Warning: They will try to hard sell you and quot;this night onlyand quot; deal. Read on... Jason was a very knowledgeable sales rep. He arrived on time and provided a lot of information about the benefits of Conservation Construction's windows. I have no doubt they have a quality product. They are also proud of their Angie's List and BBB ratings. The price of 23K was far higher than I anticipated but I still planned on replacing 15 windows. When I said I needed to check on financing from my credit union and I would give him a confirmation in a few days, Jason said that the offer was for that night only. Once he left, the discount being offered would not be available. This kind of hard sell technique has an immediately negative affect on my perception of a company. Had this been stated when Conservation Construction first arrived as and quot;We have a deal we can provide only during my first visitand quot; then I would not have reacted so negatively. Popping it on me at the end was a very bad idea. I was told that is the company's policy. A huge Manufacturer's price was quoted as and quot;this is what the windows are worth.and quot; $40K+. I only care what Conservation Construction's bottom line price is. Their bottom line price is at least 40-50% more than the highest quality/priced windows from competitors. Conservation Construction would not provide a clear formula for how discounts were applied for various numbers of windows. i.e. What is the discount percentage if I buy 27 windows vs 15 windows? The answer was and quot;well there is a manufacturer's discount and then another discount plus the third discountand quot; to which he had to re-calculate every time. (Discount percentages can be combined to get the final discount. i.e. 23% discount with 18% discount is always 36.86% discount regardless of the order discounts are given) My advice and thoughts: o. It shouldn't take Conservation Construction more than 30 minutes to complete the presentation and get to a price. o. Discounts should be able to be clearly laid out as a bottom line. and quot;Your discount is x% at this level.and quot; o. You should ignore all the prices but the bottom line. Ignore high red herring prices. These are ploys to make the final price seem lower. o. A company should be able to provide a quote and stand by that without requiring you buy that minute. Even 24hr quote is better. In summary, while I have no doubt that Conservation Construction's windows and work are excellent I was very disappointed in their hard sales ploys. For that reason I decided not to purchase from the company.

Salesman did a great job of explaining window features; he was knowledgeable of competitors’ windows and the differences between theirs and his. He presented us with options that other window salesmen did not, and his windows had optional features that other window salesmen didn’t. He presented us window options that not only would better the appearance of our home, reduce energy costs, but would also bewithin our budget. The installer scheduled very quickly to take detailed measurements and went over the install process with us. He was very professional, polite, and timely (this is a major concern of ours, because since moving to this area this company’s employees have been the ONLY ones who have shown up on time, and have kept us informed of the status of the job along the way). During the demo and install of the windows, they cleaned as they worked. When the job was done, with the exception of now having new windows, it was as if they were never here. While they were working they were exceptionally courteous, and worked quickly. Installer followed up after completing job, and went over window features and care. He also made sure our alarm installer would have no problem reinstalling the sensors on the replacement windows. Our alarm installer did comment that this was the first time he has had a window contractor be mindful of the alarm system and not crush or damage wires or system in any way. Conservation Construction customer service, as well as the salesman followed up with us after the install. They handled all the permit issues and scheduling of the inspector. We immediately noticed a temperature difference (and sound reduction) in the rooms where the windows were installed. With the options the salesman presented us the view has also improved dramatically! We plan on continuing replacement the remaining 30+ windows in the rest of our house with Conservation Construction!

The windows replaced had become foggy and were no longer functioning as they should. I had spoken to a Conserfvation Construciton of Texas representative about a year a go and mentioned that I would be interested in replacing a few windows the following year. The company contacted me a year later and I set up an appointment to have someone come and meet with me. The saleserson weas very thorough and professional in his presentation. The product was quality and superior to many of the other windows I had looked at. A price was quoted, certainly not the least expensive quote I received but product seemed worth it. I did not feel pressured to buy. About a week after I signed a contract someone came by and measured the windows. It took about 6 weeks for the windows to come in. They were installed about 2 weeks later, a date that fit my schedule. The installation was seamless. The crew was efficient, professional. The installation took about half a day and clean up afterwards was well done. There was no evidence of the any debris, etc afterwards. I would recommend this company and definitely hire again.

