They were prompt, quick and completely professional. The price was reasonable, as well.

We recently bought a house and wanted to replace some of the carpeting that the previous owner had put in. We found that they had used this company, so in order to match the carpeting, we bought from this company. The sales rep was awful. They laid the carpeting and cut the carpeting in the middle of the floor so you could TOTALLY see the seam. It looked like two different colors of carpeting. I called to complain to the customer service department and they ripped out the carpeting, went and cut a new piece and reinstalled it with the seam near the edge of the wall. It was 9:00 pm before they had completed the job due to having to get a new piece of carpeting. The installer ARGUED WITH ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING HE COULD DO AND THAT WAS HOW IT WAS TO BE INSTALLED.

I contacted the Dallas office of Empire Today for a flooring estimate. Their on-line appointment scheduling was very easy. The flooring consultant arrived right on time. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. However, I decided not to use their services. Their selection is very limited (although I was able to find a product that was satisfactory) and their prices seemed to be about 40% higher than other quotes I had received. I did not need next-day installation, so I decided to get another opinion before proceeding. I felt pressured to make a quick decision, which I did not like. When I mentioned that their price was high compared with another vendor, the consultant made a call and came back with about a 20% discount. If I had needed next-day installation, I might have used them in spite of the higher cost.

I read my contract, on the back on my contract it says we get to keep whatever is left over. They did an excellent job of installation. I took the info out of the box of laminate. It says that wet areas are not under warranty. Wet areas include foyers. I had this installed in my entry way. I called back, I was on the phone for 65 minutes, most of which were spent on hold. I spoke with a supervisor who said someone would call me. I explained to her I would not be home until 4:30 in the afternoon. I never received a call until today and got a message saying I should call back at 2:30 when I am not going to be home because I am at work. The phone call was a week late and I still have not had my questions answered.

The installers arrived on time that morning. They were very efficient moving everything out, ripping out the carpet and prepping the floor for the laminate. Gave helpful advice regarding which way the laminate should be laid out and explained how to care for it. They had it all done and everything cleaned up by early afternoon. It looks great. I paid a little more than I would have if I'd gone through a hardware store but it was worth it to be able to shop at home and have it done right away.

All employees Empire hired and sent were very professional, on time, explained procedure, had samples to choose from, explained types of flooring and wore boots.

I called after receiving a coupon. They came out for estimate. I had mentioned that I wanted to wait to make my decision until I received other estimates. They gave price but inquired about other estimates. I did not want to share this information. I felt that they were very high pressure. I chose to go with another company. I would not recommend them to others.

I had to bump back the salesman appointment several times and was no hassle. Sales appointment went well.. the person brought several swatches.. he was professional.. knew what he was talking about.. and didn't give me the runaround. The price with $150 discount blew away the quote Home Depot was giving me on similar product.. they wanted $1100. Carpet installer guys came the next morning.. they moved all the furniture out no problem. They got the carpet installed in about an hour and a half.. and cleaned up after themselves. Was very smooth.. and the work was excellent.. looks very professional! Very happy customer!

Empire ended up being twice as much as another bid that I received with the same product.

This is part of a three-phase job which also includes laminate and carpeting (all done at different dates). The Empire salesman arrived on time as scheduled. We explained what we were wanting and needed to do. He was very professional if not over-talkative at times (probably could have got done a lot quicker). I ended up agreeing to an overall price for all three jobs combined. It seemed high, but we figured we were getting a lot done and it would be done right. But if I could go back in time, I'd definitely get the price lowered. So far (with the tile job done), so good. The next phase will be laminate (which will cover the most area of the three jobs). I expect it will be quality work. I won't use Empire again, however.

It a subtle high pressure sales. They called several times to set-up installation after I said I wanted to check around. I ended up getting a higher quality carpet for less.

