They were fast, efficient and extremely professional.

The Empire Today pricing model is to give an overall price. Most carpet installers quote a price per square foot. What does this mean to the consumer? The estimation for waste is hidden in the overall price. It makes it a little more difficult to compare the empire price to other bids as you have to ask questions and do the math. So, what do you need to know? Ask for the square footage that the estimator measured. Obviously, Empire Today is running a business, so they do not estimate a job by putting a finger in the air and guessing the square footage. Then, ask about what factor they use for waste. Empire Today uses 20%. Most carpet layers use around 10%. After that, you are ready to move to the install. Once the installers arrive, ask how many linear feet they have. Take that number and multiply it by the width of the roll to get the square feet delivered. Compare that to the estimate. If it's greater, then good for you. You may have some extra scrap you can use. If it's less (as was in my case), then ask for an adjustment in the price. I didn't catch it until they were getting to the end of the job. If you do it before they start, then you will be in a better position. The installers were excellent. They were extremely polite and did good work. They did run more seams than necessary because there was not as much carpet delivered in the estimate; however, that ended up being in closets. So, not a huge deal. In the end, I requested a refund for the difference between estimated carpet and what was delivered. It took a couple of follow-ups to get it done, but Empire Today did refund the difference. I felt that I did get a good value for the work that was done. It's just important to be informed and ask questions to ensure that something does not slip by. I would use them again, but this time I know what to look for in how their pricing model works as well as their installation process. And now, you too, are informed.

Ask for Marco's crew. I can honestly say they were craftsmen. I'm still sitting here staring at my floor and they did a really good job. Their workmanship really stood out and they delivered on all of their promises. They were here when they said they would be and they communicated well. Overall it was a very good experience and I even made a last minute change which went really well.

They were excellent. They came promptly, sent a large crew and did the entire house in one day.

Great job! I called Empire because their TV ads about home service appealed to me; I didn't have to go to the store or warehouse. I talked with Mason Meyerhoffer and told him what I was looking for. Because I work during the week, Mason came to my home on a Sunday with plenty of samples to choose from. He carefully tood measurements for all the rugs and filled out the order. My order was ready on time, and the new rugs look great. My expectations were exceeded, and the price was very reasonable in light of the special work they did for me. The entire experience was so pleasant that I have come back to Empire and to Mason twice already for additional work, including new carpeting for my stairs. I highly recommend them.

They were very expensive. I would consider using their services in the future and we would look at the price before using their services.

They worked out well. They installed the next day and their prices are a bit high. They do good work.

My wife and I visited an Empire kiosk while we were at the mall. We set up a time for a salesperson to come by our home to give us an ESTIMATE....there was no confusion about the "Estimate" part of the negotiation. An Empire salesman arrived a couple of days later and he promptly told us that he was there to take our order....before he even provided an ESTIMATE. I told him that there was no more to be said and that he could leave. He then changed his demeanor by blaming the kiosk salesman that he had made a mistake stating that when Empire sends a salesman out to a customer, it is assumed that the customer understands that they are going to be making a purchase from Empire. As far as we were concerned, we would never do business with Empire again. I contacted Empire a few times to submit complaints, but they NEVER responded at all.

They are exactly what they show in their commercials. They came to my house and gave me options. They had limited options but we had adequate designs to select from for basic home carpeting. The job happened on time. The guy who came was very knowledgeable and prompt. The quality of work they did was great. They completed the work in a timely manner, and the carpet they put is great.

I called for an appointment to have someone come out to our house in Rockwall to give us an estimate. In two days Tommy Woods came out and met with us. He spent several hours with us providing specific information about flooring that matched our needs. Because we have small dogs who tend to urinate in the house we chose a "wood" laminate which actually has a melamine layer, fiber board layer and design layer fused together. In a sense it is plastic made to look like wood. Tommy gave us more information than I have ever received from a sales representative. He was able to describe each of his products strengths and weaknesses in exquisite detail. Empire guarantees the flooring for 30 years which gave us reassurance also. The installers were right on time every day and always called before they were on their way. They were friendly, efficient and perfectionistic during the installation. They answered all the questions we had and cleaned up each of the three days it took to install the flooring.They left it spotless. We have now had the flooring for 2 weeks and are extremely happy with our decision to go with Empire Today. And no, I do not work for them and am not connected to them in any way, they just did a fantastic trouble free job from start to finish.