A man and women arrived at my house. The man did most of the talking. I'm not sure why the woman was there. The sales presentation took a long time. He explained the benefits of energy efficient window, which I was already familiar with, but I understand that they need to explain for people who don't know. Then he took out the infrared light to prove to me the difference in the windows versus glass. I asked to skip that but he insisted. Finally, they measured some of the windows that I was thinking of replacing. I was really looking forward to an estimate. I received a few hard to read numbers on the back of their business card. He said that I could get a discount for being a and quot;newand quot; neighborhood. I thought that was weird as I'm close to their office in Grapevine so I wouldn't think that I could be a and quot;newand quot; neighborhood. I figured it was a way to give everyone a discount. Anyhow, in order to get the discounts I would need to decide that night. I think that I'll find someone else to replace my windows.

I think there may be some confusion with regards to our company attempting to contact you so many times. The reason that happened was because you signed a contract with us in February of 2013 to replace 31 windows in your home. One of our installers was attempting to reach you to measure the windows soon after the contract was signed, but when he wasn't able to make contact he advised our TX sales manager who spoke with you in March. You advised him at that time that you wanted to wait until November to move forward with the windows; so we had your estimator call you and confirm that you did not want to cancel the contract. She was told that you didn't, so she contacted you in July just to keep in touch and was told that you'd like to wait another month to move forward. She attempted to contact you several times beginning in August, but was unable to reach you so we cancelled your contract internally in October; and have not attempted to contact you since that time. If you would like to move forward with the window replacement, please let us know and we can set an appointment to revise the original contract.

Very well. The project manager (Kirk) measured approximately one week after the preliminary measurements were used to calculate the cost. His response to the second measurement was, in short, sales people measure to quote but he has to order and do the installation. and quot; There is no room for error, and quot; he said. The cost quoted was guaranteed, no matter what Kirk came up with. It took approximately a month after Kirk's measurements to get the windows, which are made in Texas. Upon their arrival, Kirk called and we agreed on an installation date of October 31. A crew of 3, including Kirk, arrived around 8:30, as Kirk had advised the previous day, unloaded the windows, and proceeded to remove the old windows. The date of installation was December 11. They worked quickly and work was completed in approximately 5 hours. All exterior debris was thoroughly removed, including caulking, which is a very impressive clean-up job. They laid covers on the interior and covered my treadmill but the nature of the work resulted in alot of dust which is the responsibility of the homeowner to remove. I'm very happy with the insulation (krypton gas) and quality of the thick glass, double-pain windows. Their major financial impact will result when the days get warmer. They arranged the building permit and posted the necessary documentation near my front door.

The windows look really nice and work exactly as described. The west and east facing windows don't get hot at all like they used to. The workmen were professional and polite. They were often late, but called to let us know that. They could have cleaned up better and they had a constant issue with leaving the front door open all the time. Two of the installed windows had small scratches. The company took a month, but they replaced the affected windows at their cost.

My house was built in 1997 so it is time for new windows. Several of them are fogging up so I decided to get some quotes on replacing all of them. These guys initially knocked on my door but I was too busy to talk to them and told them to call me later. After about a week, we made an appointment and their salesman came out to my house. He presented information about the company and explained how they got started and how they installed the windows. He also showed the construction of the windows and had a big show about how well they reflected solar heat by using a heat lamp and and various window samples. All was well. I liked the presentation, I liked his professionalism and I was ready to hear about the price. He was slightly higher than I anticipated and he finally came down to about 16,500 (eliminating the labor charge according to him). We discussed other aspects of the windows and I explained to him that I needed to take the information he provided me and do my own research on the windows and his company and that I would let him know if a few days. At this point he told me that his price was only good for tonight and I would have to pay the 20k if I wanted them later. When I explained to him that I didn't appreciate high pressure sales tactics and was no longer interested in dealing with him, he argued that he had a psychology degree and knew what it took to get sales. In my opinion, If 16.5k is a fair price today, it should be just as fair a week from now. I learned long ago not to be pressured to take advantage of time-sensitive offers.Any company that has to resort to these tactics has something to hide.

I can assure you that our company does not have anything to hide. We have been in business since 1989; and part of the reason we've lasted where so many other window companies haven't is the fact that we strive to provide excellent customer service from the time our marketers knock on your door to the time you no longer live in the house. The fact is that many business offer sales, and many businesses also offer one day sales. In addition to this, the window market can also be a bit volatile so we never know when product prices are going to increase (which would mean sale prices would also need to increase); however we certainly don't promote pushy sales tactics. We hope that you find a company that you feel comfortable having replace your windows.