From start to finish, there were no bad surprises! The installers came exactly when they said they would, and our rep called during that day just to make sure I was happy thus far. I thought that was nice! The workmen worked diligently from 8:00 a.m. until about 9:00 p.m. and when they left, the carpet was fabulous. They moved all the furniture beforehand and then asked me exactly where I wanted it to be placed afterwords. The quality of the carpet itself, as well as the whole installation process, was superb. The cost was about 3,000 and we covered about 1800 sq. ft, and the carpet is a good quality, too... stain resistant and plush. It's been about a year since, and I'm still very pleased!

They provided false information, they deceived me and misrepresented themselves. They started removing the old floor, they got half of the living room done and one co-worker called someone and charged me $1100.00 more than what the original estimate was.

It was very well done! I called and was able to have a Sales Rep come out the same day at 3 PM. I was given a window from 3 PM to 5 PM and he was at the house by 3:10. He did a great job of explaining their carpet offerings as well as the how the entire process works. He listened to my requirements and made suggestions to help me make the best choice for lifestyle. I never once felt pressured or that he was trying to up sell me. I received a discount for installing the next day, which is unheard of! The install crew arrived ahead of schedule and went over the installation instructions to make sure everything was clear. They were done in about 6 hours and it looks great.

The work went excellent. I had kind of an emergency and they came out on a Friday evening and came in on Saturday and put the floor in. They did an excellent job.

We finally got someone to come out and give us an estimate. He was really helpful and patient with us while we were deciding what we liked. I was a bit disappointed in their small selection of laminate wood flooring but I like the 3 day spill guarantee. He priced it out for us and we told him we would be back in touch with him after we mulled the price over. We called 2 days later and asked him if he could give us the price per square foot because we couldn't find that info anywhere on the quotes. He told us that he couldn't do that. When we asked why he said that it was against company policy. Well that was a big red flag to us. We're not going to spend that much money without knowing his measurements or the price per sq. ft. We just thought that was strange. What difference does it make if it helps us make our decision. We were so close to telling him to book the job and then that happened.

Overall good, thanks to personal director who didn't hesitate at all to get involved and resolve problems without hesitation.

I was very lucky to deal with such a good company. They did an excellent job. The work was done in a timely manner and they were polite when coming into the house. The floors look great. I would highly recommend them.

The quality of this company is always excellent. They have been around a long time and honestly it shows. The men that came were very professional, knew just what I needed, and the installation went smoothly. I would use them again without question.

It was pain free from start to finish. No hidden costs, no high pressure sales tactics. Empire Today provides a quality service for a fair price.

The installers arrived on time, moved furniture very carefully and completed the job in half a day. Casio and his brother worked so hard and did a very professional job. My husband said he has never seen two men work so hard. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. They will always get my business.

The salesman was on-time for the in-home estimate. He was fast and efficient. He explained my options and answered all questions directly with no spin. The workmen arrived on-time. They were extremely productive: taking up the old carpet, preparing the floor, and laying the new laminate in one day. The foreman answered my questions and concerns. They cleaned the work area before leaving, and the only way you could tell they had been there was the beautiful flooring.

They installed half the carpet on one day and then returned another day to complete the other half. We were really happy they were willing to work with us and schedule that way. The people came out the first time did not do that great of a job. The lines where the carpet ends are visible. The people that came the second time were excellent. You can't even see where the rooms divide. What I really like about them they were willing to work with us and it was at our convenience. They cut us a really good deal, they carry really good quality carpet.

MY FIRST INITIAL ESTIMATE GIVEN WAS FINE. WHEN THE FIRST CREW ARRIVED TO LAY THE CARPET I FELT LIKE THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. WHEN MOVING MY BEDROOM FURNITURE THEY BROKE MY HANDLE. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE FIRST CREW. THE SECOND CREW THAT CAME OUT WERE MORE KNOWLEDGE OF LAYING CARPET, AND KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. HOWEVER, BECAUSE THEY DID DAMAGE MY FURNITURE, I HAVE ASKED FOR A PARTIAL REFUND, AND SOME COMPENSATION BECAUSE I MOVED THE REMAINDER FOR THE FURNITURE. THEY HAVE YET TO RESPOND ON MY REQUEST FOR A REFUND.
