company that came out provided a different type of foundation repair. The representatives from three out of the four companies that came out bashed the other foundation companies and were trying too hard to earn my business. However, when Chris from Pinnacle came out, he didn’t talk bad about any other company. He answered all my questions. He was respectful and professional. I also called him with additional questions, and he was able to answer my questions in a manner that I would understand. He calmed my nervous by the way he answered my questions and his professionalism. The day of the repair, the crew showed up on time, they were very professional, and they checked in with me throughout the day. The entire crew were very professional, hardworking, and fast. I appreciate crew, Benito the crew leader, Victor, the Operations Manager, and Chris, the account manager for their work. I highly recommend Pinnacle to everyone.

Senior geologist arrived to inspect the property. Said that the property, built in 1940, was constructed on a slope, and that no immediate work was recommended. Instead, watching and waiting for any signs of stress then reacting would be best. Appreciated that honesty from a company that doesn't make money recommending no work! Since this was a second of opinions given by other companies we hired, took confidence in the assessment. We expect to need work at some point, so Pinnacle will earn our business if they're up for it.

Chris came over, and did a through inspection of the house including probably 100 measurements throughout the house. He said everything was good, provided what to look out for if there is a foundation issue, and advised us that it would be good to check movement every 5 to 10 years. What I appreciate is he didn't come out here with the intention to "find something" just to make a buck It was an honest review of the house and it's condition.

We requested a quote from Pinnacle Foundation Repair for foundation damage. Chris showed up early (after a call to make sure it was okay) and was professional and very thorough. He took the extra step to involve my husband in the process by phone call since he couldn't be at the inspection that day. He explained the entire process and the inspection to both of us in a way that we could understand. We were very impressed with the detail on the inspection site map of our home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pinnacle based on the interaction we have had with them so far.

Excellent! James has come out twice over the past year to inspect my foundation, and both times he confirmed that we do not require any foundation repair. He charged us nothing for his time and effort, and it was refreshing to have a contractor who was so honest.

As an engineer myself, I am extremely impressed with Nate’s depth of knowledge in the science of foundation repair. He presented the options for my mom’s house foundation in a manner that was amazingly easy to understand. All the information Nate provided tracked with my knowledge of the factors involved in foundation repairs. Nate was aware of the soil type in the area which I already knew was a significant factor affecting the type of repairs needed. Robby came out to inspect our home and was incredibly professional and helpful! After performing a thorough inspection, he let us know that the issues we were seeing were to be expected for a home of our age, with no major repairs required. He recommended some companies for minor drainage and irrigation upgrades. Nate is an expert at understanding what is happening with your home's foundation. Pinnacle provided excellent customer service throughout the entire foundation repair and drain pipe installation process. We had looked at a couple of companies. Pinnacle had the highest marks for Customer Service. They worked continuously during the Pandemic, while observing proper CDC safety measures. We felt entirely comfortable throughout the entire process from evaluation through completion of the project. James did an excellent job of assessing our foundation issues. He quickly pointed out that water pooling had contributed to our foundation problems. None of the prior Foundation Repair companies had noted that in their walk through .After the assessment of 11 piers, we were delayed by the February freeze. Kristin in the office rescheduled our repair to March. We had many questions about the overall process during and after the foundation repair. James answered all of them. During the foundation repair days James kept us informed of progress. We were able to keep socially distant with the Pinnacle crew the entire time. Throughout the rain storms in March, April and May, it has been exciting to see that the issue of pooling water is gone. The drain system is working GREAT !. We even noticed grass growing back in those spots where no grass had grown before due to erosion. When the Pinnacle crew left on the final day, they cleaned up and put back each of the plants. Overall a great experience and we will definitely recommend Pinnacle to everyone we know who is thinking about having their Foundation repaired or those having drainage issues.