I used Conservation because we were satisfied with the design, construction, and quality of the windows. Lori, outside sales person, was easy to work with, and even came back the next day when we decided to make changes to our order. The windows took about 6 weeks to come in, but no surprises as we were told that they would be about 6 to 8 weeks. The same installation crew was the same crew that took the measurements, so it was good to see the same faces on the job. The installation was fast and the installers were very professional and courteous. I was very happy with my experience with Conservation Construction, and will use them when I replace the rest of the windows. ,

We had checked around with different companies to have new windows installed and chose Conservation Construction. We were extremely pleased from beginning to end. The salesman was most knowledgeable. He did not pressure us in any way plus took time with explaining and answering our questions. He also worked with us regarding payment options. The installation crew was prompt. We were impressed with their meticulous and clean work. We look forward to completing our project replacing all windows in our home, and of course, will be using Conservation Construction.

Installed professionally and did a good job cleaning up after themselves, but created a lot of dust in the entire house which I guess I wasn't expecting to have to clean up afterwards. Hi {Member name removed}! Thank you for the favorable review. We are sorry to hear that there was dust left behind after the install. The normal practice of our installers is to cover furniture and belongings with drop cloth, and to vacuum any dust once the install is completed. We apologize that it doesn't sound like that was done on your install; and the installer who did the work on your house is no longer with the company due to these type of issues. Please let us know if there's anything we can help with in the future.

Mr. [member name removed], there were a few issues with your windows that held up the installation being completed; and we sincerely apologize for the length of time that it took to get those issues resolved. Our company puts a lot of trust in our installers to take care of our customers in a timely manner, and rest assured that the fact that this did not happen was dealt with immediately. We do hope that you are happy with the windows, and assure you that this will not happen again if need anything taken care of with regards to the windows in the future.

The only thing we have a problem with is the NEAT glass. It is impossible to clean. If a sprinkler system hits the glass, the water spots are numerous and they cannot be cleaned off with Windex or Zep. The technician suggested we use a straight edge razor blade to remove the spots. We are wary of doing this as we don't want to scratch the glass. Because of this problem, we would not use this company again, or we would ask for a different glass. They have always been helpful, but could not solve the issue with the glass. They even offered to replace the glass, but obviously, it would just happen to the new glass also, so this really isn't an adequate solution. Within 24 hours of posting this review, the branch manager called and the next day he and the owner of the company came to our house. They actually cleaned our windows with the cleaners they brought and if the spots continue to be a problem, they will do what it takes to make it right. You can't ask for anything better than that! I am changing their rating to an A.

It went great! We first contacted them in April, 2012. We set up an appointment in May, 2012 and they came out and gave my husband and I information on their windows and gave us a thorough explanation of their quality, etc. We decided to go with them to replace our windows. They told us it would take approximately one month for the windows to come in and that they would call us for the installation. Sure enough they called us approximately one month later. Unfortunately for us however, we discovered foundation problems during that time. I called Conservation Construction to inform them we could not have the windows installed until the foundation issues were taking care of. They were great. They worked with us and just told us to call when the foundation issues were taken care of. After the foundation was fixed, I contacted Conservation Construction. They scheduled for our windows to be installed and they showed up on time and did a great job. We are very pleased with our windows. Since our house faces southwest, we get a ton of sun all day long. These windows have definitely helped cool our house. It is HOT in Texas in the summer and these windows have definitely helped!

Initially had an estimate and decided to put off getting new windows. When I finally decided to get the windows I called back the rep and he said he didn't work there any more, so I called the office and all I said was 'I want to go ahead with the windows'. They said they'd have the same guy call me, interesting since he didn't work there anymore. Eventually got the local service manager to come back out, this was the only strange thing of the whole process. The installer came a few days later as scheduled and on time, to measure all the windows. He was very professional and efficient. Once they ordered the custom windows it took almost a month to get them made during which the manager let me know when they'd be ready. Scheduled the installation for a two day period, it went very well, they showed up exactly when they said they would, worked all day and had everything cleaned up. Day two was also well done, no issues. They were very neat and clean throughout and left with everything just as I wanted it. It was a fairly major construction project, the results look tremendous and we are already saving money on energy bills. I probably ought to give them an A on price as well but it's pretty hard when you spend that kind of money...