The install crew called to give me an ETA. They arrived on time, within 30 minutes they had the tile chipped up. They moved out the heavy furniture that I couldn't move myself. They levelled the floor. Undercut the brick hearth and all the door facings. The laid the moisture/sound barrier and installed the laminate. It only took about 30 minutes to do the living room and what a difference it made. The hallway, entry and closets took the longest. Once they got down the hall to the office it went quickly. They cleaned up, dusted the floor and moved back in the heavy furniture. They were polite and professional. Working together so well they hardly spoke. I think I could have done it myself for half the price, but never in a single day. And I don't think I could have done such a beautiful job. It was worth the added expense to have it done.

When we began vacuuming with our Dyson vacuum cleaner, we had to empty the vacuum at least 4 times each time. There seemed to be an enormous amount of lint. We just thought since it was new carpet, this was normal. 60 days later the lint just kept coming. We contacted a rep from Empire who examined the carpet and saw the amount of lint from just two rooms. His recommendation was just to keep vacuuming for another 30 days. I don't know how this was supposed to resolve anything. We just felt that the carpet was inferior. You could sit on the sofa and piles of lint would accumulate under your feet. The carpet was matting down in high traffic areas just after 60 days. Finally, we were contacted by a third party contractor. He said he was in no way connected with Empire Carpets. He took samples of carpet twists and lint supposedly to determine if the carpet was inferior. All I want is an adjustment on the price of the carpet, since I'll probably have to buy new carpet some where else. Another item of note, Empire will not quote a price of carpet by the sq ft or sq yd...they sell the job for a set price, labor,product,etc.

They are really costly. I used them because I wanted somebody who would do the job right. They put a good quality carpet. I just have to vacuum it one a week. They first showed me the samples. I had a lot of stuff and I did not like that they did not put the things back where it should be. The carpet is gorgeous and really soft. The service they provided was good, but the price was steep.

Advertised 12 mos free,no payments and interest free. Only financed 1/3 of fees and I had Excellent Credit History/Score, and wanted All charges/fees/ monies before starting. Fees excessive. Said 2 rooms free for each paid :FALSE. Unsupervised workers who spoke spanish and very little english.Average work for fees charged.

They installed it incorrectly and had to come back out. Less than 6 months later the carpeting looks worn and is not holding up especially over traffic paterns.

Sales was personable and prompt. Next day installation was offered, but we didn't want to be rushed spending 5600.00. Installation was scheduled at our convenience. Installers (5) were prompt and prepared. Caution was used with our indoor pets. Everyone worked very hard, very fast, and professionally. Cleanup could have been a little better, but I'm too picky about that. My husband later found 2 very small imperfections in the grout. Empire responded quickly and fixed them to his satisfation

Mason came on said date and time. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He made suggestions for each room. We finally decided on carpeting everything but the hallway which we laminated (they did this also). The workers arrived around 9 a.m. the following day and were done by 4 p.m.! They were very professional and friendly. They moved the heavy objects carefully and took apart the bedroom beds and dressers and reassembled them back together. I was very impressed with the whole process.

They were there on the spot the next day, just like how they advertise. The experience was great. They put down the tile while working around all of the big stuff around; I didn't have to move around refrigerators or anything like that. They did that.

The salesman from Empire Today came to my house to show samples on a Saturday. I chose an expensive designer carpet and he told me he couldn't give a quote because the carpet had to be ordered but he would get back to me by Tuesday with a quote. I didn't hear from him so called him on Tuesday and he didn't remember me and denied being at my house. I called his supervisor who agreed this was strange and that he would get back to me. A month later I have had no call from Empire Today. I contacted CC Carpet in Richardson who sent out a wonderful salesman, I got expert advise and the carpet was fitted in a timely manner.

I thought that they did a good job. The quality of the work was good. I thought that the price was a little bit high. The mice thing about engineered wood is that it goes in fast and that it doesn't get all dusty and gross.

They made their appointments and did the services as promised. They cleaned up and the job they did was excellent. The people were very professional and they came to get the job done and nothing else.

The did a very good job. They were prompt. They came out when they said they would. They cleaned up their mess. The quality of the work was good. I will use them again.

When we called the company, they said that they would be there the same day or the next day. That is the reason we went along with them. First, they had a salesman come out. He was courteous and knowledgeable. We chose from the samples that he had brought over. The guys who came to do the job delivered on all the things that the salesman had told us. They did a good job and there was no problem in the installation of the carpet.

Their prices are not terribly competitive, but if you are willing to pay moderately extra for a company that has a lot of extra personnel, they are the company for you. The quality of the work is excellent and it has been close to a year since they've come back out. I highly recommend them in terms of quality. They are a very polite team. They were all Hispanic, but one who spoke great English. I would have them back in a heartbeat.
